Greater than one weekThis is a great product and it has a great price. Just power it on and plug in your network cables and youre in business. My internet modem only had 2 ethernet jacks, so I needed some way to expand my capability to get my networked devices online. Works great out of the box with great speeds. I highly recommend it.

> 3 dayI replaced a five port with this eight which expanded the number of available devices. As a plus, the bridge maintains great speed on all ports. One caution, add plugs in order, do not skip a port opening. I did and for some reason, the end ports did not work well. I do not know why, but re-arranging the plugs solved the problem. I keep an extra line on the end port, available to plug laptops or tablets for hardwire internet access (always faster than WIFI). Get a few long cat-6 wires to reach separated devices.

> 3 dayIve been using this for a few months now and its great. Its been solid the entire time and I havent had to reboot it. It is one of the smallest 16 port switches available. I used it to wire up all of the rooms in my home. It works perfectly and I couldnt ask for anything better.

> 3 dayMy last switch was a dlink, it was a piece of junk. On the dlink about a third of the ports were bad. My 16 port switch was more like a 9 port switch. I ordered the gs116 as I liked the smaller form factor. So far all the ports are working perfect. If you need a basic non-managed switch, this is a great buy

> 3 dayIve had multiple Netgear switches. Theyre usually quite durable; I have two of the plastic Gigabit switches which are still running strong for over five years, no problem. I previously had a metal router with a comm port that was fantastically customizable and was used daily for four years until I sold it. I thought this metal version would be equally durable; it failed within 2 months. Dead as a doornail. I would otherwise rate the switch as a one star experience but for Netgears customer service. Opened up a ticket, chatted a few minutes with a rep, dropped the old one in the mail and in 7 days had a BRAND NEW (not refurbished) switch. So I rated the purchase as a 3 star. If the new switch lasts, thus proving the former device as a one-time dud, Ill upgrade and update my rating.

> 3 dayworks well with the existing netgear switch. Plug and play. I needed to upgrade my SOHO space from 5 to 8 ports, and this did the trick.

> 3 dayGreat value for this gigabit switch. No set up required other than hooking it up to power. If youre wondering why you dont get 100+mbps, then this switch might help.
