Bought this switch to help mitigate the issues I was having with my wireless connection dropping constantly on my work computer. During these times it was important that I had a stable connection to all my devices. The switch now feeds data to 4 of my machines at home that were previously all on wireless. With the extra ports I can expand this to more devices in the future.

Its a passive NetGear switch. Theres not much to it, but itll run for years and doesnt require any effort to make it work. Theyre not the best switches as Ive had managed NetGears that didnt adhere to the 802.1x standard and were bought for that purpose, but they work with the basic functions. I use them at home, never again at work.

I bought it for a present for a kid I know who loves gaming I tested it out with my internet 940 Mag down 50 Mag up it performed it with no problem it does what its advertised one full gig

Plug it in and forget it. Great quality switch.

This switch works just as well as any unmanaged switch out there, and for the price, its a no-brainer!

Great unit! Ran 13 Cat 5E cables to the his unit to get rid of wireless, couldnt! Ask for it to perform any better!! Great purchase!!

Great product for connecting more then one device to internet

This is a great little switch for the money.

If youre looking for an inexpensive, 8-port dumb switch (perhaps to connect ethernet cabling throughout your house), this is a great option. No instructions really needed to use--simply connect your cables (with one coming from your router, of course) to the switch, and plug in the power adapter.

I live out in the country so I need better signal strength but was limited to what I could hook up now with this eight port I had enough ports to hook everything up and some left over got my signal strength up so I am happy I purchased this unit it gave me the ports I needed
