Works as intended. Does indeed support VLAN tagging and such as what I was looking for.

I can find connection problems, without having to walk the property for problems.

I have used Netgear equipment for as long as I can remember, like from the early 80s and they never failed me. Small and large, managed and not all easy to use easy to install and they just work. Never had one failed on me and never changed one because of age, only because of needs. You want a workhorse that will work until you dont, get a Netgear! Honest, it will outlive you.

I had this unit for about a year and a half. I liked that it is metal and appeared to be sturdy. Then it just stopped working one day - the power was on, but all outlets were dead. I naively thought that Netgear will just replace it, the warranty is 5 years, so whats the problem, right? Well, I think the goal of their customer service is just get rid of you and whatever problem you have with their product. And here is how crafty they are at it.

Ive always been a fan of NetGear and this is another must have, amazing product.

This switch is solidly constructed and easy to configure. Perfect for adding vlan support to a small network.
