Works every time right out of the box. Has the metal housing that differentiates it from the cheaper units.

Easy to set up and not overpriced switch. Durable build, feel like heavy duty equipment. Very stable even with full load on all ports, few nice features like separate bandwidth limitation for every port and great support comes as a standard.

I was between this and the TP-Link 8-port, but the reason I settled on Netgear is their spec sheet indicated 16gbps internal switching capacity! TP-Link was unknown or a maybe, and I tried looking for the specs.
