NETGEAR 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged Switch (GS308) - Home Network Hub, Office Ethernet Splitter, Plug-and-Play, Silent Operation, Desktop or Wall Mount

My last one died after 7 years in a dark, warm, coat closet and it was great the whole time. I always keep a spare switch incase this stuff happens. Solid product for a hard life on a switch.

Ive been using this switch for about 3 years now and have had zero issues. I ran a Cat6 cable from my router to another room where I have this switch mounted to my entertainment center. This cable is about 35 feet. I have Comcast as my ISP and getting 1 GB download speeds. All of my devices connected to this switch are seeing the full 1 GB speed. What else can I say? Its reliable and it just works as advertised.

Super easy to install and works great. I highly recommend this product.

Easy setup. The App made it more confusing. It made me believe I had to configure the switch. It is just plug and play, no setup needed. However it does have advanced features if you need it, such as VPN and other security settings.

This Smart Switch is simply bad and Netgear customer service is horrible, if not non existent. The item arrived all scuffed up, tape residue on it and damaged like it was 5 years old. The smart features require you to make a netgear account to have access to them. When I went to make an account it told me this switch is registered to someone else. So after 8-9 emails to netgear I only got one response from them saying the switch is registered already to someone else. Rest of my emails have been ignored by netgear and this item is essentially a door stopper now. Netgear customer service is disappointing, in comparison to other network item manufacturers. If you have a problem you are on your own.

After installing the switch and wiring all the rooms that needed a port a realized that I could put my Wi-Fi in any room and switch would automatically pick it up and transfer it to the other rooms. I did not expect that but it was a bonus. Plug and play and works flawlessly.

Very efficient and working well.
