> 3 dayIt was easy to install everything worked as it should and seems well made time will tell . For the price and ease of installation well worth the ease of mind if something does leak.

> 3 dayI bought this to protect against major leaks in a 2nd floor laundry room. The product is well made and packaged, and includes good instructions. The included hardware for wall mounting was cheap (as is the case with most products), so I used my own. The included template for marking the holes was a nice touch. I first set it up in the kitchen to verify the operation of the valves and the water sensor......everything worked great. Once I connected the fittings to the original valves in the wall, I realized that I would not be able to push the washer back to its previous location. Would have lost a few inches do to the electronic valves and fitting. So I decided to cut slots in the plastic housing in the wall to allow the valves to move further into the wall. That worked great and allowed the washer to slide all the way back to its original position. I like the indicators on the control unit that let you know if the valves are open or closed. It also has a vacation mode that can be used to close the valves with the push of a button. And the valves also close in the event of a power failure. I am confident that this product will perform if necessary, which is worth the cost and time to install.

Greater than one weekThe concept is great, but when the water sensor is placed on a concrete floor, it shuts the water off. Repeated test, by removing/reinstalling ac plug, same results. Do I need to seal/paint the concrete floor where the sensor goes?

> 3 dayThankfully have not had a real life incident. :) Good investment if you have washer dryer above your living room.

> 3 dayProduct works perfectly. It already saved us!! [someone] forgot to close the trap drain on the washer and ran a cycle… Water poured onto the floor, and this device shut off the water source immediately and alerted the household and me. It prevented damage to our ceiling, walls, and floor and saved us countless time and cost. I installed it in 15 minutes. Just follow the instructions carefully. I believe my device only works on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi…so it’s not working for you, check the installation instructions or contact the manufacturer to help you.

> 3 dayThe reason for only 4 stars is that I have not had a water leak since installation. I did not see another with this simple functionality. If you even think about buying this you should do it. The alternative of a flood is very painful.

> 3 dayBest safeguard purchase I have ever made. I am a professional mechanical, instrumentation and electrical engineer and I have purchased and or installed many pieces of equipment during my tenure. The MyGuard® Automatic Laundry Water Shut Off System Automatic Laundry Water Shut Off System rates up there with the best products I have ever received and installed. The whole kit is very well thought out, from packaging, the installation instructions, wiring, controls and hardware - perfect. The kit was a pleasure to install. Our laundry room is on the main floor of our ranch style home with walkout and fully finished basement. A leaking seal or hose rupturing would cost thousands in repairs so this kit is worth every nickel. Now to be sure it worked - I took a thimble from our sewing kit - filled it with water and dumped it out by the sensor - valves went shut within seconds of the dump. This kit gives us peace of mind for any laundry issues, now I need to research to see if MyGuard® makes something similar for our automatic dishwasher. Note: I did not use the supplied drywall anchors - purchased a more substantial pair.

> 3 dayI bought this just last week, and with the proper tools, I was able to install it in under an hour. Since the pipes at home were coming from above and there was not enough space, I had to cut off a bit of the wall from above to accommodate the blue/red motors ( which closes and opens the pipes). I initially thought about installing these upside down but I am not sure of gravity will have any effect on the blue/red motors. Everythings works for now. Unplugging the main controller,or pushing the test and vacation mode buttons shuts off the pipes. This will give me piece of mind at least when we are out especially on vacations. Our washers are upstairs so imaging the damage that this could do. And as a background, our house is fairly new and about less than a year into owning it, there was water dripping from upstairs to the bathroom downstairs. We found out that the connection from the pipe to the washer hose has been dripping for perhaps a couple of days prior. We had still warranty on the house back then so we did not have to pay any. I bought this as I want to prevent that from happening again as that will surely cost more than the 99$ plus tax I paid for this. I have zwave devices installed at home but I thought that Id go with this as this shuts off when the electricity is off. I am not sure about the zwave device for water shut off, but I know that in case the electricity is off, then my zwave hub is also off. Another factor is that sometimes there is a glitch in the zwave system where I have to repeat commands. I plan to install a zwave device (to shut off the main water line) as a back up for the whole house, but this device is good for what I just mentioned - not relying on a network that may not work when you need it most. Of course, I am not really looking forward to the day that I may need this but I call it insurance and assurance.

Greater than one weekThese things work. If there is even the slightest drip a buzzer goes off. I thought they were a waste of money, but my husband insisted on buying them, and theyve proven to be worth every penny!
