Greater than one weekI had checked out different types and brands of laundry leak detecting shut-off valves, being that we live in a 5 unit condo, have a tight location with no access from either side, or the top of the full size stacked washer and dryer. If there was ever a problem there would be absolutely no way to get behind and shut the valves off. This was a reasonable price and being in the machining business, these valves work flawlessly in the tests I put them through before we had the washer installed. After mounting the valves, I unplugged the power and heard the solenoid valves shutting off.Perfect! Next I re plugged the power back in and heard the solenoid valves opening up again.Again Perfect! Lastly, I placed a damp facecloth over the leak detector that gets placed on the floor below the valves and hoses. Within 3 seconds the audible alarm went off and heard the valves closing. I am very pleased with this purchase and finally have some peace of mind that our condo and those below us are protected from a flood from the washer hookup.

> 3 dayI purchased this product at the end of February. It was working fine and everything was great until this morning. I attempted to do a load of laundry and my washer alerted me that no water was flowing. I checked the alarm and it was off for some reason (there was not a leak and hoses were fine). All lights were off on the alarm. I pushed the reset button and nothing happened. I unplugged the alarm and plugged it into another outlet and it worked for a second and then kept tripping the GFI and then it finally just died. The frustrating thing is when it broke it shut the water off so no matter what we had to pull out the stacking washer and dryer from a tight space so it took us over an hour to pull them out and unhook the alarm connections to then do a direct hookup with no alarm protection. What is the warranty on this thing and to be honest I dont even want it anymore as why was it tripping the breaker (not safe) and I dont trust it anymore. 100.00 bucks down the drain I am not happy

> 3 dayUPDATE: Have been speaking with seller. Fully willing to send a replacement and update with the newer version. Great service on their part so moving to 5 stars. First review: We installed the units and initially they worked great. After a few months, the top portion, Blue valve, now is leaking slowly. All of the connections are good but it leaks from the top. After searching for a customer service number to see about an exchange, I cannot find anything and there is no way to return. Will update the rating if able to connect with seller and get resolved.

> 3 dayThe company that put this kit together spent a lot of time on the packaging, manual the control box and shut-off valves. Very well laid out and very very simple to install. The kit comes with everything you need, including a template to mount the box, tape, screws, wire ties, even an extra outlet! They really thought of everything. Not sure if you have ever installed a Floodstop but they could take a Big lesson from this company ! Floodstop just gives you some parts and a generic install manual that is for all of the products. You have to go to the hardware store to get the needed fittings. I would like to see this company make a unit for the furnace dehumidifier which notoriously leaks now and then. For the price, it is a great value! No point to a photo for it looks exactly like the one posted.

> 3 dayHappy with the product overall. It correct shut off water twice times over 2 years... only issue is the last time it would not reopen valves (kept sensing water even after drying senor for 48 hours). This is my second purchase, still a good value for the money it saved me.

> 3 dayA quality item with everything needed to hook up. Valves were closed until pushing the test button and then the water started flowing. Wires could be a bit longer but not a big deal. The washing machine can flood the laundry room quickly even when you are nearby. We have had one flood while at home and one while we were not. Not anymore. Will still turn off the house water when we leave for more than a day but will have one less thing to worry about with these two systems in place.

> 3 dayI believe I got a defective unit. After install, I could hear the valves opening to allow the water to flow. Problem was water only flowed initially. Newer washer is computer controlled for its water needs. When washer requested more water, none was forthcoming. Did the valve close dont know. Only know the error message was that water was not supplied and washing machine shut off.

> 3 dayThis automatic shut off system worked....well sorta... It was attached to our washing machine supply line with the moisture detector placed on the floor directly under the connector hoses. In the middle of the night, we were awakened to a loud alert; the detector identified water. However, it was a slight leak coming from a nearby utility sink supply line that reached the sensor and not the washing machine itself. The system turned off the water to our washing machine. My husband and I quickly turned off the supply lines to the leak source at the utility sink and then spent the next 2 hours trying to reset the system so that the water supply to the washing machine could be restored as that was not the source of the leak. Frustratingly, the reset button does NOT reset the system. The instructions say that it will automatically reset when the floor sensor is dry. That has not happened either. We have tried manually drying the sensor with a towel and then with a hair dryer. The system will still NOT reset and restore water to the washing machine. Our last attempt at drying the sensor....we have it sitting in a bag of rice for the past 4 days and will try again. If this does not resolve the ability to reset the system, we will need to remove the system and search for a new product. Update. My husband ended up contacting the company. The customer representative said that to reset the product so that the valves will open the water supply lines, the system needs to be unplugged from its power source until all lights on the system go stop blinking and go out. This can take anywhere from 30-45minutes. Then once the system is reconnected to power, then valves will open. This information is NOT FOUND anywhere in the manual OR on the website!!!!! We did as verbally instructed by customer service and the system did reset. Manual NEEDS TO BE UPDATED!

> 3 dayWith the laundry room on the second floor of our house and new hardwood floors everywhere, we were concerned about a leaking or broken washer hose causing severe damage. The drain pans we found at big box stores seemed really cheap and inadequate. We got a quote for a custom drain pan for the washer to drain it to the outside of the house in case of a failue: over $5,000! These automated valves have proven to be a far more reasonable solution. We turn them on prior to running our wash and off again when were done. Its not the perfect solution, but it is effective and easy to justify the expense.
