Greater than one weekBeen using Norton for years. Always protected without any problems. 24 hour tech support is worth its weight in Gold! Any time Ive had to contact them, I always received expert service and was always asked if there was anything else I needed to make sure that I was totally satisfied before they ended the call.

> 3 dayI dont mind having VERY frequent updates, scans and fixes because it is for security, but I have experienced fixes that forced me to keep my PC ON for hours! I tried to chat to get it troubleshot and it sent me to phone calls. In order to get confirmed for the call a recorded message asks me for my last 4 digits of the SSN and the year of birth (precisely the type of data you dont want circulating around!). FInally talked to a person who asked permission to login in my PC, the scan was magically over and the call got cut (I dont want to think he hanged up due to my complaints). Ive used NORTON for years, but I feel they are trying a lot of new stuff and going through painful troubleshooting. Im not happy but there seem to be few good alternatives.

> 3 dayWhat is not to like. It is easy to install, it snags malware when you happen across it, has added features over the years and it is easy to manage. Since malware is part of our day to day journey on the web, it is important to have a product that does the job before you make a mistake.... I have built every computer I have owned since approximately 1992, and Nortons has been my first line of defense for as long as I can remember. Note, I use others, like Malwarebytes etc. But my first line of defense is Nortons 360 antivirus.... Note I have no relationship with Norton other than I am a user of their software.

> 3 dayI was going to order it from a retail store, when I read the comments a few people felt the Norton came from a third party and had problems installing. This was from Norton worked great and tech support helped me get it installed. If you are on auto renew it will be quite a bit higher cost in a year. So find out how to turn off your auto renew. I still haven’t done it yet, they auto renew 3 months before expiration is what I heard/read?

Greater than one weekIve been using this product for years, and so far it seems to be working to keep my computer safe...... hopefully!! It is cheaper than buying it directly from Norton.

> 3 dayWhat I like about Norton is it seems to do a reasonable job of protecting my PC/Info. Of course if someone has risky internet behavior, not sure much of anything will protect you. The worst thing about Norton is the Auto-renewal trap, $100 renewal fee. Its the main reason I dont want Norton to have my credit card info, I dont trust Norton with Credit card billing, they have shown they cant be trusted. First thing is to cancel auto renewal, stay current with Norton Billing, then hope for the best. I paid $9.99 for this subscription, not Nortons $100.

> 3 dayBottom line, I like the Symantec/Norton malware protection I get from this product. I have been using it for a couple of decades now (in its various forms). When Norton decided to go to the subscription model, I was not amused, but as written in the FAQs, one can buy a new license here for much less than the automated renewal, but it comes with a minor cost: You have to install the new license, at least on one computer. Here is what I did: 1) Waited to get a good deal on this SW around the Black Friday time frame (to be installed at the end of the year). 2) Waited until 45 days before the old license was set to expire then went online to discontinue the automated subscription (I messed up last year and paid full price). 3) Waited until the day the old subscription expired. 4) Uninstalled Norton 365 on my main machine. 5) Rebooted. 6) Installed the latest North 365 (per the instructions) and used the new Key when prompted. 7) Went into MyNorton to assign the new Key to my other machines. 7a) Had to uninstall and reinstall the code on my smartphone in order to apply the new Key to it. This was the only minor issue I had. This renewed subscription is now running on all my computers and my one phone as expected!!! At the reduced cost! Piece of cake.

> 3 dayIve been using Norton since 2006, & have been very satisfied with them.....until now. On September 1st, I received my key codes in the mail. I called Norton Support to guide me through the process for another 1 year of service. I thought.....it went well, until it made my Google Chrome a total mess. Nothing looked the same. I lost my custom background picture, shortcuts, etc. Was NOT happy at all. It also wont do an on demand scan on a folder or file now. The window doesnt appear...so I dont know what its actually doing. It STILL hasnt been fixed. Everytime I get on the internet, I have to take extra time to get things back to an acceptable level...again. Technical support has gone so down hill, its pathetic...& a slap in the face to a long time customer, such as myself. Theyve been telling me since September 1st, that they will be calling me back to fix things...& that its now a Level 2 issue. They still have not called...& its now September 9. Ive called a few times to remind them & hopefully get these problems fixed. I am an extremely dissatisfied customer, & I highly doubt I will continue using Norton products. This is unacceptable...& their once great customer support.....is now long gone. Sad. They dont care about customer anymore, & actually talk down to you. I shouldnt have to wait 8 days to get them to call me back, as promised several times. They still havent called me to fix these issues. I guess Im on my own. It would be great if Norton brought customer service back to the USA, but I dont see that happening. This will be the last year using Norton, unless things are improved.
