> 3 dayI am updating my review - I attempted to install it. They told me from Norton help that I had a bad key (said it was geolocked - I later learned that meant it indicated it was bein used in an inappropriate country). Their techs solution was for me buy the program again (he offered to discount it to 25% of their regular purchase price -I said no, I wasnt going to pay again to get what I already bought). I filed a consumer complaint , and when they got that information, Norton paid a little more attention to my concerns. I was contacted by someone from Norton with more authority, and more knowledge (thats how I learned about geolock and what it meant). Based on their email recommendations, I tried turning off my VPN, but that did not work on my desktop. While I was unable to update my account to the new Norton on my desktop, I ultimately was able to update it on one of my tablets (30 feet away, and connected to the Internet via the same network). Once it updated, I was able to log in to the account on my desktop and install it on the desktop computer. The Antivirus appears to not be slowing my computer down. I have had no hits on the lifelock service yet. As for the password manager, it is a major pain, having to log in and reenter passwords multiple times for it to work. I will not be using that service - it is significantly more cumbersome than my current set up. If it had worked like this at first, I would have given the program a 4-star rating, only knocking off one star for the password manager. But because of the lengths I had to go through to get real support, I knocked off another star, but it is significantly better than the original 1-star.

> 3 dayProduct took a couple tries to download. Before installing, make sure you have uninstalled any previous versions of Norton and that you have current billing information input. Also, if your internet connection is interrupted, you may also get a Bad Product Key notice. If these 3 things dont work, call Customer Service: 1. Make sure all prior versions were uninstalled 2. Make sure you have updated billing information input 3. Check that you have a strong internet connection.

> 3 dayI had Norton before but dropped it for the new Antiviruses after Norton did not seem to be keeping with the new computer infections. I then saw the reverse when the new antiviruses began to not protect my computer and,on top of that, were charging extra for every single upgrade out there while Norton got better and offered all the upgrades and same new features for a single price. Well, back to oldie but goodie and cheaper too.

06-06-2025This review is for the Norton 360 Deluxe 2022 Internet Security Suite. Ive been using Norton products for many years on computers and Android smartphones. Ive always been very happy with all the Norton products that I have used. Ive never run into a virus or malware issue using their products. I also have not seen any machine slowdown or high resource utilization, although reviews do say it uses more resources than several of the other competitors. Only a couple of times over the years was I not happy with the interface, but I have always been very pleased with the performance. The one thing I find annoying with Norton for the last couple of years is that they are constantly advertising their products and upgrades, which is annoying. The one thing I do not recommend doing is installing their web browser extensions. Every professional review and I.T. professional I have talked to agrees that the adding the web browser extension reduces security. This is because the web browser makers are able to updated and patch their browser quicker than Internet security software makers can. All the publication reviews that I have read put Norton in first, second, or third place. The Microsoft Windows Defender software that comes built in with Windows 10 is also highly rated, but every review I saw still ranked Norton above it.

> 3 dayIve been a Norton user for a long time, going back to Norton Utilities in the 1990s. Their product is excellent, but the new automatic renewal program is a scam. Two months before the renewal date I went into my Norton Account to turn off the automatic renewal, which I did. Two days later I went back to my Norton Account to verify that automatic renewal had been turned off. It was not. I turned it off again. On recheck it still was not turned off. I let it go, knowing that the credit card on file had been replaced with a new card and number. Sure enough, a month before the renewal date Symantec had tried and failed to charge my account. Every day since then I have received emails and pop-ups imploring me to update the credit card info so they could process the automatic renewal. Fat chance. My renewal date comes up in two weeks, and I fully expect to receive a fantastic renewal offer. Too late. I just now placed an order on Amazon for Bitdefender Total Defender which I will install as Norton expires. A very long relationship is about to end. Goodbye Norton by Symantec.

> 3 dayI wasted the past 90 minutes trying to install this software. When I followed the initial steps, I was prompted to create an account but was told that my email address was already associated with an account. So, I requested a password reset 3 times and never received it. Then I spent 30 minutes with Nortons online support and they were unable to email me a password reset. They told me to reboot my computer which seemed like a waste of time and it was. As a workaround, I decided to create an account with a new email address and was able to do so. Then I was prompted to download the software and reboot my machine. So, I installed and rebooted but was prompted to install. I saw no indication that the software had been installed so I repeated the downloading, installation, and rebooting and was once again prompted to download the software. This ordeal was a 90 minute waste of time. I would expect much better of Norton.

> 3 dayGood enough, but no matter how many times you reject using one of their features, Norton support will pester the snot out of you to do it. It is extremely annoying.
