> 24 hourIve used this product for several years and highly recommend it. HOWEVER, Norton is becoming more and more aggressive with forcing auto renew down your throat and bombarding you with ads, and ads disguised as recommendations. They make it quite difficult to purchase this item on Amazon and then get it successfully added to your account without 30 minutes on the phone or chat with tech support. If you just add the 25-digit code to your account, youll get your one year of coverage BUT LOSE ANY DAYS/MONTHS/YEARS REMAINING ON YOUR CURRENT SUBSCRIPTION. And if you dont turn on auto renew, youll lose access to some of the promised features, and pay through the nose when the auto renew hits. Norton is not a customer friendly company, so beware!

> 24 hourBeen using Norton for many years and never had a virus or crash. However, in some years, I had to call Norton tech and have them install it. Particularly difficult on tablet and cell. Once installed, easy to use and very, very effective.

> 24 hourThis is a good antivirus program. It has too many adds promoting other Norton products,, to the point of annoyance. This is an auto renewal subscription. The will bill you for the renewal without providing a reminder beforehand.

> 24 hourI have used the Norton antivirus for several years, and it seems to work good. BUT, it is very expensive.

> 24 hourI will not allow Norton to renew my subscription, they charge almost DOUBLE the cost of just rebuying it! It is annoying I need to do that each year because I have to change the license on each notebook I have it on, but well worth the savings.

> 24 hourHave been using and trusting Norton Anti-virus for over 20 years. Great technology, seems to work. That is the key reason I have renewed every year. Indeed, the top three reasons is that their anti-virus software seems to work. However, I hate their idiot user approach. Tells me I have a possible virus in one email out of thousands in my Thunderbird email folder, and do I want to quarantine the entire folder? Absolutely NOT. Can not toss away thousands of messages. They should provide info, such as the message sender, subject, date & time. hate the renewal policy. After installation, if you allow them to auto renew another year, the cost is several times higher than a new purchase with a new serial number. Just buy new, get a virtual credit card from your bank with a $ limit, and use that for the required auto-renew data. Mixed feelings, but overall recommended because their anti-virus software works. The bonus feature of cloud backup is nice. Recommended as part of a safe computing strategy.

> 24 hourSymantec is just plain anti-customer and anti consumer. They force you to do auto renewal and gets you for over $100 when a key like this is sold for $40. And then they make it hard for you to use the key without any easy online renewal like you get with Playstation Plus, Xbox live, or any other sane subscription service like Amazon prime. But it is still better to buy the key, slog thru their customer support with a live person and save $60. And DO NOT forget to delete you credit card info from their website so their auto renewal will be busted.

> 24 hourI have been using Norton for over 20 years without issue. They continue to innovate and bring new features to their products, many times without cost increase. They have been reliable and for the most part have required little user interaction to work. Sure, there are all kinds of settings you can tweak but I find that for me it works pretty much right out of the box (so to speak). I run the scans at regular intervals and follow other prompts when directed but beyond that it just runs in the background. I use the password manager feature and safe web browser extensions regularly as well as Life Lock. I also use the android version on my phone and tablet because I just know it works. As good as the product has been though I do have a minor complaint. I could do without many of the notifications I get on my computer. These are not product related notifications. Many are company notifications or notifications with an attempt to upsell me to a product I do not need or want. You have a right to send an email if I agreed and signed up for it however sending unsolicited notifications just because I purchased your software can drive away customers and is not a good company practice. Luckily, the number of notifications to this point has been small yet still enough to warrant this response. On the note of shady business practices is a larger complaint that I have with this company and that is with their autorenewal service. By purchasing and installing the software you agree to an autorenewal policy. That really shouldnt be a big deal but here is where it gets shady. First, they want to charge your credit card over a month in advance of your renewal date. Of course, they notify you of the impending charge but 6 weeks before it is due, seriously. Another big thing with autorenewal is the cost. If you dont cancel it, they will charge you MSRP (that is suggested retail price not actual retail price) which at this time was around $106. $106 for an item selling for $20 to $30. Of course, as soon as you cancel autorenewal they hit you with an offer to renew at the much lower price. How about you stick what you would like to charge and just charge me what it is currently selling for at the time and do it one week before the due date not 6 weeks. Again, I really like the product and its features I could just do without yet another company trying to take advantage. I run your software to try and keep from being ripped off not just to allow you to do it. I now relinquish the soapbox.

> 24 hourI have always been a Norton fan when it comes to the protection of my PC. I also use many of the features available besides the antivirus. It amazes me that Amazon sells Norton much cheaper than you can buy it from Norton. As long as that is the case I will choose Amazon every year.
