July seems to be when Norton is a steal at Amazon. I dont have 10 devices, but I can share the registration code with someone who is not in my household. Once you enter the code during the registration process, your year starts, even if you dont load the other licenses onto other devices for weeks or months later. This also means that if you buy several copies of the software (say, a great sale price), you can just stockpile those licenses for several years until you need them. (Personally, I wouldnt buy more than several years worth, as a lot changes in software, and there may be dramatic upgrades that youd want, such as new cybersecurity protections not yet developed.) 1- The Big Thing: Yes, you have to use a credit or debit card, or PayPayl, to register your Norton product. (For Shame, Norton.) I dont think its much protection to use PayPal to keep your private info from Norton, as both PayPal and Norton would seem to be prime targets for data hackers. 2 - Canceling Auto-Renewal: As Soon as I Finished Registration, I went into the options of my account (you will have to create one if you dont have one already), and I canceled auto-renewal. I didnt have to call anyone (maybe Norton paid attention to the reviews here), but I did have to go through a 3-click process to cancel, as Norton tried to pressure me to keep the auto renewal. (Shame, Norton.) You just keep clicking that you dont want it, and youre done in 10 seconds. 3 - Ease of setting up: The set-up link requires you to first read the Terms of Service, but then didnt take me to the right page for entering the registration code. I went round about through various web pages, but I think logging in, if you have an account, might have been the better way to start. When I did, I finally got the text box to enter the code. (Be sure to have cookies enabled for the set up, but I did not have to disable Adblock Plus or Ghostery, another blocking app.) 4 - Downloading: I already had Norton on my laptop. I did not have to do anything to the old version, including uninstalling it. Norton asks you to download the new version, and installation was very quick and problem-free. With my cable ISP, it took just a couple of minutes. 5 - If this is your first time using Norton, plan a good 30 minutes to go through every option to customize your Norton product as to how you want Norton to function. Its tedious, but after that, new installs retain your settings. 6 - The most important option -- automatic update: Ive been a user of Norton for decades. Ive never had a virus, malware, attack, or other problem. But I also play it smart and careful when Im online, and its critical to keep Norton updated as cyberattacks happen round the clock. This is the only app/software that I allow to automatically update itself, which happens whenever I go online. (I do not leave my computer connected to the Internet 24/7, for security.) The update happens behind the scenes, so to speak, is quick, and never interferes with the function of my browser. I also have Norton automatically scan my computer for viruses, malware, etc. Let Norton do its job. I hope all of that helps you.

Nortons a good product. It does what to has to do without getting in the way. Thats a given. Subscription renewal is easy but pricey. So its nice to be able to buy Norton from third parties and save some cash. The problem is that its not so easy to use a new activation to extend an existing subscription. Well, its only a matter of waiting for the old one to run out before activating the new one. Thats fine if youve only got one or even a couple of subscriptions to extend. But as the number of seats climb that becomes impractical. What I do is activate the new subscription and then give Symantecs support line a call. I politely ask them to cancel the new, unused subscription and add it to my existing subscription. It takes a few minutes, but then all of your seats are extended. I wish they would include an option to do that without a call but then I guess they wouldnt sell so many renewals from inside the product. At least tech support is always helpful when you ask.

The product does EXACTLY what is promised. The installation instructions are slightly different than the box. Just open the app create an account and the rest is pretty self explanatory. This product is something that you can’t do without.

I will not allow Norton to renew my subscription, they charge almost DOUBLE the cost of just rebuying it! It is annoying I need to do that each year because I have to change the license on each notebook I have it on, but well worth the savings.

This was a tremendous value - you get so many more services from Norton in this version than previous years, including Lifelock monitoring and protection. Our family uses so many devices now, this covers all of em with a couple to spare just in case we add another tablet or phone. Like the service I get and the ability to tune up my PC. Also love the VPN protection on mobile devices because it protects us so much better when we use public wifi at hotels or airport. Just great. Im okay with auto-renewal feature, by the way, because Norton has been really good about notifying ahead of time so that I have time to shop for a better price (as I did this time around)! Easy install. Whats not to like?

Ive used Norton for years and needed to upgrade my annual subscription so I bought this subscription. I wanted to extend my current subscription by just simply adding a product key and not having to download anything else to multiple devices. Well, this will be an issue since there is NOWHERE to enter a product key thats provided with this product. This product is sent to you, a piece of cardboard with your product key number. However, you can not enter it without logging into your My Norton account online and then being prompted to re-download another Norton product.... but THERE IS A SOLUTION! I had to first log into my My Norton account and contact customer service via their websites chat-box. Once I was connected to a live person, I had to be transferred to a Technical specialist. The first live person WILL be customer service so you need to be transferred to a tech person because customer service can not assist you with this install. Once you are connected to a tech specialist, they can enter your product key for you and automatically extend your current Norton subscription on ALL your devices without having to re-download ANY new software. They will ask you for your product key so they can discard it and replace it with an extension of your Norton subscription adding 366 days to it. This took less than 5 mins once I was connected to a tech specialist, its quick even though a tedious extra step. This is a cheaper option to extend your current Norton subscription but you HAVE to contact Nortons technical support team to have them manually make this adjustment to your account for you. Its worth the extra step to save half of the price of the auto-renewal plan. You can also turn off the auto-renewal as soon as you extend your subscription or advise the tech person to turn off your auto-renewal for you. Ive read other reviews saying you are a force to auto-renew which isnt true, you can turn it off (simple on/off button on your account). And reviews saying you cant use your product key which isnt true, you just have to contact Norton to manually do it for you. I hope this review helps :)

Ive used Norton 360 for some time and Im happy enough with it. But very expensive if you let it auto-order. Buy it and then de-activate the auto renew and you can buy it again the next year much cheaper on amazon
