> 3 dayI certainly would not buy it again. Everyone is different when it comes to PC protection but I didnt like Norton 360 and it was like pulling teeth for them to return my money because they automatically charged you for the next year even though I canceled as soon as i joined. What a hassel. Would not do business with them again.

18-11-2024I have always been a Norton fan when it comes to the protection of my PC. I also use many of the features available besides the antivirus. It amazes me that Amazon sells Norton much cheaper than you can buy it from Norton. As long as that is the case I will choose Amazon every year.

Between You and Me
> 3 dayJuly seems to be when Norton is a steal at Amazon. I dont have 10 devices, but I can share the registration code with someone who is not in my household. Once you enter the code during the registration process, your year starts, even if you dont load the other licenses onto other devices for weeks or months later. This also means that if you buy several copies of the software (say, a great sale price), you can just stockpile those licenses for several years until you need them. (Personally, I wouldnt buy more than several years worth, as a lot changes in software, and there may be dramatic upgrades that youd want, such as new cybersecurity protections not yet developed.) 1- The Big Thing: Yes, you have to use a credit or debit card, or PayPayl, to register your Norton product. (For Shame, Norton.) I dont think its much protection to use PayPal to keep your private info from Norton, as both PayPal and Norton would seem to be prime targets for data hackers. 2 - Canceling Auto-Renewal: As Soon as I Finished Registration, I went into the options of my account (you will have to create one if you dont have one already), and I canceled auto-renewal. I didnt have to call anyone (maybe Norton paid attention to the reviews here), but I did have to go through a 3-click process to cancel, as Norton tried to pressure me to keep the auto renewal. (Shame, Norton.) You just keep clicking that you dont want it, and youre done in 10 seconds. 3 - Ease of setting up: The set-up link requires you to first read the Terms of Service, but then didnt take me to the right page for entering the registration code. I went round about through various web pages, but I think logging in, if you have an account, might have been the better way to start. When I did, I finally got the text box to enter the code. (Be sure to have cookies enabled for the set up, but I did not have to disable Adblock Plus or Ghostery, another blocking app.) 4 - Downloading: I already had Norton on my laptop. I did not have to do anything to the old version, including uninstalling it. Norton asks you to download the new version, and installation was very quick and problem-free. With my cable ISP, it took just a couple of minutes. 5 - If this is your first time using Norton, plan a good 30 minutes to go through every option to customize your Norton product as to how you want Norton to function. Its tedious, but after that, new installs retain your settings. 6 - The most important option -- automatic update: Ive been a user of Norton for decades. Ive never had a virus, malware, attack, or other problem. But I also play it smart and careful when Im online, and its critical to keep Norton updated as cyberattacks happen round the clock. This is the only app/software that I allow to automatically update itself, which happens whenever I go online. (I do not leave my computer connected to the Internet 24/7, for security.) The update happens behind the scenes, so to speak, is quick, and never interferes with the function of my browser. I also have Norton automatically scan my computer for viruses, malware, etc. Let Norton do its job. I hope all of that helps you.

> 3 dayIve used Norton in some form or another for over 15 years. It seems to get more and more complicated to activate a new subscription every year. This year was the worst yet. Youd think you could just provide the new product key and it would be applied to your existing devices. That would be too easy. What a f*****g pain in the butt. Thankfully I was finally able to add my 2 computers and 5 android devices (I had to remove every device then add them back one at a time ... WTF ???). Norton used to provide internet security - thats what I buy it for. Not all this other crap that I never use. Too many ads. Too many pop ups. Too many gyrations to unsubscribe from the mandatory auto-renewal. Too much aggravation. No more. Im done.

Greater than one weekThis purchase was to enable my continued Norton 360 protection when my current subscription expires. I give it only 4 stars because I havent had any recent experience with their competition. Ive always been happy with the product, had good experiences with Tech Support when I needed it and generally have seen no reason to change. I dont like the automatic renewal feature but you can cancel it. (Tech Support will help you figure it out - it isnt totally intuitive!) Is it the best product? I dont know. Maybe there is something better -- the rankings on AV products seem to vary year by year -- but Norton 360 fits my needs and, again, I see no reason to change.

> 3 dayI ordered from Amazon and the card key came in 2 days. I tried to get platinum but Amazon would not bill it to my card and Amazon CS couldnt see why, as premium billed immediately. Install without deleting my old Norton was easy and no problems. It takes a few minutes for the Norton 360 to show in the bottom right on win10. My VPN is seriously questionable though. Do a speedtest, note the good speeds without VPN enabled. Enable VPN and do a speedtest. Mine for wireless drops from some 50/60%. I verified this of several wireless devices. Plus in the speedtest it shows, with VPN enabled, the cities for the test in Ohio or Kansas - Im in Memphis and always test in memphis - unless the VPN is on. AND, the VPN enabled shows in the lower left of the speedtest that Im routed to AMAZON!! When VPN is off it shows Xfinity. I might suggest buying from Norton and go through their servers for VPN, I HAVE TO ASSUME IT WOULD GO THROUGH NORTON SERVERS, but as I see it, Im routed through Amazon with VPN on and the drop I get is totally unacceptable and I seriously doubt they have customer service who would know anything about the VPN and servers. I get Norton protection, 10 devices, and with VPN my internet speeds are all but dead. My attachments show the Amazon in lower left when VPN is enabled.

> 3 dayWith the exception of one person (the last one we communicated with), setting up the latest version with Norton agents was not a good experience. The first agent helped to install 5 of the devices. For some reason he couldnt install one device. I was transferred to 4 more agents that couldnt help me. Too many people who could not install the update properly! Thankfully, after six and a half hours, we found someone who was able to properly install the Norton Three Sixty Premium subscription to the last device! Once this was completed, everything was fine. It just took entirely too long.

> 3 dayDoes it work for stopping viruses? Probably. But Norton has become a virus! The problem is that several times a week I have to close ads on my desktop from Norton. They use scare tactics about other data breaches to try to upsell your subscription. I turned off the option for adds from them and they still pester me.
