This product is must buy if your 3d printer in your bedroom. before it was hard to sleep when the printer was working (in big projects that took over 24 hours ) but now it is super easy. the Installation wasnt to hard but I needed to turn to YouTube for help .

Purchased to replace the fried stock board after I shorted the heating cartridge... and I dont know why I didnt short it sooner! This board takes the noise level from obtrusive to just noticeable, and now I can only hear the power block fan. Would highly recommend. I dont know if this is standard on this board or not (or if I can change it), but it requires the printer to be shut off and turned on to recognize when you put a new SD card in. Kind of annoying - I will update if I find a firmware patch for this.

I had been fighting a progressively worsening layer shift in one axis. I tried adjusting belt tension, bed screws, rollers, and everything else I found in the tutorials. Nothing worked. Finally saw a mention that the motherboard can overheat and slowly degrade. After a few tests I realized this was my issue. I replaced the motherboard with this one, my print quality has greatly improved. Motherboard runs much cooler than the original. An added bonus is a quieter printer! Highly recommended, especially if you have layer shifting caused by an overheating.

Firmware NOT INSTALLED AS SPECIFIED. If you’re not a programmer-you’ll be doing a lot of Google searching and You Tube watching. Update: -Obviously in a better mood now- Well, since quarantine I’ve not only learned Fusion 360 and Cura, but now I’ve got a basic understanding of Microsoft Visual Studio and Marlin 2.0. When I got the board, it had Marlin 1.0 installed and was not compatible with my stock Ender 3 Pro. This board is now working very well. Plenty of room for firmware options. (I was surprised). And oh yes, your stock stepper motors will be silent. Seriously, you only hear the fans now! (I wasn’t looking to do this-I enjoyed the steppers singing to me! It was very easy to know when the print was complete.

I was shocked how quiet it is compared to the OEM board. Its setup in the basement, so the noise was even louder before. Now its great with this board upgrade!

I bought this board, because it was supposed to be the silent version, and it was also supposed to have the Marlin 2.x firmware already installed. Well.... it is silent! and I am sitting here listening to just the fan noise now instead of the stepper motors, which is fantastic! But!, this has Marlin 1.0.1 firmware.... not the 2.x firmware as advertised. Beware! Now I have to f@$k around with updating it to 2.x.... exactly what I didnt want to do, and what I supposedly already paid for, otherwise, Id rate it 5 stars.

Fairly easy to install, take pictures. Removing hot glue is the worst thing. You wont believe how quiet it is. Havent noticed any improvement in quality or time over the 4.2.2 board yet

It did exactly what it said it would and made my printer all but silent

My printer was advertised with a silent motherboard and when I turned it on I didnt think it was that loud. I could have it out in the lobby and nobody could hear it from their bedroom. Then one day I accidentally knocked either a tiny capacitor or resistor off of the board that was essential to the Z endstop switch and my printer could no longer home. So I installed this board and WOW! When it started moving it was eerily quiet. Barely audible while youre right in front of it.
