> 3 dayBoard comes beautifully packaged, and it is easy to swap out the old board and install the new boaqd, BUT it is a total nightmare trying to find the right firmware. The User Manual is nothing but a one page circuit diagram, and the linked video tutorial is in Chinese. And, you need a magnifying glass to read it. They would have to work hard to bring the instructions up to useless. How can a Chinese technology giant treat its English speaking clients with such disdain and disregard? What would it cost to hire someone who has a passing understanding of English grammar and syntax to help write instructions?

17-11-2024Upgraded from old ender 3 board to new to install cr touch. Just finished installing and turned on after flashing firmware as expected. It turned on and everything worked fine. As I was checking everything I noticed the print bed was at 75°F. It continued to rise so I shut the printer off. Did some reddit research, checked every wire connection and found out it is a bad mosfet from factory. Unsafe. Do not recommend

> 3 dayI have a standard Ender 3. Not a Pro or V2 or Max. Just an Ender 3 and this was the easiest/best upgrade I have done so far. I upgraded the hot end and cooling fans to the noctua fans to reduce noise and that helped a lot but I cant get over how much quieter it is after installing this silent board. Basically the printer is silent now and can run all night and not disturb anyone. Hard to tell if the prints are better. I was printing really well before the upgrade and that hasnt changed. Now just great prints and silence. Amazing.

Greater than one weekThis board is great, between it, changing the hot end fan to a 40mm x 20mm noctua and setting it on a concrete paver with foam under it the printer is nearly silent. Since it lives in my bedroom that’s a huge upgrade. The install was pretty straight forward. The only thing that sucked was removing the glue holding all the connectors into the old board.

> 3 dayWorth the money 100%. worked on my ender 3. It made my ender 3 so much quieter. I don’t even hear the steppers anymore. I also purchased a dual Z axis and a CR touch and my prints are just keep getting better! Make sure when replacing the stock board to unplug one wire and plug it into the new board. Don’t just dive in and unplug everything! Hopefully this helps someone.

> 3 dayIf I knew it was this quiet I’d bought years ago. Highly recommend. Also you need to flash the firmware. It’s not plug and play.

> 3 dayThe board was fairly easy to install however the firmware is all but good. It works but only sorta. This would be great if the firmware was good

> 3 dayIf you just purchased an ender 3 and are annoyed by how loud the machine is, THIS should be your first upgrade purchase! It makes all the difference in the world. Literally takes the machine from “I can’t have it in the house” to “I can sleep with it running” After this I recommend upgrading the fans to noctua for almost complete silent running.

> 3 dayMuch better. Much quieter. The only noise I hear now it just the fans but those can be upgraded to silent fans too I’m sure. The print quality is about the same but it’s up for debate. The thickness is about the same as the outgoing motherboard. The warmth is also similar to the old board.
