> 3 dayAs others have noted this is almost a drop-in replacement for the old board. There was no documenation with the board, the only item not clear was what connectors to use for the two different use-case fans on the hotend. The only noise now is from the fans, there is no motor movement noise. Upgrading firmware is easy, copy it to the SD card and reboot the printer.

Greater than one weekUpgraded my Ender3 from factory MB to this one, the difference is night and day! Much more smooth movements, and virtually silent.

> 3 dayHavent printed with it yest, just doing diagnostics so far. When they say noiseless.. wow. Unbelievable! I had to mute the TV to make sure it was working! Reason for 4 stars is the simple fact that is was not loaded with anywhere near the latest Marlin. Had to download and load to machine, which is what I am doing now. So in essence, not truly plug and play. I bought it for the simple fact that it is replacing my 8 bit board, and that it is silent.. And needed to be able to burn in my z offset, instead of physically moving and readjusting it manually due to a bed replacement I did. All in all, so far so good. Would have given it 5 stars if it had some sort of current version of Marlin.. Version 2 has been out for a few years.. so that really could have been done.

> 3 dayI received the product in an anti-static bag. The board inside had lost of dust and grime on it, as if it were stored out in the open in a warehouse for maybe 6 months before going into the sealed back for selling. That made be VERY nervous. Had I gotten a defective customer return? Was this going to fail and burn my house down? After looking it over very carefully, I didnt see any actual damage to the board, so I installed it in my Ender 3 Pro. I have an early 2020 model, so all the directions I had seen online were of limited help. My board is accessible by opening a panel UNDER the unit, rather than on top like most directions showed. However, after accessing and removing the board, I was able to install it OK. One gotcha I couldnt figure out was which fan plugged into which. The extruder side blower (NOT the hot-end fan, which goes to a wire terminal), and the board cooling fan both have the same kind of plug, and theyre labeled Fan 1 and Fan 2 on the board. I figured out that the hot end cooling blower (the one that runs only after the first layer is down) goes the fan header closest to the limit switch headers. The board cooler plugs in above that (more to the middle of the board). I noticed the user interface is much more responsive than the old board, and manual moves allow a much more precise movement option besides the 10, 1, 0.1 mm. As for the sound of the steppers, its pretty much gone. There is a VERY faint sound from them when quickly changing direction or fast traveling, but under normal operation, its essentially silent. The cooling fans are most of the noise from the printer now. Actually, heres how quiet it is: When doing an Auto Home, the limit switch clicks are louder than the motors, and Ive never been able to hear the limit switches over the noise of the motors before. Movement is very smooth and quiet. Its not magic, the drivers seem to be using micro stepping, which greatly eliminates the sudden movement when a step is commanded.

> 3 dayI cant really rate it yet, still having trouble finding the firmware, really wish I would have paid more attention to the description where it said plug and play if Ender 3... not Ender 3 pro which is what I have and I keep trying different firmware -what happens is when it boots up I get a loud beep.

> 3 dayI was super skeptical at how this would make my printer more quiet. It really doesnt make any sense to me but the stepper motors make almost no sound now. The only noise is just the fans now. This was a great buy.

Greater than one weekI literally tried all day to print with this board. Its not the firmware it says. Its not 4.2.7. Its a 4.2.2. It literally destroyed prints all day. The only thing it did was quietly destroy prints. Id rather deal with the noise than to babysit a fire hazard

> 3 dayI was kind of worried it would be hard to install because im not a tech person but i made sure to label everything and take a bunch of pictures. Its actually pretty quiet, i wasnt expecting that big of a difference.

> 3 daySo, I purchased this for Ender 3 pro in order to easily connect CR touch, but it unfortunately did not work out of the box. My first impression was that the construction is very shoddy. Components are mounted crooked, and all of the stepper driver heat sinks are mounted crooked. The x-axis heat sink in particular is off by around 4 degrees so I seriously doubt that cooling would be optimal. At the end of the day, I could not get my stepper mothers to function with this board. Cannot manually move any of the stepper motors, and selecting “auto home” results in an error message saying to reset the unit. I will not buy official Creality parts anymore if this is what passes their QC.

> 3 dayFairly simple install. Flashed the firmware onto the board and now the fan is the loudest thing about the printer. Exactly how I wanted it.
