> 24 hourIts exactly what I needed. Its rock solid and does everything its supposed to do. People complaining about the steering wheel hitting their knees must not understand that its very adjustable. The chair is so comfortable I think I could sleep in it. Hopefully it lasts, but I dont see any reason why it wouldnt as the materials are sturdy and quality built. Five stars!

> 24 hourI started out looking at Wheel Stand Pro Super G to mount my Logitech G29, but quickly stumbled upon the OpenWheeler Gen 2. Based on the large number of positive reviews I decided it was worth the extra money to get a full racing rig. Glad I made the leap! I added the OpenWheeler Seat Lift Kit and OpenWheeler Universal Bracket so I could mount a Buttkicker mini LFE subwoofer to my setup. With these upgrades I no longer have a racing seat, I own a racing simulator! The item was packed very well and the box was no larger than it needed to be. Assembly and setup were a breeze. I suggest you get the Seat Lift Kit at time of purchase to simplify the setup process and save you the trouble from disassembling it all later. I believe the seat lift kit should be included standard since its so good, but understand the manufacturer is trying to hit a lower price point to compete with other solutions. My first recommendation for future improvement includes changing the location of the three large knobs on the base of steering column and main support. Their placement makes entry and exit a bit awkward and it seems like Im always bumping my feet into them. The rig is sturdy enough, but if they could place the large knobs on the side it would make entry and exit easier. My second recommendation would be to alter the design so I could push the steering wheel further away from me, but bring the foot pedals closer. I like to drive with my arms a bit more extended. Maybe a U shaped cut out in the foot pedal plate? Overall, Im extremely happy with the OpenWheeler setup and my buddy is impressed with it. He now loves playing Gran Turismo. Previously, he said he wasnt into racing games, but he sure is now! Very happy with my investment.

> 24 hourIve used this cockpit for a few days now and am very happy with it. Please note that the cat, clutter on the desk, steering wheel and pedals do not come with this product and are items I added after assembly. I added the chair lift kit as I am not a spring chicken anymore and its easier to get in and out of the chair with it raised a bit. Overall, assembly was easy, instructions were clear and component bags were clearly labeled, allowing for assembly with minimal confusion

> 24 hourSo I finally got this rig all put together ... wasnt too difficult however, due to poor packaging one of the tightening knobs broke. I made due with the broken knob by putting it on a part I wont have to adjust so it is effectively out of the way. However, I discovered a design flaw with the bars that are designed to hold the shifter in place .. as they only use one knob at the base to hold the arm up it rocks back and forth with relative ease. I fixed this by jamming cardboard packaging down into the base holder and re-tightening the screw. Lastly, I find the seat and the pedals are in a position like a go kart and with the logitech pedals my legs are uncomfortably parallel to the ground and my feet are flat vertical to the pedals ... making long plays uncomfortable. Outside of frame issues, I do like the seat itself, the red and black look very sharp and it has a nice racing feel to it. I think later on in life I will disassemble this, make a platform to raise the seat up so I am in a more comfortable position.

> 24 hourI bought the chair as the base for a VR cockpit for DCS and I was not disappointed. The chair allowed for easy mounting of my HOTAS and Control Stick although with a slight modification to allow the HOTAS mount to more securely be affixed to the chair. Wire management was a cakewalk as well. My only issue is the face that there is no cutout to allow my stick to sit lower but as this is primarily for racing sims that is something I couldnt avoid. Still a very comfy chair to sit in for a few hours at a time and I would totally recommend this chair for similar projects.

> 24 hourWhy buy anything else? Great seat, build quality, instructions and included hardware to mount almost any wheel/pedal setup. Lots of accessories to buy for it depending on needs. You MUST buy the seat risers unless you want that ‘racing on the floor’ feeling. The front caster wheels make moving it super easy. Lots of adjustments and good quality especially for the price. Seat is comfy enough for hours of racing.

> 24 hourIm 5 11, 240 lbs, and 60 years old. I am a Forza addict and decided I needed a wheel, for which I needed a seat. Im glad I picked this one to go with the Logitech G920. I added the lift kit (Amazon B07G67FB1W), for a more normal seating position, and it was easy enough to install. All the tools you need are provided with this seat, and another wrench with the lift kit. Theres no lack of adjustability. Its very solidly built. The seat itself is better than I expected. Its tempting to get two extra for my 2000 Frontier. If you have a favorite car seat, its also available without the seat, and it should be no problem mounting a cars seat to the frame. It should bolt right up. Well, back to driving imaginary cars and learning how to use a wheel, after taking 5 years to learn how to drive with an XBox One controller. My other car is a 2017 Freightliner Cascadia.

> 24 hourThis seat vastly exceeded my expectations. I thought it was a cheap starter seat, but in person its hard to imagine anything better. Here are some of its virtues: 1. It comes with all the tools you need to assemble it, and a great pictorial instruction book. 2. Attention to detail is evident everywhere. Look at how they put a zipper over the bolts that attach the back of the seat. A lot of thought went into this product. 3. Everything is adjustable relative to everything else. I had thought about building my own, and I am so glad I didnt. You can adjust the distance from the seat to the pedals, the height, forward back position, and angle of the wheel. You can adjust the height, the left/right position, and the forward back position of the shifter relative to the seat. You can recline the seat. You can get just the position you want. There is no way I would have achieved that with a custom built rig. 4. It has nice little touches that I didnt even think I needed, like casters that let you roll it around. I didnt originally plan to move it, but that proved useful. FYI, I am 64 and 200 lbs and I fit comfortably in this seat. Its very sturdy. Overall, I would just buy this and be done with it. It is a really well made product.

> 24 hourWas on the fence on building one vs buying one, but after seeing how well this went together and no wobbles yet I am very happy with my purchase. I wanted to give it 4 stars for these couple reasons. Even with the seat all the way back i feel like the g27 shifter is very slightly too far backwards, the pedal plate has some flex to it but the support bar is right behind it even with a hole drilled like its going to solve that issue, but it doesnt so i shimmed it(maybe I have an old style?), and the main one that you really cant get around being a single bar in the middle vs 2 bars on the outside to hold steering wheel is left foot braking is kinda awkward and relys more on your left ankle than your leg because your calf runs into the steering center bar. But with how well its packaged, the attention to detail (Velcro wire wraps, large rubberized adjustment knobs, not cheap slick plastic), how all the hardware is included and labeled clear, and had every tool included it keeps its 5 stars. Didnt need to grab one tool out of the garage to assemble.
