> 3 dayIm delighted with the OpenWheeler GEN3 Racing Wheel Stand Cockpit. Firstly it does need quite a bit of assembly. Everything is well packed and labelled, with separate bags for different stages of assembly. The instructions are well-written with good illustrations and photos. There are separate bags of parts for some specific third-party devices, such as Fanatec wheels and Thrustmaster H-pattern shifter, as well as generic bolts for attaching everything else. Everything can be put together by one person, although I found the trickiest part was attaching the seat back to the base - a second person here would be helpful, although I did manage by myself after a few minutes. Wrenches and allen keys are provided. Id swear there was a 10mm wrench but It seems to have disappeared now, haha. The resulting rig is solid and there are plenty of options for moving everything around to fit your preferences. The seat tilts and slides like a normal car seat. The wheel can be moved closer/further away, raised/lowered and change its angle. Pedals can be moved closer/further, tilted either +/- 5 degrees from the default angle, and shifted left or right which is useful if youre braking with the left or right foot. Most of those adjustments are with knobs, but altering the pedal configuration requires unbolting the pedal support and reassembling it, so I recommend trying it out with only hand-tightened bolts so you can see where you want everything, then move it to your liking before tightening everything down finally. The optional shifter support can be installed at either side, and can move left/right and up/down, but not forward/back. I dont have a shifter installed yet so did not attach the support, but its easy to add it. I bought the 5 inch riser package and installed that while building the rig. I like the final height although I didnt try it at its default low level so I cant comment on how that would feel. Im 61 and my eyes are 42 inches above the floor when seated which means that a standard 31 table puts the centerline of the display at eye level for me. Without the risers I would either be looking up at the display, or trying to find a lower table to support it. The rig is solid and feels well-constructed. Nothing moves around, flexes or creaks. Will it take seconds off your lap times in Assetto Corsa? Cant guarantee it, but youll be comfortable finding out.

> 3 dayI have two of these. The first is setup as a flight sim cockpit. I liked it so much that when I was ready to build a driving simulator, I didn’t even look at anything else. Excellent design and good clear instructions, with all the hardware clearly labeled in individual bags for each application. I do HIGHLY recommend the seat riser and frame extender accessories for any configuration of this seat.

> 3 dayVery sturdy! Very well made.....and heavy! Bought additional add-ons as well they are the same. Now if only they would make an add-on with two powerful fans on each side to make my VR racing even more immersive. What I liked even better is how organized everything was and to my surprise included all tools necessary for assembly.

Greater than one weekExcellent build quality and design. Extremely easy to assemble. Very happy with the chair. I bought this for use with my x52 hotas in VR with games like DCS and Elite Dangerous, but it didnt have compatible mounting plates in the original packaging (its pre-packaged for car racing setups). Contacted the seller and within minutes they responded letting me know they would send me their beta hotas mounts for no charge. Just installed them last night and it works perfectly. Best customer service Ive ever experienced. Highly recommend.

> 3 dayVery high quality product, and a great introduction to the racing simulation market for the price. I was immediately impressed with the heft and quality of the components when I received them, especially the seat, which is very comfortable and realistic. Setup was a snap, especially since all the required tools are included in the package, which is a great convenience. My unit ended up having a minor welding defect that mean the main post that slides into the chair would stay in place. When I requested a return for that reason, the seller responded immediately and not only gave me a full credit for the item, but immediately acknowledge the problem and shipped out replacement parts. I was extremely impressed with such an amazing level of customer service. The seller clearly cares about its products and will stand behind them to make sure its customers have an optimal experience. Now if youll excuse me, I have some more racing to do. :)

Greater than one weekNow that I have had many hours behind the wheel with this setup, I lament not having invested in this a long time ago. The experience of driving is dramatically improved with this seat and the Logitech wheel. If you are a driving enthusiast, I highly recommend it. The construction was not difficult but I can say that the first few steps would have been easier with a helper. Total setup time was about 30 casual minutes. I have been using this setup with Gran Turismo Sport.

> 3 dayFirst thing I noticed when starting the assembly was the fact they sent full sized wrenches with it. Laying out the pieces one by one I inspected the weld and was very impressed with the thickness of the metal. The assembly was smooth and the instructions was clear. It came with multiple mounting bolts for not only the pedals but the shifter as well.I was very happy everything I needed to get to playing my games was in the box. After it was complete, it was time for a stress test. I launched a game and drove it like I stole it.I go into 3rd hard, very hard. The chair arm for the shifter never budged, stayed firm. Jamming the gas/brake/clutch, and I mean standing on the gas, the plate that holds the pedals never flexed or moved. I am a 240 lb guy, I put some pounds per sq inch down when I am playing. What would I change? The wings on the chair that come from the base on the sides. I wish they was more firmly connected to the center piece or designed to hold itself in a vertical position. An easier way to tuck away and hide wires without taking away the integrity of the metal. Needs an option when buying to raise it, I need it a foot or two taller. I am an Injured Veteran so getting down and up in this chair is a chore. Would I purchase this product again? Yes. I have already recommended it to multiple people.

> 3 dayI’m having a hard time deciding 4 or 5 stars here but overall it’s well made. Clear instructions. Sturdy. Painted well. Looks good. Color install pictures and comes WITH HARDWARE. I had 2 small complaints . One now. The plate that mounts the wheel came loose from factory due to all 4 torx (star) bolts being loose causing my wheel to bounce around . Over night it got worse . I purchased the part I needed to tighten it and the problem went away. Little dismayed at having to do that. But no big deal. The seat bolsters are going to fall out. No way around that. I see them flattening already. That’s my only two small complaints. Now the adjustability is great, the sturdiness is great, the cost while not the cheapest is not the most expensive I’m sure there are many cheaper but this is probably the best chair at this price point . I had it put together and playing in under an hour . I recommend this over the cheaper alternatives based on strong reviews here and really bad ones for the cheaper ones. Enjoy hope this helps

> 3 dayNotable slop in adjustable components requiring significant torque to fix well. Seat risers dont align as well as could. Pre-Covid relative todays price, this should be at least $100 less. But supply and demand economics prevail. Im happy with my purchase. One sad thing, I have a 43 curved monitor which is a tad heavy requiring a strong mount. The literature that comes with the monitor shows a floor mount Id love to buy. but cant find the thing anywhere. Guess Ill build my own.
