Very well made, sturdy and comfortable. Foot peddles and steering wheel are adjustable to fit most bodies. I am 5 6 and its almost like its built for me but expands to much great lengths. Instructions to put together are not high quality, but for the most part you can figure it out. High quality tools are included to assist. The large knobs are loose in the box, so look for them. (all other parts are bagged and labeled). The seat looks professional and very cool and makes all the difference in making you feel like you in a real car. Highly recommended, especially for this price!

I purchased this simulator after a very extensive amount of time researching and reading about different setups. I spent 3 months looking around for the best setup for my budget and I decided on this cockpit. I must say after emailing ahead and speaking with customer service about a few different things including the length and size for my daughter who is 6 years old they informed me that they made a stubby plate mount for the steering so she could reach it better as well as an extra cushion pillow. I chose the red seat and purchased a set of the 4 point harness belts at the same time. During this purchase they threw in the stubby adapter and pillow cushion free of charge with free shipping. Getting into the quality of this rig and setup.. absolutely amazing quality. If your questioning the stability and design it’s very sturdy and setup perfect for some gear grabbing and racing. The frame itself is heavy duty and the seat is very nice! It’s a real seat that fully tilts back and forth as well as moves forward and back on a rail. The whole cockpit is setup to be fully adjustable to your heights and needs. I’ve spent Atleast 6 hours straight in the seat of playtime before writing this review and must say the seat is very comfortable!! I am very glad I made this decision on this purchase. I don’t usually write reviews but this one is a must! If your looking for a nice simulator+seat and don’t want to break the bank then this is the one. It’s easy to move and not to heavy, also has a set of wheels on the front bottom under the pedal mount so you can maneuver it around much easier. Speaking of pedal mount. Very sturdy and does not move or bend when pushing on the pedals. I had this thing put together in about 20 mins. The instructions are very thorough and easy to follow and the seat comes with the lower rail already mounted on so it makes it quick and easy. Also the setup comes with all the tools and mounting bolts needed to put the whole thing together as well as all the M6 bolts to mount your wheel, pedals and shifter. Also comes with extras for whichever wheel, pedal, shifter you decide to go with. Even comes with some nice wrenches to go with it. The 4 point harness setup I purchased with this went together quick and easy, instructions for these were also very easy to follow and the quality is great! I mounted a G920 Logitech wheel and pedals with the shifter all at once. Everything went together very smooth and lined up perfectly. There are pre drilled holes for every setup you could want. I’m very happy with my purchase and if your considering getting into a racing sim for this price you cannot go wrong!! Amazing quality and amazing customer service with immediate response with any questions!!

Purchased on my wifes account but I wanted to review this myself: Ive wanted a home cockpit solution for a long time. Some way to get my peripherals off of my desk and, as a bonus, not wrench my steering wheel or shift knob from its clamp. To not have to hold my flight joystick in my lap and my throttle quadrant sitting on a homemade table. The OpenWheeler fits the bill and then some! I got the basic seat as well as the Civil Aviation configuration and the HOTAS configuration. Also added in the seat risers and the mount for my Buttkicker transducer. Everything came well and safely packaged and labeled at a level I dont think Ive experienced before. The bags had each screw set for each possible setup clearly labeled and seperated from the other parts. Bags inside bags had labels. The labels all correspond with a brightly colored, well written instruction manual. There are tools for each part requiring assembly. Real tools that could go in my toolbox. As a bonus, some of the extra configurations required different tools. They were included too. There were tools to deal with 3rd party peripherals! You can literally lock yourself in an isolated room with your peripherals, open the box or boxes and have EVERYTHING you need to assemble anything you purchased without ever leaving that room. Assembly of all of that, by myself, took me about two hours but I was taking my time at it. The only fly in my ointment was trying to attach the seat back to the seat bottom. The holes just didnt want to line up. I eventually put the assembly on its side and was finally able to get everything where it was supposed to be. I think that was more a symptom of trying to do it by myself than any fault with the product, especially considering it hasnt had a single issue at that attachment point since I put it together. I think my only other gripe was with the instructions for assembling the HOTAS. It took me a little bit to realize that I had to remove a base plate from my Warthog throttle quadrant (that I didnt realize was there because I just thought that was the bottom of the throttle) For the assembly itself, the seat is very comfortable and adjustable. Just having the forward/back adjustment alone is awesome. Between the frame adjustments, seat adjustments... Heck, I can even recline the seat back like I do in my car. Ive used this for both racing and flying. Its pretty easy to change out the peripherals as the whole thing is modular. Once you tighten it down, its solid as a rock. Racing with a FFB steering wheel, I can crank on the wheel, it can jump and buck all it likes... Solid as a rock. It is a game changer compared to having those things clamped to my desk. For flying, no Force Feedback there but... I can adjust every component to just the right height, just the right distance and, again, solid as a rock. It makes a big difference. The seller is extremely interested in the product and ensuring that the customer is getting outstanding customer support. I reached out to ask about the center mount for the joystick and mentioned that I was looking for another base plate for my joystick so I could switch between HOTAS and center mount easily and not have to disassemble the attachment plates every time. When the seller noticed I had ordered the center mount but had not replied to his answer to my questions, he took it upon himself to include in my order extra base plates as well as some knobs and very detailed instructions on how I could accomplish what I was trying to do. Upon hearing that one of my mounting plates appeared to be tilting and I wasnt sure why, he provided detailed information on what might be wrong, how to fix it and, if I cant fix it, stated he would replace it. The customer service is way above par. As a matter of fact, I cant say if Ive ever dealt with a merchant that went that far out of their way to ensure that the customer is happy with their purchase. As I said in the title, I think this is worth the purchase. Not only for a solidly made product that does exactly everything that is advertised and does it very well, but because the customer service itself, the interest of the seller in the customer and the product is, bar none, the best Ive ever seen. If youre on the fence, hop off of it. This is an excellent purchase you wont regret.

The seat is very comfortable, the assembly instructions are second to none. The pedal plate is supported by casters, so you can easily roll the whole thing around when not in use by lifting at the seat back. The plate that the wheel gets mounted pivots on a single bolt, so you have to really tighten it to prevent the wheel from drooping. The steering wheel plate is supported by a few square tubes that slide into each other and secured with hand knobs. There is some play in this fitment so when you tighten the knobs down the plate is slightly skewed, not centered with respect to the seat. Its not a problem when driving, but looks a bit odd. Overal, recommended. Great value for the money.

Nice seat and frame! Seat is comfortable and I am 6’4” (190lbs). The assembly instructions are ok and included tools/adapters are fantastic. Very happy and racing!

This seat vastly exceeded my expectations. I thought it was a cheap starter seat, but in person its hard to imagine anything better. Here are some of its virtues: 1. It comes with all the tools you need to assemble it, and a great pictorial instruction book. 2. Attention to detail is evident everywhere. Look at how they put a zipper over the bolts that attach the back of the seat. A lot of thought went into this product. 3. Everything is adjustable relative to everything else. I had thought about building my own, and I am so glad I didnt. You can adjust the distance from the seat to the pedals, the height, forward back position, and angle of the wheel. You can adjust the height, the left/right position, and the forward back position of the shifter relative to the seat. You can recline the seat. You can get just the position you want. There is no way I would have achieved that with a custom built rig. 4. It has nice little touches that I didnt even think I needed, like casters that let you roll it around. I didnt originally plan to move it, but that proved useful. FYI, I am 64 and 200 lbs and I fit comfortably in this seat. Its very sturdy. Overall, I would just buy this and be done with it. It is a really well made product.

Comfortable. Easy to put together. Seller, Home Racer LLC, was very friendly. My chair did not come with the shifter mount arm, the seller immediately sent out a “replacement” part including the necessary hardware. 10/10 will buy from them again. The chair itself is comfortable and for the price is a great entry level rig with options to upgrade many parts as you grow into the sport. I have already bought and am now ready to install a Logitech shifter to go with my Logitech G923.

This chair in conjunction with the Logitech G920 wheel and pedals (and shifter) have turned a couple of fun games like Forza 6 and Project Cars into a serious addiction! Ive seriously never had more fun with video games in my entire life than I have racing around in this chair. This rig is infinitely adjustable and very stable, which some other racing seat designs appear to be lacking. I have no idea what the reviewer who said the wheel cant be raised or lowered means. Im a pretty tall dude, so in most cars (especially with manual transmissions), compromises to proper seating position have to be made, but not so with the Openwheeler cockpit. Im able to get the wheel exactly where it needs to be, and with plenty of travel room left over. The two times I have contacted customer service in regards to this chair, the responses I received were above and beyond anything I ever expected. I have seldom been as impressed with a company as I am with Home Racer. Im given the impression these people really care about the product theyre selling. Speaking of which - I have to get back. These races arent going to win themselves!

I had previously reviewed the generation 1 version of this cockpit but have decided the newer generation 2 is worthy of a new review, some issues I had have been mostly addressed. Lets start off by saying that this cockpit is probably the most affordable complete cockpit that possibly exists, within this price range the pickings are slim. This cockpit is very sturdy and well built. Comes with about every piece of hardware you could ever need, including hardware to hard mount pedals and shifters. Has clear directions for putting everything together. I also got the riser kit mod (sold separately) to bump up the seat height, the default height is pretty flush with the ground. Pros - -Rock solid frame. Sturdy. Everything fits together flawlessly. -Gen2 adds support for new types of mods and accessories, such as the riser mod. -Gen2 shifter mount attaches to underside corner of seat (any corner) -Compact, relatively light weight, pedal base has wheels to help with rolling out of the way if needed. -Gen2 shift mount allows for hard mounting, and it is also just large enough to hard mount one Thrustmaster shifter along with tension mounting another next to it (useful if youre using another one in analog mode for a handbrake). Cons- -Not sure I have found a way to mount the new proper Thrustmaster handbrake -Gen2 still does have a center steering wheel bar, gets in the way in certain situations. If/when they have an option that doesnt feature a center bar I hope it doesnt interfere with my monitor stand. -Gen2 newly designed steering wheel bar has a knob on the left side of it that is actually incredibly annoying, was constantly pressed up against my leg. However, after removing this knob I found the column just as stable with using only the back facing knob, so thats a pro to this con. Overall, nice update, great cockpit. Could be nice if at somepoint theres a cup holder add on, and a computer keyboard tray. Also a way to mount Thrustmaster / Fanatec handbrakes... Fanatec handbrake can mount to the Fanatec shifter which can be hard mounted to this shifter mount however if using it stand alone or with a different shifter or youre using the Thrustmaster handbrake, you need a different solution.

Excellent cockpit for sim racing! Absolutely strong enough to run a lower/mid level Fanatec set up. I’m using the CSL Elite wheel, with shifter and handbrake w/ CS V3 pedals. Super rigid set up. Little to no sway. You don’t need to spend $1k+ on a cockpit. Very pleased. Assembly was cake. Would love to see an additional shifter mount included and maybe a couple of extra twist locks. One did arrive broken.
