> 3 dayNow that I have had many hours behind the wheel with this setup, I lament not having invested in this a long time ago. The experience of driving is dramatically improved with this seat and the Logitech wheel. If you are a driving enthusiast, I highly recommend it. The construction was not difficult but I can say that the first few steps would have been easier with a helper. Total setup time was about 30 casual minutes. I have been using this setup with Gran Turismo Sport.

> 3 dayThis rig is high quality and the seller, Homeracer, provides great service. I originally had a next level rig ordered but canceled due to wanting a racing and flight rig and not just one dedicated rig. Openwheeler cockpit has multiple configurations that allow me to easily switch out components. Initial setup provided instructions on how to setup multiple racing configurations and this rig is sturdy. I ordered the flight configuration pack 5 for my flight equipment and it was easy to convert the racing rig to a flight rig. The thing I love most is that once you initially mount the sim equipment, you never have to unmount it to swap from racing to flight configurations. All you have to do is replace a few poles with your gear already mounted and can be playing in less than a few minutes.

Greater than one weekEverything fit as it should no problems setting it up a lot of adjustability paired perfectly with my thrust master tx wheel and pedals and tha8 shifter, although I thought the kit came with the seats risers but it turns out all the extra add ons are ordered separately which doesn’t tell you till you unbox it and read the manual.

> 3 dayI purchased this sim pit around 4 months ago for flight sim and have been extremely happy with my purchase. It was easy to assemble and the materials all feel high quality. The flexibility of the pit is really nice, and I was able to get everything adjusted to fit me comfortably. It would be nice to have a more flight sim focused seat with a cutout for the stick and without the wings on the back, but thats really the only criticism I could come up with and it really doesnt get in my way the majority of the time. By far the best part of this purchase, however, has been the excellent customer support from Team HomeRacer post purchase. When I switched some of the hardware in my rig and needed a different mounting option, they were able to work with me and create a listing just for me that had the parts I needed without me having to buy extra parts I didnt need. Their responses have been timely and professional, and every time I interact with them it makes my day. Ive seriously never had better customer service. I didnt even think this level of customer service existed in 2022. Cant recommend them enough, you wont regret your purchase.

> 3 dayThis a very sturdy entry level race platform. It was easy to assemble and came with all tools and hardware. Its very adjustable and also easy to move around if you need too. I used it with a VR headset most of the time, but the included back rollers make it easy to move in front of my TV for Xbox play. I removed one star from the review because I think it should have come with lift kit. I really did not find it easy to get in and out of being right on the ground with a center mount wheel. Also, I think longer sessions were not good for my admittedly older back. The lift kit corrected both issues. It also gives the chair a natural tilt which makes it really comfortable. I do recommend this seat as a very good entry into the simulation racing. I use it with a logitech 920 wheel and pedals and its rock solid. I feel like an upgrade to a belt drive or lower end direct drive would be fine with this seat as well. I think this will serve me well for years.

> 3 dayThis is my 2nd seat from Open Wheeler. I had the GEN1 and there is a reason I came back for the GEN3. Sturdy, reliable with customization features that are expanding to fit specific needs tailored to your driving experience.

22-11-2024Purchased this for my son for Christmas, it is really comfortable and the quality of this is very good. it has weight to it, very sturdy, and is just like sitting in a racing seat. The assembly of it was simple and it fits everything we got for his gaming system. Very pleased with this purchase.

> 3 dayPretty sweet deal, the assembly was fairly simple, construction is pretty sturdy for the average racer, if you have a powerful force feedback wheel consider a sturdier design of cockpit, my steering wheel moves a bit more than I’d like during aggressive steering. I’ve tightened everything and it still seems to flex a little bit, noticeable enough to where i would explore other options. All in all, this cockpit was a solid purchase, materials are of high quality, highly adjustable setup, I’ve owned this for about a week with a tx wheel and pedal set + th8a shifter and I’m still dialing everything in for maximum comfort

> 3 dayI searched around for months, reading reviews and messages boards looking for a inexpensive way to get into a racing/flying rig. As luck would have it I visited a friend who had the Openwheeler V1 and he let me take it for a spin. My decision was made after I saw the price. I purchased the V2 and was blown away by the quality of everything, from the manual to the fabrication. It even comes with a tool bag with every tool you need for assembly. Best of all, it’s modular so I was able to upgrade over time. I honestly cannot thing of anything negative about it. I do recommend a lumbar pillow if you plan on spending hours in the seat. One thing to note, they sell several config upgrades. If you have very specific hardware you plan on running, give them a call and they will make sure you get the right pieces/brackets/hardware. Their customer service is the best I’ve ever worked with.

> 3 dayAll in all, this is a great sim rig at a reasonable price. The seat is very comfortable but only with the additional purchase of the seat riser kit. I purchased both but tried it first without but the lower seat position is just uncomfortable, largely due to it being at the wrong angle for being low. If you look at F1 style cockpits, the base of the seat is angled upward to give support to the legs but that doesnt happen in the lower position. However, if you install the seat riser kit, everything is resolved and becomes comfortable. The only issue I have with this stand is how flexible everything is. I have a Load Cell brake pedal which takes more force to push on. You can see and feel the single beam connecting the seat base to the pedals flex a lot, with every push of the brake. It doesnt make the rig unusable by any means, its just not as rigid as it could be. The other thing is the steering wheel mount flexes a lot too since it is singularly supported down to the single beam below. That said, it is still completely usable but would be nice if it was stiffer. I am contemplating adding steel beams to the base to stiffen up the single beam construction. Im also considering making my own steering wheel mount that would get rid of the post between the legs and have two supports on either side. The single post does get in the way of where Id prefer to have my brake pedal mounted. My criticisms aside, this is still a nice sim rig.
