> 24 hourI decided to blow the dust of my Wii and play it again. It turned on but the disc drive wouldnt work and made a clicking noise when a disc was inserted. I ordered this drive and watched a YouTube tutorial to help guide me through the process of changing it out. The drive arrived in perfect condition and even included a tri-wing screwdriver, which was a great help! It took me about 20 minutes to take out the original drive and insert this one. I tested the drive before putting everything back to together and it worked marvelously! I then put the Wii cover back on and spent the next few hours enjoying games I had forgotten about. Im so glad I bought this!!!!

> 24 hourNot as quiet as the original drive but not overly loud. Good value. Definitely need to order specialty triwing screw driver to install.

> 24 hourPackage arrived in a timely manner. Easy installation. Be very aware of the delicate pins and that they exactly aligned when connecting. The replacement works well and we are able to play the WII again.

> 24 hourWe have the tools & knowledge needed. Requires specialty Y & Phillips screwdrivers and some knowledge of this type of work. Put in and the Wii works as good as it did when new. Time will tell on how long the drive lasts. Some cover hinges will probably break and it easy to strip screws in the plastic case of the Wii - not cause by the part but by case design.

> 24 hourProduct was exactly as described. Installed in my Wi and was up and running in about 30 minutes. The products regular shipping time was really long (I think 28 days), but came in about 10 days. You will definitely need the custom screwdriver (tri-wing, thank you Nintendo for inventing a new screw head which isnt needed unless you want to sell new screwdrivers). Youll also need a very small Philips and a small standard screwdriver. There are a number of videos on youtube which show you exactly how to do the replacement. I used one called zombiesomething which was very good. I just went step by step and paused the video to take out the next set of screws. There are a lot of them so highly suggest keeping them in order as you take them out so you can easily put them back. I used a big jar lid so they wouldnt go rolling off and placed them around the inside of the rim. If youre like me and your eyes are not what they used to be, watch the screw driver used in the video (they are different colors) to see if the screw is a tri-wing or Philips (or make sure you have glasses or a magnifying glass as the screws are small). Unfortunately, the video doesnt go through putting the screws back so I had to replay segments to make sure I was doing it properly. If you can operate a screw driver, you can do this so no need to be hesitant. 30 minutes later, my Wi was up and running again and the kids were back playing rock band. Why did I fix this?
