Pelican 1300 Camera Case
-
Jacqui Camacho
Greater than one weekI have a bigger Pelican case that fits several lenses and my flashes, but decided I needed a smaller one that would take 1 body, 2 lenses and a flash. This came in handy on my recent trip to Nicaragua where my family enjoyed surfing. The case protected my camera from the elements which was the salt spray, sand and lots of dust.....where we stayed there was an insane amount of dust as the roads arent paved. I was able to toss the case into the back of our truck and not worry about my camera being damaged.

> 3 daygreat quality. looks and feels durable. im yet to test it in actioin though. nice color. i use this for my canon 30d with 50mm lens attached with room for portable battery charger, a mini 3 tripod, a couple of spare batteries and an extra CF card. still havent taken it out yet tho I only wish I bought one of these for my cameras back in 2006 when I started frequenting beach trips. There were a few occassions when I didnt bring my camera fearing the elements would mess up the electronics especially in salt water so I didnt get a chance to document some spectacular places we saw.

> 3 dayThis was purchased as a gift a few days before Christmas. I received it Christmas Eve as promised! The box is everything it was described as being and will protect my camera! Also have plenty of room and foam to add other items! I love this box!

> 3 dayI bought this to keep my Nikon D3100 safe while kayaking. Its just big enough to fit the camera with the 55-200mm lens, the 18-55mm lens, and the battery charger. Its tight, but its all in there and well protected. I set up the Pick N Pluck foam to hold the camera with the either lens and then have the other lens in vertically. Its really sturdy and Im sure will protect my camera while out in the elements. I really like that they sell the Pick N Pluck foam by itself so you can use the same box for different model cameras. Great product and well worth the money.

> 3 dayThis is my first hard case I’ve purchased for my new handgun. Originally I just wanted something that would protect it from moisture and keep it well secured. After several weeks of internal debate, measuring and planning I decided I wanted something a little nicer than a Plano case that that had a little more function than just fitting the gun. I couldn’t be happier with my decision. I’m definitely not an expert in this area so I had some concerns. The one I feared the most was the foam inserts. The pre diced foam was incredibly easy to use. I was able to just tear them out with my fingers and the cubes I didn’t want to remove stayed in place. The case quality is great. It’s sturdy, closes tightly and latches won’t come undone without intentional effort. I’d definitely recommend this case!

> 3 dayLove it. Needed durable waterproof storage for my CPAP on a recent 4 day canoe trip. This was excellent. It worked awesome and gave me the peace of mind to take the machine on the trip.

> 3 dayFits my Canon Powershot G16 and the Canon WP-DC52 Waterproof underwater housing. I was thinking about getting the Pelican 1400 at first but when looking at the height, I realized it might be too short for the housing (and the lower and upper foam). It would have been. I am glad I got the 1300 with the increased height. The housing and camera just fit in there with a little room for maybe a small accessory. I hope it will easily fit in my backpack. ...I was left wondering if this is overkill just to transport my camera and case on scuba trips but I didnt see a lot of other options, nor will I worry about them being protected, as this case is sturdy.
