Pelican 1300 Camera Case

Super sturdy feeling case. Fits the HD 800S with some good preplanning. Super thorough padding and I feel like I could throw this from the roof without any trouble. Its dank.

This is an excellent watertight case. Before use, I tested it in water overnight and there were no leaks. I was able to customize the foam interior to hold a DSLR with a midrange kit zoom as well as a couple of cases for spare memory cards. I would definitely buy a Pelican again.

This 1300 Pelican case is very rugged and well-built. It comes with thick padding that greatly reduces the inside space - but will protect anything inside from shock/drop/moisture. I found I only needed the thin bottom and top pads to store my camera. With the lid closed, its very secure. My only dislike is the latches. They are VERY hard to open/close. A person with weak hands would possibly not be able to seal and unseal the latch. Hopefully with use, it will be easier to latch. I did not test its water-proof claim, but based on how tight the lid locks down on the rubber seal, it seems impossible to leak through to the inside. Clearly, the value of this case is in its strength. I purchased two of these, and I find that they stack together nicely due to the rib design. I deducted one star for the tight latching.
