I use it all day long to carry my stuff around and it doesnt matter what climatic condition is at the moment because its waterproof, or if its sliding around in the truck and occasionally banging itself against things because its sturdy AF on the outside and padded inside. These are pretty versatile. It comes with the pull-out foam squares so you can customize it to fit what you want. In my case I set it up to hold reloaded Weatherby 30-378 ammo in longer than SAAMI spec. There are no commercial ammo cases for such a thing so this worked great. Id recommend it for other magnum calibers too such as 338 Lapua, 378 Weatherby Magnum, 416, 460, 458 Winchester. You would need to check cartridge length before validating it will work for 50 BMG.

This is my 4th Pelican case. I will not buy another brand. These thing are indestructible, water tight, and lockable. I write my name and address on the outside with a white Sharpie and it stays readable for years. If you are a SCUBA diver this is the perfect size for a save-a-dive kit.

I recently got some new calibration gear at work, dropped it twice the first day I lugged it into the field and decided I needed a solution. Initially the price point of putting my gauges in flat was starting to scare me when a friend suggest I stand them up in a more square case. Enter the 1300! I put a pair of gauges, and some digital instruments into this case without any problems.
