20-11-2024Perfect size for most gamers needs. When Sony announced a propriatary storage system for the Vita I was disappointed, and even more so when I saw the initial limitation was 32GB. Most gamers would quickly run through the storage on their 8GB cards, and with the majority of games being download-accessable only you would quickly run through the rest of the storage capacity up to that 32GB limit. The 64GB is about the most anyone would need for a long trip, or for the several games and associated save data. Its small, so it wont take up much space wherever you store it. Its good quality and isnt much more expensive than the 32GB, so if youre on the fence about which size to get Id advise shelling out a few more bucks for twice the capacity.

> 3 dayIf you have a Vita and are considering buying games digitally, then you might as well pick this up instead of the 32 GB option. If youre like me and buy my games physical, then theres no justification on paying this much for a proprietary memory card. The only reason I bought this card is because I had some money left over from my birthday, and wanted to buy Project Diva F. As much as I dont like saying it, this card is probably the best value youre going to get. As of now, the 32 GB card is $79.99 (Regular price: $99.99) and has half the capacity of the 64 GB. If this costed $159.99 then it would be the same thing, but its not; it goes for around $105-$115~. If you only buy your games from Gamestop and other retail stores (AKA physical), then a 4 or 8 GB card is completely fine for storing saves and a few applications. If you buy games from PSN frequently youre going to need alot more than 8 GB, especially when some games are as big as 3.5 GB (Sly Cooper). Just note that only 59 GB is used as opposed to the 64 GB it claims to be, probably because people use 1000 not 1024 when measuring memory. Do I recommend this memory card? If you dont buy games from PSN: hell no. If you do buy ALL of your games digitally: yes. It saves you more money if you buy this one over the 32 GB one. I knocked off one star for having to import it, and for being a victim of paying way too much for a memory card. Overall however with this much memory, you dont have to worry about buying these infernal memory cards for a while.

23-11-2024If you own a PS Vita, you know those 4, 8 and 16GB memory cards most retail stores have are good for just about nothing, and very expensive to boot. How is a 16GB memory card over $50 a fair price when I can get a 64GB micro SD card for under that most places? The reality is, there is no third party making these memory cards, so our (evil) friends at Sony are the only game in town, and can charge whatever the hell they think well put up with. Since retail price on that is a joke, the only way to go, in my opinion, is to find someone online who sells these 64GB cards that are for some reason only available in Japan, because f*** the USA, I guess. Youll be paying around $100, give or take, no matter where you go, so I recommend doing what I did, and find a seller here on Amazon that sells these on this side of the world, and also has prime shipping available so you can wait two days for it to arrive, instead of two weeks. Its expensive, no doubt, but far less expensive than carrying around a pocket full of inferior memory cards.

> 3 dayA little pricey, but this is the best option for your PS Vita, especially if youre looking to do a lot of digital downloads from the PSN store. It will be able to store most of your gaming and media needs with some room to spare. Previously I had purchased an 8 gb card when I bought the Vita, but that quickly filled up, so I was looking for something with a little bit more memory and this was the biggest option they had. I transported all of my files and savegames from my other memory card via Sonys own memory transfer program that works on both Mac and PC, and now I dont have to worry about using up all my space. Like I said, the price is a little on the high side for a memory card, and Sony sucks you in with their specific Vita memory cards, but if you use your Vita a lot, this one is a no-brainer.

> 3 dayI highly recommend this size memory card for any PS Plus subscribers. I just got my PS Vita Slim a couple of days ago and already have about 10 free games installed in the Vita and expect to download many more as they become available for free or heavily discounted. I agree, its a little over priced, however it works flawlesly and I dont know if any standard type memory card would be able to perfrom at the level needed for the Vita. Remember you are running full games from these cards, and these graphically intensive games like Borderlands 2, Uncharted, etc. require good performing cards to run perfect. So, although the price is an issue this size of memory card is the best bang for the buck at about $1.8 per GB... not too bad. And finally for those frequent questions (including some I had) here are a few responses: It is actually 59GB and not 64GB (this is the way it is for any other memory cards out there, including hard drives, etc.) It will work with any US Vita models including the Slim (PCH2000)

> 3 dayEven though it delivers closer to 58 GB of space, its more than enough space for any games youll want to download and play, or just check out as a part of PSN+s free monthly game program. The load and access times are good and fast, and the card itself is good and durable (though really once it goes into your Memory Slot, it shouldnt ever really be coming back out again). With a lot of the larger PS Vita games barely reaching 4 GB and the majority of games being closer to 700MB - 1.8 GB, I cant reiterate enough that once you pick up this Memory Card, worrying about running out of space will be a thing of the past. Definitely recommend picking one up, especially with the upcoming influx of solid titles for the console.

> 3 dayWell, Ill guess Ill write my review for the 64 gigabyte memory card. Albeit over priced this is a must have for a Vita owners. First off you get 59GB not 64GB but thats just how it works. If youre worried because its imported it does work on American Vita models. Just to give you an idea of how much space you truly get I currently have: 1 PSone game, 4 Minis, 9 PSP games, 23 Downloaded games, plus large size patches for multiple games and I still have 35GB free. The only real downside is the price $100 is too much but, when you look at it the 32 Gigabyte is 70 bucks for $30 more youre doubling the space that and considering the 32 used to cost $100 its a nice deal.

> 3 dayPositive: As expected Negative: Delayed in shipment #Morememorylessproblems If youre like me, and you own the wonderful and vastly underrated PS Vita handheld console, you likely have downloaded lots of games (especially if you are a PS+ member). You then have likely have run into the issue of the standard memory card providing not nearly enough memory for all your games. Enter this baby. To my knowledge it is currently the largest memory card available for the Vita on the market, and while the price is a bit hefty, a lot of that is due to the memory cards proprietary nature. The TL;DR version: Sony made special cards just for the Vita in order to jack up the price. Well, since youre gonna be dropping some dough anyway, you might as well go for the highest end one which will also give you the greatest memory/dollar ratio. Simple economics, brother. My only complaint is it got delayed in shipping, so I didnt get it as quick as I wanted. Other than that, its working out great.

Greater than one weekI feel that I should write a review on this due to the other review posted that was negative. 1st off the card works great, the card doesnt offer a full 64gb of memory but it does give 59gb. I ordered this from japan and it arrived shortly and works great on the American vita models, it has all of the space I need and more. In reference to the other person who feels that the card costs as much as the system, someone probably ordered a few and is raising the price by a large margin. These cards will only cost about $100 when they are released in the USA, the one card available through amazon prime is setting prices that are unreasonable, $175 is far too much however I was able to get one for $125 through Hananoiro Shop. If you need the space then I would say to get this card, if anyone has any questions please feel free to ask. P.S. Ive noticed that a lot of people have been giving this product negative reviews, I wanted to just tell people that these guys arent upset because the product is faulty or defective but they gave it poor reviews because they are unhappy with the price. Update 3-18-2014 Ive already filled up my card and ill be buying a second one, I still recommend this product greatly and I wanted to inform people that certain games will take up a lot of space like the release of Final Fantasy X for the PS Vita which takes up a whopping 6.6GB, I do agree its overpriced but I need another one and Im just grateful that they make a card this big since the original PSP maxed out at 32GB, hopefully in the future they release an even bigger card around 128GB but im fairly certain for this format that they wont and if they did it would be over $200 easy Update 7-13-2014 The vita can play certain PS1 games such as MGS1, to transfer them youll have to buy them on your ps3 and manually sync them with a USB cable

> 3 dayOne of the biggest downfalls of Sony and their many mobile devices is that they often try to rely upon their own proprietary media formats. This has almost ALWAYS failed for them and the PlayStation Vita memory card is no exception. Instead of using the widely accepted SD format, Sony created this card for the system. Its very difficult to find these cards at a reasonable price, even for a VERY small amount of memory (microSD cards can be had for very cheap with large amounts of memory). And the fact that the Vita is practically useless without one is beyond frustrating. We can hope that eventually Sony will learn that forcing their own media down the throats of consumers and will use standard formats, but until then youll be shelling out $80 for a 64GB card like this.
