> 24 hourThis game improves on a bunch of flaws in earlier games, but I want to mention a couple of things that kept me from making a 5 star rating. The main story is kind of bleh... The main villains in the game that you encounter, Team Flair, are about as one-demensional as a cardboard cutout in a supermarket. They are basically team rocket with a change of clothing. The cookie cutter enemies in the game have always bothered me in pokemon games, and this one is no different. Stop being lazy nintendo! Secondly, while it is amazing you can easily trade with other players online, you cant say anything to them unless they are on your friends list. So basically if you start a trade with another player, neither person can understand what the other wants. Why cant we just type in what we are looking for?? Third, but not at all least. It is easy to scam people when trading pokemon online because you for some reason cannot view detailed stats about the pokemon you are trading for. Want an adamant ditto? Well just hope the other player is honest, because there is no guarantee that is what you will get. Fourth. Why no item deposit box? I want to store the items I dont use, and I dont want to put them on pokemon in the pc. This is a basic useful feature and I still have no idea why they took it out.

> 24 hourWhat I liked: -Nice graphics -Small improvements that make the game easy and more play friendly (for example you can not see if a TM can be learned by a Pokemon in your team without having to select use.) -return of berries and improved berry system -It took me 70 hours to finish the game. (Long gameplay) -Nice new little features such as O-powers that allow you to refill your local friends pokemons HP for example -All Pokemon benefit from the expshare -Most of the new Pokemons look GREAT (except Doublade and Klefki) WHAT I DISLIKED: -very bad sound track compared to the previous games -VERY BAD 3D... Worst I have seen... Shin megami tensei 4, Kid Icarus and Fire Emblem had good 3d Graphics but Pokemon X and Y has very bad 3d effects. When 3d is tuned up all the way you still hardly notice it... And the framrate drops A LOT!. Only battle are in 3d but the double battles or horde battles are viewable in 2d only -Nothing to do after the defeat of the Pokemon League... In black and white there was a tone to do.. I played my black version 320 hours. But my Y version only 77 hours and it took me 72 hours to beat the game... There is no place to train your pokemons except for the Pokemon league but they dont grow stronger after you completed the main story -very bad story (Had lots of potential... Mega mewtwo! What a waste of not using it in the story... The return of team rocket! Giovanni still has DNA from Mewtwo left [He should.. He created him. While mewtwo was still in development Giovanni toke DNA from Mewtwo just in Case] and tried to create a more powerful clone and created Mega Mewtwo... All other Mega Pokemons are a result of Giovanni changing their DNA to create more Powerful Pokemons... Now that is a idea... But instead they went with team flare... I would mind team flare if the story behind them were good Overall: A very fun game and wont disappoint newcomers but People like me that played every single game in the series will feel a little disappointed overall... But I still had lots of fun.. Just... I like Pokemon Heartgold, XD or Black more because of endless content after you completed the game

> 24 hourThis game is addicting. Not sure what makes this one even more addicting than the rest but it is. I couldnt put it down. Maybe is the graphics, interface, streamline of everything or the online. Take your pick but the game is just plain fun and addicting. The way the shared exp. is handled makes the game less of a chore to level up your pokemon and makes you concentrate more on exploring, catching and other things instead of worrying about the rest that are being left behind. It makes the grind better knowing everyone is leveling up. Now this was in past games but the way is handled here is so much better and smooth. The lack of 3D in most of the game is disappointing but not a deal breaker. Im sure the game will be optimized in the next installments much how B/W were huge graphical improvements over the 1st DS Pokemon games.

> 24 hourOur boys - ages 10 and 15 (when we bought this) have really enjoyed this game. Our 10 year old bought it for our older son for Christmas because he knew he was getting Pokemon X for Christmas and he felt bad for our 15 year old! : ) LOL I told our 15 year old son that and he was truly touched and it made him that much more willing to play the game with our younger son! In Pokemon Y players will go to a place theyve never been before - the Kalos Region, and have the ability to see and collect new Pokemon theyve never encountered before - which is always fun. With X and Y it brings the count of Pokemon to well over 600 Pokemon - Im not sure exactly how many. There are forests, cities, and at the center of all of this is Luminose City - which from what the boys have shown me is all pretty cool. Our younger son really likes to show me when one of his Pokemon is about to evolve - it is pretty cool! In the new games, X and Y, there are some pretty tough Pokemon to catch - which makes the game all the more difficult - it adds a new and more challenging element. There are new moves, new attacks, and a couple of new types of Pokemon never before introduced in other games before - grass and leaf. It all makes for some exciting and interesting game play. If your kids are Pokemon players, Id highly recommend these two new games!

> 24 hourBought this game for my daughter and when she put it in her 3ds error pops up. After research its because people powersave. Places like gamestop actually check what you try to sell them, apparently this seller does not.

> 24 hourAfter Pokemon Black and White 2 launched last year, I was concerned for the future of Pokemon games. I knew theyd eventually return their former glory, but it was a question of when. The time has come. Pokemon X/Y reinvents the franchise by removing tedious grinding(game progression being tied to spending excess hours doing similar battles) and adding in new game mechanics, such as mega evolution. The game also features a much improved 3D world. The game feels similar to Pokemon Colosseum, which I absolutely loved. If you have been waiting for a point to jump back into Pokemon or want to give it a go for the first time, this is a great entry point.

> 24 hourThis game is great as a nostalgia piece and on its own merits. The addition of Mega Evolutions and the Fairy type has changed the game for the better. Game Freaks didnt go overboard with new Pokemon, instead sprinkling them in and filling in the rest of the roster with great monsters from previous generations. This allows returning players a sense of newness and familiarity. The new battle sequences are also a much needed improvement over the basic sprite based battles from the past. The only two issues I really had with the game are with the difficulty and the online trading system. 1) Very early in the game the player receives an item that gives every Pokemon on the team half of the experience for the fight, even if they didnt participate. In the past it would only give one monster the bonus. While you can turn it on and off, leaving it on leads to your Pokemon being leaps and bounds ahead of any enemy you face. Another issue with difficulty is that the player rarely runs into other trainers with more than 2-3 Pokemon in their team. This makes battles quick and a little too easy. 2) The Global Trading System (GTS) is a little hit or miss. If you search for a Pokemon you want and then after that search put in a filter like only show trades where I own what they requested the trade will fail and take you back to the main screen of the 3DS or it will just say that the Pokemon has already been traded. This lead to frustration until I came across the issue while searching online. Those 2 issues are why I could not give the game a 5, but the game is a great improvement over previous games and would be good for any Pokemon players collection.

> 24 hourI believe that there is no need for another review of this game. I already finished it I took my time and have 150h of gamely mostly because I switched teams mid. Game several times. Its a great game for pokemon fans, If you played any pokemon game and liked it you will probably like this one a lot. If you have not had a chance to play any pokemon games check some videos before purchasing this as the style of the game might not be for everyone.

> 24 hourBest game in the series since the original silver and gold. Only reason I wont give it 5 stars is that most of the game doesnt play in 3D. The battles are poorly done in 3D with very little depth and only a few sections actually use it well. Kind of a disappointing feature for a game system built to play 3D content. However the game itself is very good and thoroughly enjoyable.
