I just got my copy today and I havent gotten to play very much. What I have played is amazing! The graphics are such an improvement from Black2/White 2 its insane. The gameplay and battle scenes are so cool, I really enjoy the new style. I do think it will take some getting use to because it is SO different but I am looking forward to it. I really like that the starter pokemon come with a move for their type. I always thought it was really strange that they always just had those generic moves like scratch or tackle but they didnt have ember until they evolved high enough. I cant wait to experience the new reigon in this new game style!

I believe that there is no need for another review of this game. I already finished it I took my time and have 150h of gamely mostly because I switched teams mid. Game several times. Its a great game for pokemon fans, If you played any pokemon game and liked it you will probably like this one a lot. If you have not had a chance to play any pokemon games check some videos before purchasing this as the style of the game might not be for everyone.

The game works fine, but it would have been very nice if the vendor had stated that the box and instruction manual were not included. I would have still purchased it if they had, and rated it as 5 stars. Being upfront about a simple thing like this goes a long way towards customer satisfaction.

I started playing Pokemon when I was a kid (around 10 or 12), I had Pokemon Red, and Yellow, and I played it on my GBP and GBC, respectively. I think I even beat one of them, after putting countless hours of play into them. They were a ton of fun. After that, though, I lost interest in the series and moved on to other games. I have not played another Pokemon since. So its been about 15 years. When I saw that they brought back the original Pokemon into this game, I decided to pick it up and give it a try. After playing it for a few days, I am thoroughly impressed. The quality of the 3D world, the animations, the sounds, the dialogue, everything... its almost perfect. Every time I play Im excited not only to find the Pokemon that I grew up with, but also to discover new Pokemon that Ive never seen before. If youre considering this game, I highly recommend it, even if you havent been following the series that closely. I cant find one complaint about the game thus far. I believe that Pokemon X/Y is going to become the most popular / best selling Pokemon game of this generation.

This was the first game I bought for my 3DS. I bought it last autumn as a treat for myself after passing my psychology midterm. I play this game the most out of my small game collection because after awhile, it gets a bit addicting. Because of the fast-paced storyline, the adorable (and bizzare) pokemon you can play with, and the amazing multiplayer compatibility, I can say with full confidence that this game rocks. Id recommenced this as a game for beginning to intermediate gamers, also for those who want to get into Pokemon but dont know where to start. The story is fun, but after you get the basic formulas down (fire beats grass, water beats fire, electricity beats water, etc.), battling isnt too terribly hard unless youre playing against a live opponent. Ive gotten to the point where I can play this before bed and continue to win even though Im too tired to keep my eyes open. However, because your pokemon can only learn 4 moves at a time (with limited times you can use each move), there is some basic strategy required, especially during the moments where you fight difficult bosses or other live players. And while the gameplay isnt that hard, its easy to get sucked into the mechanics of it all because each pokemon has specific trademark moves that makes for interesting battles. Unlike other pokemon games, you can actually interact, feed and play three different minigames (and a glitchy hidden minigame that uses your facial expressions as a playing piece) with your pokemon using the Pokemon-Amie feature. This allows you to feel close with the pokemon on your team. There is a lot of free-roaming allowed, and I have yet to discover all the hidden puzzles and treats left after beating the games story. One thing I want to mention though is that I dont see why the games so inconsistent with its 3D-capabilities. The majority of the game doesnt use the 3D option, but as soon as a battle starts or you enter a cave, you can use it. Also, there is an option for you as a player to customize your character. However, until you do a lot of side-questing in Luminose City, you wont be able to change your appearance, and even then theres a limited pallet. Still, you can buy outfits from each city you visit, so you can change clothes pretty early on. Overall, the games pretty fun and holds for nice challenges. Excuse me, for now I must be off. Gotta catch em all!

I love Pokemon Y. When it first came out and in the following months, I maxed out the timer on the hours played. This is a fantastic game and I was super excited to play through it again. The sellers customer service is also excellent! I had some questions about my order and the answered back within 10 minutes

Its a nice game. Good Pokemon selection, decent visuals, cool Pokemon animation, and the character customization is nice. Its also far, far, far too easy. Im actually pretty sure every game before this one isnt this easy. I actually beat the Champion in exactly 20 hours, and wasnt even threatened during that fight. No grinding, no slog, just victory. Also, theres also (almost) no stereo 3D outside of battle and some noticeable framerate issues. Solid enough, especially as an introduction point to the series.

This is a great game, a lot of improvements for those who both enjoy the simplicity of the story and battles, to the complexity of competitive play. Unfortunately I feel that it still does not deserve 5 stars. This is the game that Black & White should have been, This is the game that Heart Gold and Soul Silver should have been. It should not have take this long to reach this level of quality for the game, graphics and mechanics. Now that Pokemon has finally reached the 3D era of games, it feels like they are STILL being lazy, still taking shortcuts wherever they can. They really need to tear down the game to the nuts and bolts and particularly look at the UI. The roundabout fashion that users have to take to get from A to B is indicative of a game from 10 years ago, not 2013. The Pokemon series is the most bumbling, poorly UI designed game I have played on a DS system, and I mean that quite sincerely. The stylus is a uncomfortable burden, not a fun new way of playing. Half the game is buried in menus only accessible by the stylus. I didnt even KNOW you could change menu pages to access Super Training and Pokemon-Amie until about the 5th or 6th gym badge, and trust me thats a long way in. I only found out that I could because someone else playing the game told me! Take out the stylus, put it back, take it out, put it back. Watch anyone play Pokemon and this is what youll see. Eventually they do one of two things: take out the stylus and hold it in their hand while pressing buttons, or put it away and do some other task they really didnt want to do, they just do it because it doesnt involve the stylus. Hire a new UI crew, one that is credited with successful DS titles, and totally redo the menu system. Pro tip: asking other players how to navigate a menu is NOT part of a game, players should be able to experience and navigate a game in its entirety without outside assistance. X & Y are a great addition to the series and I enjoy playing it thoroughly. The transition to a 3D game leaves that great Pokemon feel intact.

The product photo shows the US version box, but you will almost certainly get the world (UAE / Singapore / Malaysia) version instead as of 2022. However, the cartridge sticker and the game on the cartridge are entirely identical to the US version, and work on North American 3DS/2DS consoles. It even says USA in the product code on the cartridge. The only differences are the paper insert in the case and the pamphlet inside the case. If youre collecting cases, youll want to look elsewhere. But if youre collecting cartridges or just want to play the game, the listings here are great. If youve played Pokemon X, you know what youre in for. If youre coming from the older DS games, this ones similar though perhaps easier. I found X/Y definitely lower difficulty, but thats partly because I did the petting, feeding and minigames in the Amie feature. Do this and your Pokemon will gain boosted exp the same as if they were holding a Lucky Egg, theyll get more crits, and theyll randomly hang on with 1 HP when they would otherwise faint, sometimes for multiple turns in a row. If you want more difficulty, dont pet your Pokemon. If youre coming from the Switch games or Alola, this one is a little more challenging, and more in the traditional Pokemon formula. You travel from town to town defeating eight gym leaders and then fight the Elite Four and then the champion. You dont get ride pagers or taxis. You have to travel with Pokemon that youve taught HM moves to in order to chop trees, shove rocks, cross water, etc. While the game does support 3D mode in caves and battles, I strongly suggest turning it off in battles. It tends to make the framerate awful. If you have a modded New 3DS console, you can use Luma to enable the faster New 3DS clock speeds for the game, which fixes all framerate issues, even in 3D. Also, a tip: Download the update data. Not only is it required for online multiplayer, but it fixes a save corruption glitch. If you dont get the update, DO NOT save the game while outside in the outer ring portion of Lumiose City -- if you save here and dont have the update, theres a small chance your save will be corrupted and youll need to start over.
