> 3 dayI took a pretty big hiatus from the Pokemon games, skipping most generations post Gold/Silver to play Black fairly recently. Decided Id be buying this day one. Loved the main game, although the story was a bit lighter in content than White/Black. The post game was also fairly light and didnt provide much incentive to keep playing beyond catching some legendaries. Lots of lovely tunes, many of which where remixed or incorporated tunes from previous games, increasing my love of them tenfold. I felt like a little kid again playing this. The main game is also very easy. If you want a challenge at all, turn off EXP Share. I will say the framerate in battle can be pretty atrocious, especially with 3D on. It wont prevent you from playing, but it does make things distinctly less nice to look at.

> 3 dayThis game had so much hype over the last few months... And it definitely deserved it! Although this may be since I am a Pokémon fanboy, I absolutely loved the constant references to older games and the extremely well-made music all throughout this game. The 3D models were stunning, especially since it was the first time 3D models were used in a mainstream Pokémon game, and it made the battles so much more dynamic. The story was lacking however, and though I do not want to spoil too much, try not to expect any major plot twists or anything like those seen in Pokémon Black, White, Black 2, and White 2; but then again, Pokémon is less about the story and more about the adventure anyway, so this is not too huge a flaw. Overall, I adore this game and although I did not cover some other amazing features in it (Mega Evolution, the friend system, customizing your character, etc.), it is absolutely beautiful and I would love to see all Pokéfans, old and new, to play this game and enjoy it as much as I did.

> 3 dayIve only been playing since Sinho(D/P), but this is by far my favorite of the series(even including ASOR). The end of the main story actually made me tear up, and Ive never had a Nintendo game do that. Not to mention all the improvements to the gameplay itself. I had high expectations for this game, and it exceeded all of them. B+W was a disappointment to many(myself included, why it took me so long to get this game), but I beg you not to give up on the new generations just yet.

> 3 dayThe game itself is an okay game. Seeing a pokemon game on the 3ds for the first time was a fun experience. Overall the game is good just make sure you are aware that many third party sellers are trying to sell the World edition through the NTSC-U listing

Greater than one weekIve played both X and Y, and, as with most other Pokemon games, they are essentially the same game with a few differences in available Pokemon. This definitely isnt my favorite Pokemon game, but thats not saying much. This game focuses much more on the story and adds an interesting deviation from the classic rivals from the previous games. Being the first game for the 3DS, its graphics are, of course, an immense improvement from Gen 5. While Im not super critical on aesthetics for portable games, the animations definitely add a great deal to the overall feel and immersion. Overall a great game, and while I do enjoy Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire more, X/Y offer enough to deserve a place in any Pokemon fans collection.

> 3 dayLike all Pokemon games it was fun to play. I liked the graphics for the most part, the Pokemon were pretty cool, and I enjoyed the post game Looker quest. My biggest gripe with this game was Lumiose City. First, it is difficult to navigate and figure out where you are. Second the camera angle for the character made me want to hurl. Instead of having a birds eye view like the rest of the game the camera was placed right behind the character and it gave me motion sickness. Other problems were that it seemed way too short and that there was hardly anything to do post game, but those flaws werent too significant for me to care that much. Overall it is a good game and I would recommend it.

Greater than one weekAs a advid fan of Pokemon Ive been playing these games since the original Red and Blue, Ive played just about every version on the Gameboy color, the Gamboy Advance, and DS. Now Ive finally got Pokemon Y in my hands and what do I think of it? Its a good game. No doubt, I got it today and Ive only just barely put it down. Lets take a look at what were getting with this package. The graphics for this game are the best for any main series Pokemon game, ever. Gone are the flat 2D graphics, these are in fresh new 3D, and it looks fantastic. I love how this game looks, walking around cities, the character models look awesome, and the Pokemon battles are much like battles from Pokemon Stadium, or XD. So great job on that. The formula is, for the most part, unchanged. Youre a boy/girl whos been given a shiny new Pokemon, Grass, Fire, or Water, and youre on a quest to catch em all. All the while collecting Gym Badges like theyre hotcakes. I cant say much about the story as Ive only beaten one Gym, and just recently got my second starter, but so far its looking like the story wont have anything new to offer, which honestly I dont care too much about. I dont expect a heartwrenchingly deep story from Pokemon. Though, I do have a few nitpiks that I am annoyed about. This game feels, compared to older Pokemon games, a bit too easy. I dont really expect Pokemon games to be overly difficult, but Id at least like some challenge. The first Gym was laughably easy, which could be partially tuned to the fact that I choose the fire starter, and got the Wifi Torchic, and the first gym uses bug type Pokemon, but even so it feels...yeah. And the fact that i was given an Experince Share, technically an Exp All, right after the first gym...yeah. Not sure what youre trying to do Gamefreak, but I would at least like there to be some challenge, even my eight year old self, the age I was when I first picked up Pokemon, wouldnt find this all that hard. At least up the difficulty a little, dont give us Experince Share that early, I dont care if people complain about grinding, thats what you do in a RPG. But other than that. I dont really have many complaints, the game looks great, its fun, if a bit on the easy side but its still good. I look forward to beating this game.
