Pokémon Y

> 3 dayI found this game to be quite entertaining. One because its a new vast world in 3D and two because it didnt feel as linear as B&W versions. Plus with the addition of the mega evolution, it allows you to win battles with ease. And the fact you get a second chance of choosing a starter from generation one. My only concern was the idea of exp share among all Pokémon in your party. Sure its nice to level up your party faster but it does detract from what the older games set up. And the other thing is that you are given some free handouts of strong/ legendary Pokémon. But overall definitely a great game, with great new Pokémon for an fun adventure that will last for hours.

> 3 dayThe game works fine, but it would have been very nice if the vendor had stated that the box and instruction manual were not included. I would have still purchased it if they had, and rated it as 5 stars. Being upfront about a simple thing like this goes a long way towards customer satisfaction.

> 3 dayThis game is awesome. I havent played a pokemon game since silver pokemon games have essentially been the same since then but this one just changes all that. Pokemon battles are alot nicer now the graphics finally graduated to 3d models instead of 2d pictures making noises. Im glad I bought this along with my new 3DS XL (zelda edition). The core game is still there but finally got the much needed visual polish if youre an old fan of the series you may want to come back as the old starter pokemon are in this and have a new mega evolution which is really awesome breathes new life into old classics.

> 3 dayThe missus played it nonstop so it worked! Got it as birthday present along with a 3DS as she kept hinting at NOT wanting a 3DS...hahha! She loved it. She beat it in a couple weeks, though. I wont talk about the game too much, since Ive only had the opportunity to have quick glances over shoulders, but all the 3D-ness is fun and the connectivity is great. I spent half an hour Wonder-trading (randomly trading with random other players) in hopes of getting legendaries...(ok, thats not happening). But beyond that, best check out some game review websites... Great buy. Its also available in the digital Nintendo store, but its more expensive, so if the two day (Prime) wait is not too long, get it here!

> 3 dayI decided I wanted to buy Pokemon Y because I hadnt played a Pokemon game in forever and I wanted to bring back the nostalgia of Pokemon Blue back from when I was in elementary school. The Pokemon franchise has come a long way since its initial debut in the 90s but for its time I still think the original games were better. Having said that, this game is still great and if youre a Pokemon fan Im sure youll enjoy it. Graphics and individual moves have come a long way since the last time I played one of these games and its refreshing. The game play is similar to most Pokemon games. You collect badges by beating different gym leaders in various towns around the map with the intention of eventually beating the Elite 4. I like the fact that this game has the old classic Pokemon like Squirtle and Pikachu as well as new ones Ive never seen before. The only negative thing I can see about this game is that it seems a little too easy to me and thats why I gave it 4 stars.. To be honest, I dont know all the strengths and weaknesses of each Pokemon type but even still I felt like I didnt have any trouble getting through most of the game (I will say that I am not through the game completely, but I am near completing the main story). I kind of miss back in the old days where I had to grind for a while to level my Pokemon up or get a certain type in order to beat a certain gym. I never had to do that in this game.

> 3 dayI love Pokemon Y. When it first came out and in the following months, I maxed out the timer on the hours played. This is a fantastic game and I was super excited to play through it again. The sellers customer service is also excellent! I had some questions about my order and the answered back within 10 minutes

> 3 dayI took a pretty big hiatus from the Pokemon games, skipping most generations post Gold/Silver to play Black fairly recently. Decided Id be buying this day one. Loved the main game, although the story was a bit lighter in content than White/Black. The post game was also fairly light and didnt provide much incentive to keep playing beyond catching some legendaries. Lots of lovely tunes, many of which where remixed or incorporated tunes from previous games, increasing my love of them tenfold. I felt like a little kid again playing this. The main game is also very easy. If you want a challenge at all, turn off EXP Share. I will say the framerate in battle can be pretty atrocious, especially with 3D on. It wont prevent you from playing, but it does make things distinctly less nice to look at.

22-11-2024This game lived up to its hype when it came out. Made me buy a 3ds just to play this game and Id say it was absolutely worth it. Nowadays theres newer games but Id say that this game is still worth coming back around to do a casual playthrough. So many hours were sunk into breeding the perfect lucario (which totally happened) and now its one of my life achievements since a 6 IV perfect pokemon are so hard to get.

> 3 dayFun game that I enjoyed thoroughly, but I was upset with the friend obtaining process for friend safari and the way one has to obtain legendary bird pokemon. There is no tier system for PVP pokemon battles, so someone with all legendary pokemon can challenge a new player that only has basic pokemon. Of course, one can decline the fight, but one needs to interact with others in order to obtain their friend safaris. So its like a mandatory one-sided pokemon slaughter sometimes. I would say this game is really more like a 4.5/5 stars, but alas it does not let me give that rating. Overall, it is well made and I would definitely recommend it.
