> 24 hourI have had the Razer Deathadder Elite mouse for just a few months now and I have begun to get what I am now finding out is common squeaking noise when you scroll down on the page with the page scroll wheel. After looking it up and seeing other videos with the exact same issue I am unable to find a solution to fix it. Besides that the mouse functions as expected for now but if there is such a common issue after such a short usage time I can only imagine other issues in the future. For a premium priced product I would expect much higher quality. Sadly this will be the last Razer product I buy for quite a while I expect. The expected quality of products I have seen from Razer recently I have purchases (keyboards, mouses, gaming keypads eg: Orbweaver Chroma) etc. Have all dropped way down. Time to find a different brand overall sadly.

> 24 hourThis mouse lasted almost 4 years. My mouse before this (adder) only lasted about 2 years. The way the mouse is designed makes it easy to hold in different hand positions. I like to hold it more sideways, and its good for that, but you could also hold it straight from the top, and it would be good for that too. I rarely had any discomfort with this, and will most likely buy another one. The DPI clutch is weird. I never used it, but I like how they have the option of removing it completely which I did. And its really easy to remove, because its only held on by a little mechanism and a magnet. the only thing I didnt like about this mouse was the rubber part on the inside where your thumb rests. It is very susceptible to staining from the oil/sweat from your hand. That combined with my thumb rubbing the same spot over and over could have left a mark on it. Either way it looks gross, and cant be cleaned. Thats the only bad thing about it. Good size, good weight, nice feel.

> 24 hourIve been looking to replace my Logitech G9X for several years as it began to show its age. The problem? Finding another mouse that worked for larger hands with a side grip/hand rest on it and my preferred button configuration. After years of searching and almost being resigned to paying way too much for another G9X on eBay, I found this mouse and decided to give it a try. After using it for several weeks for both gaming (ARPG, 4X strategy, RTS) and work use, I finally have a replacement for my 11 year old G9X. If youre looking for a replacement and you dont like the Logitech G502 (which I didnt - just didnt work for my hands but still a great mouse) this is my recommended choice. The only missing element is the fact that the Basilisk does not have weight tuning like the G9X did but I find it to be a good mid-range weight and with the crazy-high DPI available on the Basilisk almost a non-issue.

> 24 hourSo Ive had this mouse for about a year now, and I do very much like it. It feels good in my hand, and was a decent purchase when it was on sale for about $45.00 when I bought it. Now however it is back up to $70.00, and after a year of use there are some issues with the mouse. First of all, after maybe 5 or 6 months of use a small piece of plastic inside of the scroll wheel mechanism broke. I dont know how. I would try to open it up and fix it myself, but I know almost nothing about computer mice, and I was surprised to find that the scroll wheel worked perfectly, and it could even be adjusted still. I thought nothing of it. Then after another 2 months or so, I started to notice that there were inconsistencies when scrolling. For example, if I am scrolling down at a medium pace, then I slow down, the next few scrolls will scroll much longer. I didnt use to do this before (or at least I didnt notice). Then a week later, the middle mouse click started to act up. Now you have to press on it with much more force than any other mouse owned. Its not horrible. The force required to press middle mouse isnt really much more, I just wish it hadnt happened. Im not going to buy a new $70.00 mouse because of this. Also, as noted in someone elses review, the little rubber piece on the left side of the mouse feels like it is peeling off. It hasnt every come off, it just doesnt feel like its attached very well in the corner. I noticed this after only a week. Its only been 1 year, what is going to happen after another? Hopefully this is the extent of quality issues, and Ill be able to keep using this mouse for at least a few more years. Ive had worse things happen to mice, but as this is a $70.00 product Im disappointed. Also the software is annoying, but this has already been said in other reviews. These are only small things, and the mouse is still really good. It can be really sensitive for FPS games and what not, but also a lot less sensitive for regular use. I like the mouses multi-function paddle. I use it to slow down the DPI when pressed, so when Im trying to accurately click on something, I have much more control. Overall, the mouse is very customize-able, and nice to use. However the build quality of the scroll wheel seems to have some problems, and the software is a bit garbage. Good buy, but even better if on sale.

> 24 hourA fantastic mouse all around, as most Razer mice are. The sensitivity clutch is brilliant. I dont play many FPS games, its intended purpose, but even for creative work, fine editing of graphics and documents, its a wonderful feature to have. Very easy to use, yet totally out of the way when not needed. The Razer Synapse 3.0 software however, is a step back from the previous version. Before you could set the rate at which the mouse movement accelerates, and with this mouse and the new software, you can only set a fixed DPI rather than one that will scale with longer mouse movements. Not a big deal, but its still a disappointment to see a feature regression like that.

> 24 hourI only Found two things to be wrong with this with my experience. I don’t know if the mouse is too small or if my hands are just big, but it doesn’t really fit into your hand. And the DPI clutch started to get annoying, didn’t really use it, in games like cod MW, and Destiny 2. But what’s good about that clutch, is you can customize it (as well as all of the buttons) to a good amount of different actions. I ended up returning this and getting the Mamba Elite (wired), have had it for 2 months now, haven’t regretted it.

> 24 hourI had to abandon Razer mice for a bit as the arthritis i got from limes disease while in the army started to get worse. I couldnt use my beloved Mamba anymore. I switched to the Logitech G602 and was in love with almost everything about it. But as soon as i saw the basilisk i was very happy. It has a very similar shape and feel to the G602 (the G903 was too skinny and long for me). But with Razers FAR superior software, aesthetic and switches. Happy to have a 100% razer desktop again and waiting on them to copy Stinkys foot pad to make ALL my peripherals Razer.

> 24 hourIm not sure I feel the same as everyone who raves about this mouse. I am a fingertip grip PC FPS gamer foremost which came from using a Logitech G500 for so many years to count. Ultimately there is a specific type of form for people who finger tip grip and this mouse definitely has the feel and the finish. I loved the clean design language and the quality of the material. The rubber side molding feels great to hold and the entire mouse has a light weight good quality exterior finish. People say the mouse is heavy for a competitive mouse just over 100 grams at 107-8g but to me honestly; Im a bigger guy who lifts a bit at 511 -220lb with pretty decent medium-large hands with slightly long fingers. So this mouse felt almost too light and too small. When I move the mouse it is with my finger tips attached like a claw like grip but ultimately a lot of grip comes from the palm of my hand resting on the mouse. Ultimately my palm has trouble touching this mouse in my grip and makes it harder to control because the mouse is too small. Moving onto software: Synapse 2.0 didnt recognize this mouse so I couldnt utilize the drivers unit synapse 3.0 came out. While it Works the program is FAR from finished and definitely needs some more polish. Mechanically this mouse has some great clicks. The buttons are very responsive and crisp in a Razer fashion. The mechanical buttons are very tactile in their mechanism and always give a great feed back for a good sounding click, the sensor is very good and I cant even get it to spin out and lose itself when I swipe the mouse across. Definitely has a great sensor as Razers most current mouse. The mouse wheel has a resistance adjust that is cool but, it still feels kinda cheap and lackluster compared to a logitech with infinite scroll. Design (Which is very subjective) to me as a designer I very much appreciated the product design of this mouse. Lines are lining up with certain design elements and the aesthetic is pure and simple sculpture without randomness. Everything is graphically very organized and its currently my favorite LOOKING mouse on the market. I just wished it fit my hand. Ultimately if youre a smaller person who can wield a lighter mouse then this is pretty perfect. I think for me next Ill be onto trying a Logitech g903 or G502 and a Razer Deathadder for a bigger size person.

> 24 hourMeh. The mouse is much more narrow than youd expect. I have small hands and my pinky finger dragged on the mousepad. But the absolute worst thing about this product is the software. To use the functionality Razer sells in this mouse, it requires installation of their Razer Synapse application, which requires the installation of a Razer Central application, which requires you to create an account with Razer. Despite my gut saying dont do it... I went ahead and did it. I installed the software on my Win10 pc and created an account. The result was 532MB spread across 8 persistent memory threads. No joke! Synapse software was consuming nearly half a gig of memory, the second highest user of memory behind Chrome browser. Totally unacceptable. Synapse app had 3 running threads. Central app had 3 running threads. Annoyingly, the chroma function (which I declined to install but was clearly installed anyway) was installed and instantiated another 2 threads. To require so much software, consuming nearly half a gig of memory, just to use a mouse, is not an injustice. It demonstrates carelessness and poor product development. Further, the account is active when the software is active thus Razer is monitoring and collecting anything you do via a browser and who knows when else. Their privacy policy was weak and all but declares your data is not going to be protected (seriously, read it to the end). The privacy policy clearly declares theyll be tracking your use of social network services (aka facebook, twitter, etc.) anytime Razer software is active, such as when you use the mouse. And since the software is mandatory... Razer be watching you at all times. Good luck with that.

> 24 hourThe functionality is there and works great, fits in the hand well, however the rubber mat under the thumb came loose, and I had to superglue it down in order to correct the issue so that it does not come loose anymore, and cause issues when trying to hit the DPI clutch.
