The functionality is there and works great, fits in the hand well, however the rubber mat under the thumb came loose, and I had to superglue it down in order to correct the issue so that it does not come loose anymore, and cause issues when trying to hit the DPI clutch.

I play mostly first-person shooters and World of Tanks, which I guess would be classified as a shooter, and the mouse performs really well. It feels comfortable to use and is slightly on the smaller side, which I like. So to put things into perspective, I wear and buy large gloves, ergo have large hands, and am able to use a palm grip with the mouse. The only downside of the mouse is that they decided to use rubber on the sides. After a while, the rubber becomes slightly tacky to touch, and will never have the new mouse feeling after you clean it.

I love the razer mouse Death Adder Elite series. The Basilisk series came out and I had to try it, The tension control on the scroll wheel makes it nice so you dont over spin wile switching weapons in my FPP games, the extra button for whatever you want to use it for makes things easy so you have one less key on your keyboard worry about. What I dont like is its size. I have big hands with long fingers and it does not feel natural in my hand like the Death Adder. When Im in game my grip just dont feel right seems to throw me off my game ,feels to small. It would be cool if Razer could build the next model based off the Death Adder and little bigger to. All and all Im still happy with the performance.

I have had the Razer Deathadder Elite mouse for just a few months now and I have begun to get what I am now finding out is common squeaking noise when you scroll down on the page with the page scroll wheel. After looking it up and seeing other videos with the exact same issue I am unable to find a solution to fix it. Besides that the mouse functions as expected for now but if there is such a common issue after such a short usage time I can only imagine other issues in the future. For a premium priced product I would expect much higher quality. Sadly this will be the last Razer product I buy for quite a while I expect. The expected quality of products I have seen from Razer recently I have purchases (keyboards, mouses, gaming keypads eg: Orbweaver Chroma) etc. Have all dropped way down. Time to find a different brand overall sadly.

I had a Logitech MX Master, and compared to that: +adjustable DPI, on the mouse, via a rocker button, thats pretty handy actually +clutch to release that DPI setting, so the mouse goes nice and slow for detailed work - the Logitech has a nice free spinning wheel for fast scrolling up and down a browser page. - Logitech has slightly better ergonomics for my big hand. Overall winner: this Razer Bazilisk.

Are you a content creator? Do you edit photos or video? Buy this. I also use a death adder elite and much love to the death adder but with the basilisk I can easily press the sensitivity clutch when I need to make a precision edit to a photo or video. Brilliant. Feels great in my hand. A tiny bit better than the death adder and much love to the death adder I will forever love that mouse (years of reliable use), but now I also love the basilisk. The razer software continues to be buggy for me. I do not blame the mouse.

Only reason I dont give five stars is Razer Synapse 3, which is needed to make full use of its features. When it isnt working the dpi clutch doesnt work. Neither does control of the RGB among other things. Its not the most stable software and occasionally just stops working, sometimes requiring a full system reset to work again. Not a deal breaker by any means, though.

Ive had my Basilisk for about a year and ever since about two weeks in Ive noticed a subtle shift in quality. It occasionally disconnects on its own, Synapse lags up and the buttons on the sides dont work (then it bursts for each lost input) or it outright refuses to function normally. These are pretty rare now, but a month or two ago it started double-clicking for no reason, or dropping held clicks. Now it clicks whenever it so pleases, and the left click button has a slight jiggle to it. The mouse hasnt been dropped. I dont use it rough enough for it to fall apart like this from light use, especially when my last one lasted longer. Sometimes youre just unlucky... While I wait for my Steelseries mouse to ship in, I set my LMB to be disabled while left mouse click is set to the side buttons.

I previously owned a Razer Imperator, and hoped that the Basilisk would be a fitting replacement for it. Its not. For one thing, its small. I dont have big hands, but theres no good place to put my ring finger. Theres no natural placement for my hand. The buttons are weirdly angled and sized in a way that makes things awkward. The DPI clutch is a cool idea, but its placed way too far forwards to be useful for me. The scroll wheel feels very high, making getting to it uncomfortable. The RGB idea is cool, but only active when the software is running and youre logged in. This means even when your screensaver is on it defaults back to cycling through colors. Why is your choice not saved on the mouse? I know it has on-board profiles. The sensitivity settings are very customizable, and I thought the Synapse software was fine, better than I was expecting based on the comments. I would just like it more if the mouse was more comfortable. Also, it took Amazon *4 tries* to send the right mouse to me. Thats more on Amazon than Razer though...

Great mouse! My old Mamba TE died on me so I decided to try something new, and Im glad I did! This mouse is super comfortable to use and nice and small for my smaller hands. Id not recommend this for people with huge hands unless you use claw grip though. The buttons are very responsive and very nice, and I love the sensitivity adjustment on the scroll wheel. I wish it had tilt-clicks on the scroll wheel, but thats not a huge deal. The RGB is really nice. I wish it had it in some other places though because it gets mostly covered up by your hand. Again, not a huge concern. The thumb rest is very comfortable and the rubberized grip is really nice. The two extra buttons are very nice and easy to access, and the thumb paddle is great for push-to-talk or any other useful on the fly button you may want to use. Overall, a great purchase!
