> 3 dayThe mouse itself works great and has a lot of customization options, from changing LED lighting or sensitivity on the fly. However, the mouse also comes with an entire suite of software that has to be installed and a majority of it you probably dont need. That means this mouse isnt just a plug and play deal since you have to go through this setup but if youre that person who wants to tweak every little thing about the mouse then this is fine for you. When my first mouse arrived the rubber gripping near the very base of the thumb and palm is coming away from the mouse. I ordered a replacement and the new one has the same issue. I expected a little more from a pricier mouse.

18-11-2024The overall feel of this mouse is nice, but its held back by some hard-to-ignore flaws. The sides of the mouse are smooth rubber which feels awful and is impossible to keep from feeling greasy, no matter how often you clean it. My wife has a Razer mouse and the rubber wore away in less than a year, which I expect to happen here — I wouldnt have ordered it if I knew the size and smoothness of the rubber. Additionally, the mouse wheel click is incredibly sensitive and happens often when scrolling the wheel. Razers keyboard and mouse software borders on bloatware, and is incredibly intrusive and a pain to use. For all it does, it still wont boot your system with the LED settings youve saved so you have to tolerate the obnoxious default rainbow setting until the OS loads Razer Synapse. Coming from a Logitech G500 (which is no longer sold, unfortunately) this mouse doesnt really stack up. The rubber texture is hard to get past and the software is too much.

> 3 dayIve had my Basilisk for about a year and ever since about two weeks in Ive noticed a subtle shift in quality. It occasionally disconnects on its own, Synapse lags up and the buttons on the sides dont work (then it bursts for each lost input) or it outright refuses to function normally. These are pretty rare now, but a month or two ago it started double-clicking for no reason, or dropping held clicks. Now it clicks whenever it so pleases, and the left click button has a slight jiggle to it. The mouse hasnt been dropped. I dont use it rough enough for it to fall apart like this from light use, especially when my last one lasted longer. Sometimes youre just unlucky... While I wait for my Steelseries mouse to ship in, I set my LMB to be disabled while left mouse click is set to the side buttons.

> 3 dayI had to abandon Razer mice for a bit as the arthritis i got from limes disease while in the army started to get worse. I couldnt use my beloved Mamba anymore. I switched to the Logitech G602 and was in love with almost everything about it. But as soon as i saw the basilisk i was very happy. It has a very similar shape and feel to the G602 (the G903 was too skinny and long for me). But with Razers FAR superior software, aesthetic and switches. Happy to have a 100% razer desktop again and waiting on them to copy Stinkys foot pad to make ALL my peripherals Razer.

> 3 daySlight problem with using hyper shift, lost control of button assignments. Called help desk and problem was resolved for now after 15 to 20 minutes and removing and reinstalling synapse 3. I dont mess with hypershift any more. Nice mouse, I use it for Fortnite and I have two Logitech mice. G602 and MX performance. Solid feel for someone with medium large hands and quite comfortable for hours. Never have had any problems with my playing hand using this mouse.

> 3 dayIve been using this mouse to replace my Naga Trinity. First, let me start by saying that this mouse is very comfortable. The thumb rest feels comfortable, yet grabs a grip when you need it to. It also feels very responsive, especially when Im playing Rainbow Six Siege. My only confusion is Ive had this mouse for less then a few months, and that rubber where my thumb rests is already beginning to come off the plastic frame. Not a huge deal, some gorilla glue will take care of that just fine, but a little concerning that its already beginning to peel just after a few months of use. I expect a little better durability from a $70 gaming mouse, Razer.

> 3 dayGreat mouse! My old Mamba TE died on me so I decided to try something new, and Im glad I did! This mouse is super comfortable to use and nice and small for my smaller hands. Id not recommend this for people with huge hands unless you use claw grip though. The buttons are very responsive and very nice, and I love the sensitivity adjustment on the scroll wheel. I wish it had tilt-clicks on the scroll wheel, but thats not a huge deal. The RGB is really nice. I wish it had it in some other places though because it gets mostly covered up by your hand. Again, not a huge concern. The thumb rest is very comfortable and the rubberized grip is really nice. The two extra buttons are very nice and easy to access, and the thumb paddle is great for push-to-talk or any other useful on the fly button you may want to use. Overall, a great purchase!

> 3 dayAbsolutely stunning are the words I use to describe this mouse. I play alot of CS and I saw this mouse and was skeptical of it because mice like the G403 and the Zowie EC1A exist but honestly there are functions this mouse does that are simply better than those mice. For example the clutch dpi clutch and the hypershift mode for the mouse are some of the best quality of life features for any FPS gamer. As I mentioned I play CS and if you need to pull out any nade I can bind all my nades to either the side buttons or use the clutch to free up the side buttons and instead only use the dpi clutch to pull the nades. Not only that but the mouse has many many more features I wont get into. Essentially you can program it to do pretty much anything on your PC. From opening programs with a push of a button to text prompts. Also has on-board memory for multiple profiles and to top it all of a mouse wheel resistance tab (for a lack of a better word). This mouse is truly one of my favorites ever. The only downside is the slightly higher delay on the buttons, the Logitech mice all have a button delay of 4 milliseconds while the basilisk and most other mice have a delay of 8 milliseconds. This is the only downside for this mouse and isnt a flaw that will hurt your gaming experience that much. Pros: -Dpi clutch -Fully customization on the buttons that literally allow you to do anything with the mouse -16000 dpi 5G sensor -RGB lighting -Compatible with Razer synapse for all other customization needs -Tension for the scroll wheel is adjustable, not as much as the free wheeling on something like the G903 but regardless a nice touch Cons: -Mouse is a little on the heavy side but no heavier than its main competitor the G403 -Slightly worse delay on the buttons than the Logitech mice but no worse than any other mouse competitor -Razer synapse can be hard to set up but when set up it is pretty straight forward -This may seem nit picky but alot of gunk can get stuck in between the grooves of the thumb rest but its hardly noticeable while playing
