> 24 hourI had to abandon Razer mice for a bit as the arthritis i got from limes disease while in the army started to get worse. I couldnt use my beloved Mamba anymore. I switched to the Logitech G602 and was in love with almost everything about it. But as soon as i saw the basilisk i was very happy. It has a very similar shape and feel to the G602 (the G903 was too skinny and long for me). But with Razers FAR superior software, aesthetic and switches. Happy to have a 100% razer desktop again and waiting on them to copy Stinkys foot pad to make ALL my peripherals Razer.

> 24 hourLove it! Im replacing a CM Storm Havoc (not made anymore) which worked well but was a little too wide. The Basilisk is narrower, fits my (female) hand better. I love the ability to change the resistance of the wheel. The wheel is rubber-coated and easy to grip, and has a soft ratchet sound. The mouse itself slides over my desk with almost no sound, the feet are super-slippery. Rubber on the sides makes it easy to pick up when needed. I also like the Synapse software - had no problems that others have reported. I love the LEDs and the ability to set it for a very slow cycle through all colors. The wheel looks like a Tron light cycle wheel - very cool.

> 24 hourFor those with larger than average hands, these are very ergonomic and easy to use. Being able to adjust DPI on the fly makes gaming easier. I also like how tactile the clicks are and how comfortable it is to reach each button on the mouse with with ease. For high sense players, like myself, 16,000 dpi is way more than what the average player would need. The mouse is very responsive, and I like how the sniper button can be modified with a smaller button or removed completely. I use the smaller sniper button due to my thumb length and I can easily press it without awkwardly manipulating my thumb. For those looking for a good mouse for FPS games, this works well in APEX and Modern Warfare. My only complaint is that there is no onboad memory.

> 24 hourThis mouse is a good weight, has comfortable grip and nice button placement. I use it primarily for graphic design work on a mac and it has been great so far, however, I really cannot recommend the software that they provide for macOS. I would probably only recommend this mouse if you are using a PC.

> 24 hourSo Ive had this mouse for about a year now, and I do very much like it. It feels good in my hand, and was a decent purchase when it was on sale for about $45.00 when I bought it. Now however it is back up to $70.00, and after a year of use there are some issues with the mouse. First of all, after maybe 5 or 6 months of use a small piece of plastic inside of the scroll wheel mechanism broke. I dont know how. I would try to open it up and fix it myself, but I know almost nothing about computer mice, and I was surprised to find that the scroll wheel worked perfectly, and it could even be adjusted still. I thought nothing of it. Then after another 2 months or so, I started to notice that there were inconsistencies when scrolling. For example, if I am scrolling down at a medium pace, then I slow down, the next few scrolls will scroll much longer. I didnt use to do this before (or at least I didnt notice). Then a week later, the middle mouse click started to act up. Now you have to press on it with much more force than any other mouse owned. Its not horrible. The force required to press middle mouse isnt really much more, I just wish it hadnt happened. Im not going to buy a new $70.00 mouse because of this. Also, as noted in someone elses review, the little rubber piece on the left side of the mouse feels like it is peeling off. It hasnt every come off, it just doesnt feel like its attached very well in the corner. I noticed this after only a week. Its only been 1 year, what is going to happen after another? Hopefully this is the extent of quality issues, and Ill be able to keep using this mouse for at least a few more years. Ive had worse things happen to mice, but as this is a $70.00 product Im disappointed. Also the software is annoying, but this has already been said in other reviews. These are only small things, and the mouse is still really good. It can be really sensitive for FPS games and what not, but also a lot less sensitive for regular use. I like the mouses multi-function paddle. I use it to slow down the DPI when pressed, so when Im trying to accurately click on something, I have much more control. Overall, the mouse is very customize-able, and nice to use. However the build quality of the scroll wheel seems to have some problems, and the software is a bit garbage. Good buy, but even better if on sale.

> 24 hourI have a Razer mouse on my 9 year old ASUS ROG computer it still works fine and I liked it a lot. So naturally I looked to Razer for my recently purchased ASUS Hero ROG (its about time I know!). Fortunately I decided the less expensive Razer was all I needed for flight simulation because otherwise I would have wasted even more money on a more expensive gaming Razer mouse. The Razer synapse software loaded on a computer to control the features of the mouse is bloated as I recall about 385 megabytes - and with it you can do absolutely nothing outside of what a plain vanilla mouse does unless you open a Razer account. In fact you need to open the account to get the software. The privacy statement that you need to agree to in order to keep the account open (which is necessary to use the full functionality of the mouse) is scary as hell. You WILL BE TRACKED and Razer as well as any other party that they like is now also in your face. Also remember tracking of any sort takes away previous gaming bandwidth. I would like to have thrown the mouse away after I uninstalled the software. But guess what there is no uninstall feature for the Razer software either in its bloated folder or as an uninstallable app on my new Windows 10 computer! What to do? Well I recommend you assign a restore point before plugging this mouse into your computer or better yet dont buy a Razer product at all.

> 24 hourMeh. The mouse is much more narrow than youd expect. I have small hands and my pinky finger dragged on the mousepad. But the absolute worst thing about this product is the software. To use the functionality Razer sells in this mouse, it requires installation of their Razer Synapse application, which requires the installation of a Razer Central application, which requires you to create an account with Razer. Despite my gut saying dont do it... I went ahead and did it. I installed the software on my Win10 pc and created an account. The result was 532MB spread across 8 persistent memory threads. No joke! Synapse software was consuming nearly half a gig of memory, the second highest user of memory behind Chrome browser. Totally unacceptable. Synapse app had 3 running threads. Central app had 3 running threads. Annoyingly, the chroma function (which I declined to install but was clearly installed anyway) was installed and instantiated another 2 threads. To require so much software, consuming nearly half a gig of memory, just to use a mouse, is not an injustice. It demonstrates carelessness and poor product development. Further, the account is active when the software is active thus Razer is monitoring and collecting anything you do via a browser and who knows when else. Their privacy policy was weak and all but declares your data is not going to be protected (seriously, read it to the end). The privacy policy clearly declares theyll be tracking your use of social network services (aka facebook, twitter, etc.) anytime Razer software is active, such as when you use the mouse. And since the software is mandatory... Razer be watching you at all times. Good luck with that.

> 24 hourIt fits my hand perfectly and I really like the thumb rest. All of the buttons are well-placed and easy to get to and the rubber grips on the sides keep it firmly in my hand. I do like that the clutch lever can be swapped for a smaller one or removed altogether and that the scroll wheel resistance is also adjustable. It has Chroma with adjustable effects via the Razer Synapse software but I have mine set to static green to match my BlackWidow Ultimate (2016 Edition). EDIT: After a little over 2 months of use, the rubber thumb grip on the left side is already starting to peel off. If I wouldnt have gotten it on sale ($40), Id probably be more upset about that. The mouse also kept my PC from going to sleep. I had to go into Windows 10 Device Manager and disable its ability to wake the computer (It has 4 separate entries, all 4 must have this option disabled). Im also not a big fan of the Synapse 3 software. I set my mouse lights to turn off with my monitor like my keyboard does (KB runs on Synapse 2, yeah I have to run both because 3 isnt backward compatible, it sucks...). Instead of turning off, it would go from my set static green back to color cycling. After a chat with Razer support, it turns out you have to install Synapse 3 as an Administrator to get that feature to work (I didnt have to do that with Synapse 2 for my keyboard to work though....). I did find a use for the clutch lever though. I re-mapped it to Hypershift and mapped media controls for when the lever is held so thats pretty convenient. I was also able to use Synapse 3 to calibrate the mouse to my mouse mat and customize the different DPI steps.

> 24 hourThe functionality is there and works great, fits in the hand well, however the rubber mat under the thumb came loose, and I had to superglue it down in order to correct the issue so that it does not come loose anymore, and cause issues when trying to hit the DPI clutch.
