> 3 dayNo longer live in earthquake area, but found these furniture straps to be very effective at holding a tall 7 bookcase in place. We have a baby and toddlers come and visit so it is a real safety issue to have our bookcases secure. The kit comes with everything you need for the actual mount however I recommend having your own power screwdriver and a phillips in order to complete. The kit gives two ways you can secure which is handy. We ended up just cutting off the excess after I used a our own mounting screws and anchor for the wall. For our project we had a 7 bookcase with about 75lbs worth of books on it and now it is firmly anchored into the wall. Why only 4 stars? Asthetically, the straps can look a little unflattering, however our colors (black bookcase and dark green room) masked this, however you can choose to strap behind the bookcase to hide this aspect completely; also the length of the straps almost makes you take the extra step of cutting, however it is always better to have more than less in these type of projects. Recommended.

Greater than one weekWe got some of these at Lowe’s a while back for a hutch. Loved them enough that when I went back for more and they didn’t carry them any longer, I searched them out on Amazon. Good price, sturdy, easy to install. I like the Velcro bits- makes it easy to move if needed. (My kids are older so I don’t worry about them pulling the Velcro off on shorter pieces of furniture.)

> 3 dayI think this is a good product. The hardest part is finding the studs in the wall. I only did it because I have grandchildren and I wanted to be a bit safer with book shelves and curios. This offers me a measure of comfort along with watchful eyes when there are visiting. I know that children can move fast and these straps could offer the seconds needed to get to them before something bad could happen.

> 3 dayBeware that the sticker portion adheres very securely to furniture. Ive purchased these multiple times while remodeling and adding large bookshelves/wardrobes to my house. They work incredibly well. Our floors were uneven in a nook of the house that we wanted to place bookshelves in. The bookshelves are solid wood and very heavy. After messing with the adjustable feet on the bookshelves for hours, we determined it would be foolish to not have straps attached, however level we got them. These straps immediately held the shelves firmly in place. Absolutely no rocking. We really tested by trying to tug the bookshelves forward (while one of us served as a spotter in case they fell), and they wouldnt budge. If we had children in the household, Id put these on everything. The only thing to be wary of, as mentioned, is that the sticker portion is insanely secure. Im pretty sure if I ever try to remove these, paint and wood/stain will be removed from the surface of my furniture. What I loved about these is that they work for areas where you cant easily reach in with a drill to secure a piece of furniture with screws on one side. We were able to screw the strap to the wall, because we could go in with the drill facing the wall above the bookshelves. But we would have had to remove the bookshelves from the nook if we were going to drill the other side of the strap into the tops of them, because there was not enough space between the top of the bookshelves and the ceiling to fit the drill in that direction. Using the sticky side on the bookshelves prevented us from having to pull the heavy units back out of the nook.

> 3 dayWanted to attach my board game shelf to the wall, to better quake-proof my home. Found this solution to be super easy-to-use and install. I had to borrow my dads stud finder, make marks with a pencil, and use my own drill, but other than that, it was smooth sailing. Now I have peace of mind knowing that the shelf is less likely to fall.

> 3 dayIve purchased a set of these in white and in black. The colors match pretty well and hold very well. I needed it for a piece of IKEA furniture that didnt have enough wood on the back for traditional straps. This turned out to be just as strong of a hold and didnt mess up the furniture. I also used a set on a 400 lb. gun safe to provide some extra support. I was able to climb on top (175 lbs.) and lean against the strap and it wouldnt budge. Great product that Ill continue to use.

21-11-2024These furniture straps are great for everywhere, but especially here in California. Ive bought and used many of these for a lot of heavy or tall furniture, like book cases, hutches, cabinets and I used these white color straps to attach my fridge to the wall - dont want that falling on ya when the earth is shaking! Id recommend these also for anyone with small children who can climb and knock things over. Very easy to use (best with an electric drill to get the bolt into a stud) and simple safety and insurance. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

> 3 dayStraps are ok. Need to supply adequate screws. The screws are low quality and soft metal, and the pack did not contain a 1.5“ screw. The ¾ inch ones were too shallow and the 2” ones they supplied were too long. I needed to search the basement for appropriate screws. Unnecessary headache for that price.

21-11-2024Ive tried a couple different products for anchoring furniture to the walls to protect my little munchkin from hurting herself, but these seem to work the best. Theyre a little more expensive than other options, but theyre easy to install because only one end needs to be screwed into the wall. The other side attaches to the furniture via velcro. The velcro strip is stuck to the furniture wherever you want and the strap is secured via the velcro. It is a sturdy hold as the velcro is quite strong and virtually impossible to pull apart when pulled in parallel opposite directions, yet if you want to move the furniture, you can pull the velcro off by pulling it up (or perpendicular) from the velcro.

> 3 dayThese are a strong woven strap. I used them to secure some fish tanks and book cases. I was surprised how well the adhesive side seems to work. The adhesive side is what allows these to work so well for a fish tank. J admit in do not like the look of them stuck to the glass but put them in the most discreet places I could find.
