ROXIO EASY CD & DVD

I like this program (Easy CD & DVD)! I have Windows XP and this program has the Roxio (Sonic) Express Labeler--which a is simple CD & DVD BURNING program. I do NOT like the NERO software (because of TOO MANY bells and whistles--stuff that right now I DONT NEED! Thank goodness I found the labeler I was used to I believe this used to be the Sonic Express Labeler--becase it does the same things the labeler someone else put on my computer(a HP Media Center Edition), used to do--only it had the Sonic name on it. Who needs bells and whistles of NERO? I dont! Roxio Easy CD & DVD is the one for me--and maybe you too--especially if youre frustrated with NERO and what you want is burning software without the frills of Nero. *Roxio Easy CD & DVD is it! * This program works with Lightscribe DVD/CD Writers. It is a basic easy program Who needs frills? When all you need is simple?

I purchased this after I had no luck with 123 Copy DVD (do not purchase that at all, BUYER BEWARE!). I had Roxio in the past and it is a great and fun software for making cds. I never used this software to make DVDs until now. It will not copy DVDs with encryption on it, but that isnt a problem once you download Anydvd, which is an ecryption remover. It works great now and I recommend it very much.

The program is ok thought the old Easy CD Creator was easier in use, especially in making jewelcasecovers, but im not a wizzkid so i might be wrong about this. Anyway, i dont like the program very much and rather work with Easy CD Creator 6, though i lost my code, so .......

I often read product reviews but until now Ive never written one myself. This pathetic excuse for software has finally given me the inspiration to do so. These guys did a really bad job of testing their software before releasing it. Its obviously not ready. After installing it the first time, I did manage to make two CDs but that was after two failures and one of the CDs that it did make caused my system (and my wifes) to crash. I never did get the Creator Classic to work. It gave me a failed API message whenever I tried to run it. I took Roxios advice and reinstalled the SW, but that didnt work. I went to Roxios website but there is no mention of this SW. There were some support solutions that were posted for their other SW so I tried those, but they didnt help. I downloaded a utility to see what was going on in my computer when I tried to run Creator Classic. The problem was the SW couldnt find a couple of files that should have been placed in one of the Roxio subdirectories by the installation program. Thinking that my anti-virus SW was messing up the installation, I reinstalled it again with my AV stuff turned off. The result was Creator Classic didnt give me the failed API message but it would immediately terminate itself. Perhaps the SW would install right if I had done a custom installation, but Im not going to waste any more of my time on this peice of junk. I just wish I had read some of the other reviews before buying this product from a store.

This product is not one that Roxio provides technical support for and customer support is even worse. Do not buy any Roxio product.

I bought this because I had success with Roxio products in the past. This would have to be a lot better to rise to the level of junk. It is total garbage. Dont buy!!!

I purchased this program for a mere [...] dollars, but it came with a twenty dollar store rebate (which I have not received yet) All told it should only cost me ten dollars. That is a good thing since that is all its worth. The good news for me: 1. It is simple to use and provides an easy way to burn and copy CDs 2. It does have a simple sound editor 3. It does provide an easy to use way to convert old LPs to digital files The bad news: The label portion of the program is almost totally useless! I have not found a way to import song titles. You cant change the font color. When you try to print out a CD jacket, it prints it way to big to fit in a CD case. Combine this with an awkward interface and its junk. NOW FOR THE REALLY BAD NEWS: ROXIO SUPPORT IS DREADFUL! NOT SURE ID WANT TO SPEND MONEY ON THE EXPENSIVE PROGRAM BASED ON MY EXPERIENCES.

Instant garbage. Not worth the hassle of returning. Roxio a fine software manufacturer, no longer makes or supports this version.

10/29 - got as far as crash. Tried again 10/30 and product key totally rejected. Does anybody ever succeed with Roxio Easy CD/DVD Burner?

This is an easy to use but effective program. I have used some version of it for many years. It is the best I have tried.
