Just purchased roxio easy CD&DVD burning software from Amazon. It wont install. After four tries, I keep getting a message Installation Interrupted. Roxio support is basically non-existant. Wont support product without it being registered. Cant register it because it wont install. Roxio doesnt even have a contact us tab on their web site. I looked at their manual for this product, but it has no trouble-shooting section. I have to say this product is worthless and Ive thrown my money away. Amazon, you would do well to quit selling their stuff. You have a ding with me now as well. At least Best Buy has a Geek Squad. I will buy another product from them and count this up to simple experience.

Horrible program. I read that it will burn DVDs supported by DVD players so I bought it. I couldnt import ANY of the media formats I tried. Itll let you select multiple types, but then throw an error that it cant use that format. Waste of money!

I had to install the software atleast three times, contacted the tech support, and nothing helped, the software did not work with window XP, had to uninstalle and and keep with it with other junks that I have.

This product was not compatible with the video files that I wanted to burn onto a DVD. The online product support was very lame. Ultimately, I was told I needed to upgrade to a much more expensive Roxio product in order to achieve compatibility with the video files that I wanted to burn. I wasnt offered a refund or a discount on the new product, which I ended up purchasing nonetheless.

I wish I hadnt purchased this product. Once installed I was never able to get any of the features to run because of one error after another and finally my computer froze or hungup, and I had to run my computer in safe mode to get to the program and delete it, and then run a rebuild to get my computer back to where it was before the installation, and since this, my computer boots much slower than it did before I installed this program. Ive since purchased Nero and it works much better for me, it is a bit complicated. Ive also purchased a program from Avantrix, which I appreciate as a senior citizen because the language is not lofty of complicated it is the simplest program Ive ever used, for instance if you point to a disc format that it doesnt support, it simply fades out. Most of the thinking is automatic.

I used EASY CD since version 1. The latest is a nightmare. Here is a listing of the problems that were experienced. . . 1. The program refused to install. After several unsuccessful attempts, I rebooted my computer with the installation CD in my CD/DVD reader. . 2. By the fifth reboot, the program began to install. It took over 20 minutes. . 3. Trying out the software, I activated the video player. It bombed because a file was missing. . 4. I tried the main program. The blue screen of death appeared, and I had to reboot the computer. . 5. My Windows 7 OS was destroyed as a consequence. This forced me to reformat the hard drive and re-image my boot partition. . 6. While my OS was being resurrected, I tried installing the program on a second computer. Immediately the screen went black and everything froze. I hard booted my second computer. Luckily my Windows 7 was OK and nothing was damaged. . 7. Next day, I went to the Roxio support website, read the fine print, and described the above problems on its form. This is a one-shot deal. The company only allowed one free inquiry with its tech department. Any more, the customer is forced to purchase a service plan. . 8. The reply was very interesting. Instead of sending a replacement disk or providing me an internet link to download a good copy, the technician needed time to study the case. If I wanted faster or better service, I had to purchase a support plan for a price. . This was unreal. The installation disk was bad, and the obvious solution was to replace it. There was no need to study the problem - the solution was brainless. In addition, a paid telephone conversation with a high price technician was not going to cause the defective installation disc to become good. . . It is too bad that the Amazon.com website does not allow a 0 Star rating. As a result, my 1 Star award is the best that can be given. . . . --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- . . . UPDATE . Two days later, the technician emailed a link to download a good copy of the software. The program installed without any problems. . Unfortunately, my 1 Star rating remains unchanged for these reasons. . 1. The brainless solution should not take two days to resolve. The problem was obvious - defective software. . 2. Limiting free customer service contact to one emailing is a bad business practice. It is also insulting to require the user to purchase a technical service plan if further technical support was needed. . 3. Consumers should not have to pay $35 per hour to talk to a technician by telephone. This was the companys definition of quicker and better service.

my CD music maker. I had Roxio for a long time and it never failed me. When I wish to make a CD its simple. I just wish it could put more MP3 songs on the CD without buying all new Blue Ray and Book equipment. Good buy.

Earlier versions, like 2007, I loved and it produced great photoshows. All of a sudden when I try signing in I get a message that my trial period has ended......and I paid for it a long time ago! Then I tried signing in again and I had to insert my email address and password. A message popped up telling me I could not get in. I was told to use a different browser! I found a work-around on my own but it didnt last long. Like others, I complained and got a ticket number after I chatted about an hour with online chat on how to solve my problems about not being able to get in, and then to have the program hang and hang and hang. I uninstalled it from my Windows 7, although it worked fine for a time on 7 and XP, and thought that my buying it AGAIN it might work. NOPE. Cleverbridge is the clearing house for buying many programs besides Roxio. By writing to [email protected] I quickly got a refund on my credit card. I really loved this program when it first came out and made many great photoshows, but now it really sucks and DO NOT BUY THIS PROGRAM OR ANY ROXIO PROGRAM. TECHNICAL SUPPORT WILL HAVE YOU RUNNING AROUND IN CIRCLES AND I CANT EVEN UNDERSTAND THEIR LANGUAGE, LIKE cut and paste your error message, paste it to Windows Paint (which I do not have) and there are about 30 other steps after this. I GAVE UP. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON ROXIO PRODUCTS. THEY WILL DRIVE YOU CRAZY.

I purchased this program for a mere [...] dollars, but it came with a twenty dollar store rebate (which I have not received yet) All told it should only cost me ten dollars. That is a good thing since that is all its worth. The good news for me: 1. It is simple to use and provides an easy way to burn and copy CDs 2. It does have a simple sound editor 3. It does provide an easy to use way to convert old LPs to digital files The bad news: The label portion of the program is almost totally useless! I have not found a way to import song titles. You cant change the font color. When you try to print out a CD jacket, it prints it way to big to fit in a CD case. Combine this with an awkward interface and its junk. NOW FOR THE REALLY BAD NEWS: ROXIO SUPPORT IS DREADFUL! NOT SURE ID WANT TO SPEND MONEY ON THE EXPENSIVE PROGRAM BASED ON MY EXPERIENCES.
