Noticed crescent shaped defect out of the box. I didnt notice the 2 dead pixels until a contrasting color was on screen. Im very disappointed with this mainly because this is my SECOND samsung monitor with a manufacturer defect AND dead pixels. I also recently purchased a samsung G7 32 inch (the much nicer and MORE EXPENSIVE model) and it had a line in the screen and a dead pixel. Im very disappointed in the QC with these orders.

Its a good monitor. PS5 and xbox you can at max do 120hz at 2k. And 165 HZ is ONLY AVALIABLE THROUGH THE DISPLAY PORT. I dont know about xbox, but PS5 CANNOT intreprt Display Port Signals. I even got a Disport Port to HDMI Adapter but still not signal. So dont expect 165 hz unless you can use display port.

Monitor is exactly as advertised and of course it is Samsung so the quality is top notch. This is my my first curved screen and its incredibly immersive. I personally love it. As a mostly casual gamer this screen fulfilled my needs perfectly. In order to take full advantage of the 144Hz refresh rate you should have a Display Port 1.4+ or HDMI 2.0+. If you have an older HDMI/DP version (such as myself), youll have to force it by setting the refresh rate in the monitor settings. 32 screen is a bit big for 1440p so PPI (pixels per inch) is a bit low, meaning you can see pixels if you sit too close. I havent noticed any pixelation or screen tearing personally, but hardcore gamers looking for the ultimate gaming monitor should keep looking. TL;DR If youre a casual/semi-casual gamer or someone using it for general purposes, this screen will knock your socks off. If youre a hardcore gamer: The PPI is a touch low for 1440p. Id look for a 34 @ 4k, or go with a multi monitor setup of 27 @ 4k for better PPI and smoother gaming. - To make use of the 144Hz refresh rate make sure you have a Display Port 1.4+ or HDMI 2.0+, otherwise youll need to set the refresh rate in the monitor settings. - No built in speakers (the decorative lower corners are purely visual) - Comes with HDMI cable, does NOT come with DP cable

I love this monitor! The only two minor, minor issues I have/had with it are: 1. Initially I found the type of curve to be slightly distracting. It is not a consistent curve along the full length of the monitor. Instead the curve is slightly sharper in the middle, and that curve gradually has less curve as it gets out to each left and right side of the screen. It is an intentional design, and I dont even notice that any more. 2. Occasionally(once every few weeks) there are small, very light/minor staticy interruptions horizontally across the screen. I turn power off to the monitor and then back on and issue is solved. Pretty rare, and not a major issue. I have yet to figure out what triggers it. I leave computer on for weeks, so that could be part of the reason. Great added feature: Even more space for more Chrome tabs! I am very happy with this monitor.

I did a ton of research before buying this monitor and it definitely was worth the purchase but one thing I want to say is the stand is very cheap, it’s very squeaky and wobbly and actually kinda keeps the monitor at a lopsided stance, for this price you would think that they maybe would have put a little more effort into it, I mean it’s literally a push and a twist to get the stand on, so if you’re gonna buy this monitor I recommend getting a wall mount for it, but over all it’s great for gaming by far one of the most impressive performance monitor I’ve bought but yeah the stand is kinda bs.

I didnt know what to expect because this would be my first curved monitor. I have to say, that once I put it in place, turned it on, and started using it I was impressed. It took me a few days to get used to it. It is different. But once I got to work, I work from home, and by the end of the day, it was good to go. For games like FO76 and FS2020...oh my gosh...perfect. For Word and Excell and searching the web, it is impressive. I usually get Samsung for my TVs so this was the first Samsung computer monitor. Samsung, in my experience, has always had a nice crystal, crisp coloring presentation. This one did not disappoint me. I am totally impressed with this monitor.

I really enjoy the monitor itself, however the manufactures made big mistake with original stand is glaring. Along with the purchase of this monitor I also bought a swing arm mount to use instead on the original stand. I first assembled the monitor and validated that it was working. See that everything was working i removed the original stem and legs and I then mounted it on the new swing arm.. At this point the monitor would no longer turn on. I contacted vendor support via chat to troubleshoot (which was limited to the basics of is it plugged in, didnt you use the right button, etc..) After unsuccessful chat, I requested an exchanged, which Amazon getting high marks for. Upon reciept of replacement, to my surprise, this one doesnt come on either. I decided too try a hunch and was amazed and dishearten to find that the original stands stem has to be attached!!! This is total nonsense!! Its looks like crap! I had expected more from Samsung!

I played cyberpunk 2077, everspace 2, Rust, valorant and several other games on this monitor and I didnt experience any of the ghosting that the other reviews complained about. I did a ghosting test online and it was negligible at best. This monitor is the best Ive ever had, I put an ergonomic monitor vesa mount to make this thing rotate and line up perfectly with my head to remove neck cramps from looking up too much. The monitor stand it came with was flimsy but not terrible, however I dont use it now that I have the vesa mount. Ive watched several movies on this with Plex and the auto aspect ratio is actually pretty decent which is surprising considering most movies have black bars to create the right ratio. Playing games in this thing is very immersive. The refresh rate is great with 165hz, and little customizing is needed out of the box to get it just right. With a high end graphics card like from Nvideas RTX line, you cant go wrong. Im using an Nvidiea RTX 2070 super and this thing looks great. I even use it with my Mac Pro 2013 model and it also looks great, and it auto changes the display correctly so Windows or Mac this thing looks great. No more need for dual screens, just open two windows and put them side by side, its essentially the same thing, but now theres no plastic bar inbetween the two screens, just one seemless experience. If you are looking for the best monitor screen, I think this is it so far, especially price wise. I know there are better monitors that exist with better specs or bigger sizes, but this is really all the retail space youll ever need. I even find myself using it for movies, even though I have a 55 inch Samsung 4kHDTV which is surprising. Dont believe the haters, just get it and return it if you dont like it, but I think this is definitely a solid product that you will enjoy for years to come, and Samsung is a great company, great customer service, and high build qualities that last for a decade or more.

I ordered the g50a 2022 refresh for $347 including tax. I saw that Amazon has these monitors listed completely wrong because I ordered a curved qhd 165hz monitor and the g50a doesnt have a curved option on the Samsung website. I looked up the serial number that was on the box when it got here and it showed a g5 that costs $500+ so I got a pretty damn good deal.

i gave 5 stars because that is the rating this monitor deserves... the seller, not so much... it took a while, but i finally understood the difference between QHD and 4K.... in laymens terms, QHD (1440p) is NOT the same as 4K (2160p)... the sellers sales pitch made it seem like QHD and 4K are the same thing... this monitor is QHD, and i bought it thinking it was 4K... also, this monitor only costs $400, and a samsung actual 4k monitor with the same features and specs as this one costs $900+. which begs the question: where does the extra $500 go??? why is there such a BIG difference in price between QHD and 4K?? anyways, this is a great monitor, but i can really do without the trickery from the seller...

When it comes to gamer performance, the slightest disadvantage can be the difference between winning and losing a match. With a 165Hz refresh rate, lightning fast 1ms (GTG) response time and AMD FreeSync Premium support, you can be sure that the Odyssey G55A Gaming Monitor won’t let you down on the battlefield. Awe-inspiring graphics with HDR10 uncover the secrets hiding in the shadows with deep dark blacks, luminous whites, and outstandingly detailed resolution. WQHD packs in 1.7x pixel density of Full HD for detailed, pin-sharp, lifelike images. The monitor’s futuristic design looks attractive in any desktop setting.
