> 3 dayIf anyone was looking into getting a new monitor, whether it be for a first-time desktop user or a long-awaited upgrade, this is a perfect choice. But there are some important flaws that I would like to point out. First of which is the stand. It is not the type of monitor to have the ability to vertically adjust. You are only restricted to adjusting the angle on the x-axis. Second, the instructions are clear but lack a lot of important details. To my knowledge, it doesnt once say you have to change the refresh rate through its menu. I later found out there was a more advanced guide on google if you just search it up. Im only putting this here because of the inconvenience. The third and final is the amount of space this monitor takes up. I luckily have a very big workspace so I have no problems when it comes to finding space for this monitor. But, if you currently use a small desk something around the dimensions of 28 3/4x19 5/8 or close then you might want to invest in a monitor arm. The base for the monitor is unnecessarily long, so having a small desk can bring up slight annoyances. Those three flaws are the only problems Ive experienced so far. Thanks for listening to my TED Talk.

> 3 dayPerfect for gaming. The deep curve and 165 Hz are the two biggest benefits for me. Games look crisp, and I can now see details that I never noticed before. You will want a decent video card to drive this monitor to its full potential. I use an RTX 3060 Ti and it works great.

> 3 dayIt is a great monitor, and the price was pretty good. My older son has a larger monitor, which I like a lot better, but it was quite a bit more expensive. Overall, it is a good value.

> 3 dayThe monitor was great, for the time that I had it but I have a cautionary take for you if you get one and it arrives with an issue like mine did. Also just as a side note I do not normally write reviews. So, my monitor arrived and all was well. Put it on my triple monitor arm and started to use it, it was so nice and I liked it a lot. After I was done I went to bed but in the morning when I woke up half of the screen was dark, the back light died/was dying. I ask amazon if I can exchange it for a new one and they said no, but Samsung can repair it for you for free! WOW! So I send my monitor to samsung, this was on 3/6/2021. After WEEKS of waiting I get told yeah we arent going to fix your monitor OR send you a new one, we are just going to refund you. After more time of waiting I just wanted the monitor again so I bought the monitor again before ever seeing my money back from samsung. I just got my money back in my account today, 4/27/2021. Almost 2 full months for a simple refund, if I knew it was going to be a refund to begin with I would have just returned it to amazon and gotten my money back 2 months ago. TL;DR : DO NOT SEND INTO SAMSUNG FOR REPAIR OF YOUR PRODUCT, if you bought it from amazon just return it to amazon.

> 3 dayThis monitor, the G5, is a huge upgrade from my old ASUS VS228. The 144hz is smooth and makes games feel much more responsive (when I can run them that well). The FreeSync works with GSync on my GTX 1660 Super, and makes everything feel even smoother. It gets plenty bright, and the configuration menus are very easy to navigate with the fairly intuitive power button/navigation stick. I was definitely confused from the reviews here before. The G7 reviews are also available on this page, which is not often made clear. There is no LED on the back of the G5, just the small light by the power button to indicate on/off working modes. The HDR is honestly lackluster. It does provide a slightly higher dynamic range and makes available things like HDR-compatible YouTube videos, but it washes out lots of the colors. Everything will generally look better if you just keep HDR off in Windows settings. The reviews I’ve seen here seem to indicate that the HDR on the G7 is much nicer, so I’ll be considering upgrading to that when I can. Overall, this is a great choice for people looking for 1440p or 144hz gaming/content. This monitor does of course have flaws, and it can be frustrating to find out what those are through the disorganized reviews here. Hopefully you see this review and it sheds some more light on this product!

> 3 daySince buying this monitor it has proven to be a bit glitchy. It has at times not wanted to turn on causing my MoBo to give a VGA alarm/light. At first I thought it was my new video card, so I swapped it out to my old one and got the same alarm, put the new one back in then started messing with the power button on the monitor. Surprise everything is working fine again. Other than that glitch, I love this monitor, and will never return to a normal flat panel again. While gaming it has given me ZERO problems. No screen tearing, no vsync issues, and my frame rates have been very stable. Even my 3DMark scores have been out of this world for a stock clocked PC. Win 10 Pro 20H2 Asus ROG Stryx X570E mobo Ryzon 7 3800X cpu 32GB of Corsair ram Saphire 6700xt Nitro+ video card Update: After downloading then installing the 1006.0 firmware update from samsung all of the glitchy behavior has gone away. No more alarms, no more flickering with certain apps, and the power button now works properly.

> 3 dayWhile the screen had a scratch on it, however it did not affect picture. Setup was easy. Took too long to ship. Picture quality was great. I did not see any dead pixels.

Greater than one weekMonitor is exactly as advertised and of course it is Samsung so the quality is top notch. This is my my first curved screen and its incredibly immersive. I personally love it. As a mostly casual gamer this screen fulfilled my needs perfectly. In order to take full advantage of the 144Hz refresh rate you should have a Display Port 1.4+ or HDMI 2.0+. If you have an older HDMI/DP version (such as myself), youll have to force it by setting the refresh rate in the monitor settings. 32 screen is a bit big for 1440p so PPI (pixels per inch) is a bit low, meaning you can see pixels if you sit too close. I havent noticed any pixelation or screen tearing personally, but hardcore gamers looking for the ultimate gaming monitor should keep looking. TL;DR If youre a casual/semi-casual gamer or someone using it for general purposes, this screen will knock your socks off. If youre a hardcore gamer: The PPI is a touch low for 1440p. Id look for a 34 @ 4k, or go with a multi monitor setup of 27 @ 4k for better PPI and smoother gaming. - To make use of the 144Hz refresh rate make sure you have a Display Port 1.4+ or HDMI 2.0+, otherwise youll need to set the refresh rate in the monitor settings. - No built in speakers (the decorative lower corners are purely visual) - Comes with HDMI cable, does NOT come with DP cable

> 3 dayOverall great monitor, good price (I paid $345 if youre patient youll get it at this price), 1440P, 144Hz, not too heavy, curve isnt that bad once you get used to it but it will feel strange for a while. My only gripe is one single dead pixel, which honestly sucks but isnt the end of the world in a 1440P monitor where pixels feel so small however on solid color screens (especially white) I can always find it (because I know its there) other people may not even notice it honestly. Not worth taking off a star over one dead pixel (Screen is 6 months old now) overall happy with the monitor for the price I paid.
