> 24 hourFinally decided to upgrade my 2 year old gaming laptop from 500gb to 1tb. Bought this drive based on reviews and ease of install. Plugged into my hard drive docking station, initialized and formatted. Drive showed up for use, opened up their data management tool, selected the drive and starting migration. 30 seconds later the drive disconnects and the migration hangs. Zero movement after 10 mins of letting it sit. My laptop is not slow, Im transferring from an ssd.

These EVO series of drives are typically not the cheapest, but the peace of mind that they provide to me when Im replacing a clients drive, is real value. In the consumer space, I buy Samsung SSDs because of their reputation for reliability, performance, and easy to use support software for cloning and maintenance/monitoring. Samsung set the standard. Buying these SSDs lessens my concerns about a critical part of my, and my clients computers.

All the expected speed increases were there and no bugs showed up. After a year of use its lost a little bit of its zip. Not clear if its the drive just getting messy or its something else. Still a good product and I would buy it again

Naturally the boot up for Linux was slower than I wanted. Replacing my old hard drive with this new SSD made the boot up almost instant. I could not be more pleased!

> 24 hourThis drive went corrupt/failed after 1 year of use. Lost data. Never again. I will be pulling all these from our desktop workstations within my company. We cannot risk losing data. Do some google research on this drive. Known issues! Yet nothing is done about it.
