Greater than one weekthe drive is prone to corruption and read errors that can cause permanent data loss. mine started to have issues after 6 months of use. samsung warranty makes it so you have to buy another drive while your drive is being serviced and you will likely receive a refurbished one in return.

Compared to my previous similar drive, its around 3-4 times faster and much more reliable. Also the Samsung software that you can use with it keeps it up-to-date and in peak performance. Totally worth it even if the price is slightly higher than other options.
