> 3 dayA friend of mine bought and installed this for me when my HD was making odd noises a few months ago. The change in start up time is phenomenal! It is a very fast and quiet HD. I havent had any trouble with it and it doesnt clog down like the other. Also recommended to install the appropriate Magician software to keep it cleaned up from junk regularly - is freeware.

> 3 dayCould not have had a better purchase to improve the performance of my older laptop computer. Boots up in a fraction of the time that it used to with the conventional hard drive. Programs now load in a blink of an eye. Finds and opens data files way faster!!! No negatives to this purchase. Cloning the old hard drive to this new SSD drive, using Samsungs cloning software, was super easy and worked perfectly.

> 3 dayIve upgraded 8 PCs with 1TB SSDs thus far. 1 Samsung 870 EVO, 1 SK HYNIX S31 and 6 Crucial MX500s. The SK Hynix had disk performance about equal to the Crucial, a price slightly higher than the Crucial and an easy to use and yet the slowest Macrium clone software(10+ hours). The Samsung had the best disk performance, highest price and the most troublesome clone software. Kept getting Samsung Data Migration interrupted for an unknown reason. Eventually had to shrink the partition sizes to get it to clone in about 2 hours. I had cloned this same PC onto a Crucial MX500 1TB earlier that week quickly without issue. The Crucial MX500 had performance just behind Samsung, the best price and easiest and the fastest Acronis clone software(around 1 hour). The Crucial Acronis software puts a lot of extra software on your PC and you may want to uninstall if you dont want it on your system.Ive upgraded 8 PCs with 1TB SSDs thus far. 1 Samsung 870 EVO, 1 SK HYNIX S31 and 6 Crucial MX500s. I am the IT manager for a manufacturing company and maintain around 40 Windows PCs.

> 3 dayLos buses de datos de los iMacs antiguos son mejores que lo que puede soportar con los discos de estado mecanico que traen, al cambiar el disco duro por este Samsung EVO especificamente, aprovecha mejor sus caraccteristicas que con discos de otras marcas.

> 3 dayTech support terrible. After a lot of trying to get help with this they supplied a “refurbished” drive which I am afraid to ever use.

> 3 dayThis product is great, I just wish it was more visible on the page that I needed to get a SATA cable to install it, as I intend on keeping my old SSD in addition to this one

> 3 dayI replaced the HDD in an HP computer. It was an amazing boost in performance. No problem at there. The install was simple. I have done the same with other computers. It is now about a week less than 2 years past installation. Samsung Magician is now reporting 2 ECC critical errors. I called Samsung. It took longer going through their menu ladder that it took with the service rep. He asked where I bought it. When I said Amazon, he ask if I lived in Texas to which I confirmed my address. He said I would receive an email with info about how to return the drive. Unfortunately they do not cross ship. So I would be without the drive until they receive it (their UPS label), attempt repairs, and then send a replacement. It has a 5 year warranty but after 90 days, they will replace with a refurbished unit. This isnt really helpful.
