> 3 dayThere are a lot of variables that affect the read/write speed of this flash drive in any particular PC. Drivers, internal USB firmware, etc., etc. Nevertheless, after several months, Ive found that the drive is consistently much faster than any 2.0 flash drive and, in the latest model PC/laptops with SSD drives, the transfer speed can be very impressive. According to the file transfer utilities, I consistently see read speeds of 200MB/s and, depending on file size, write speeds up to 30MB/s. However, we are becoming spoiled with high speed networks and SSDs in our systems so, even with its faster speed, you might not think the performance is all that impressive. Just keep in mind that, for the money, youre not going to find a drive that is larger, faster, tougher or better designed for plugging and unplugging.

> 3 dayThe usb looks amazing. But it got hot on use, really hot. I dropped it cause in my head I thought I was going to burn myself (not the case). I tested it a few times before deciding to return it. Waited 1 min 30 secs after use for it to cool to normal usb temp (no equipment used). Tested in 30 second intervals via touch. It looked amazing though. Thats what made me contemplate keeping it. It wasnt going to cause damage via burns and once you know it gets hot, the shock value goes away some.

> 3 dayI use this Samsung flash drive to store all my documents and files, and it seems to do a very good job, never had any problems with it. It works very well on my Windows 10 laptop that has USB 3. 0 ports, and it also works very well on my Windows 8. 1 laptop that has USB 2. 0 ports. I like the fact that it is cased in metal, it seems to be very durable and hopefully it will be reliable and last a long time.

> 3 daySo Ive had a metal kingston 16gb for a while. It was 2.0 and I realized now that all my usb ports are 3.1 I should upgrade not only the size but speed. While I might not be achieving 200mb/sec like it claims, I did see about 170mb/sec which is screaming fast compared to what Im used to. I do like that the keyring area is a bit thicker and feels beefy.

> 3 dayGreat little flash drive. My only problem and it isnt really a problem is; its hard to hold. Its very small and slippery so putting it into a usb port at any angle is just frustrating. But other than that its a great little drive.

> 3 dayI ordered this Samsung Bar Plus 32 GB drive after watching a YouTube video review stating this flash drive was the best one to buy to use with UNRAID. It was working fine for 7 months until it died on me. Luckily I just ordered a new Samsung Bar Plus 32GB so I had a replacement to get my UNRAID server back up and running. I will update this review depending on how long the new one lasts. I may have to go back to buying Patriot flash drives. I ordered a Patriot Supersonic Rage 2 on March 2, 2016, and its still going strong after 5 years of reading and writing more data than the Samsung Bar Plus ever did.

> 3 day(32gb stick) Disappointing. On a USB 3.0 port, I got reads at 205 MB/s (ok), but writes were only 23 MB/s! My cheaper 16gb Sandisk 3.0 stick was 60% faster. The write speed was also very erratic, starting fast then almost stopping then going up and down, while the Sandisk was flat and steady from the getgo. On a USB 2.0 port, it was worse. 31 MB/s reads (ok) but only 12 MB/s writes, and again with the erratic up and down speed. The cheaper Sandisk was 30% faster, and steady, on writes. It’s as if Samsung went out of their way to optimize read speed (to tout) at the expense of everything else. This isn’t a CD-ROM, so most people I imagine will need to write as much as they read (like when transferring files from one computer to another), making this drive slow overall. All-metal: It looks really nice, but I don’t need a metal object with sharp points in my pocket (whose idea was that). It is also very hard to insert and remove; my whole PC moves, and I’m afraid I will eventually damage the port. I think this is a problem with all-metal flash drives; I think they have to be stronger, and therefore stiffer, since there is no protective cover, which makes for a tighter fit. I will avoid these in the future.

> 3 dayThese 32gb usb sticks work fine, and they look futuristic with their slick metal design. Trouble is, they are so slick they are hard to grip and the shiny metal surface is quite slippery. It makes them a little difficult to insert and remove from the usb connector.

> 3 dayI dont know anything about the exact speeds, but for normal use it was perfect for installing Windows 10 and then adding all the extra drivers needed for a new computer build. Added and transferred files just fine for normal use.

> 3 dayIve now purchased 5 of these Samsung flash drives, and have never had an issue with them. I have a flash drive input in my car, and Ive had issues with other brands, to where I cant access my music- even though I can see the files- but have never had that issue with these. Ive used them for music. video and for document storage with work ... always works great transferring from Mac to Mac and Mac to PC.
