> 3 dayThere are a lot of variables that affect the read/write speed of this flash drive in any particular PC. Drivers, internal USB firmware, etc., etc. Nevertheless, after several months, Ive found that the drive is consistently much faster than any 2.0 flash drive and, in the latest model PC/laptops with SSD drives, the transfer speed can be very impressive. According to the file transfer utilities, I consistently see read speeds of 200MB/s and, depending on file size, write speeds up to 30MB/s. However, we are becoming spoiled with high speed networks and SSDs in our systems so, even with its faster speed, you might not think the performance is all that impressive. Just keep in mind that, for the money, youre not going to find a drive that is larger, faster, tougher or better designed for plugging and unplugging.

> 3 dayPerfectly designed for its purpose. Extremely durable and pretty fast. No complaints at all as it does exactly what it advertises. Highly recommend.

> 3 dayThis product seems like a lot of bang for your buck! It is VERY fast to download. It feels like a solid piece of metal in your hand and I have never had any issues with placing it in the USB slot on the computer (no struggling to line it up like some other USB inputs). I work with geospatial data that is sometimes very large, and this USB still has room to go! It is also much smaller than you would imagine and fits on my keyring very unobtrusively. My only recommendation/wish would be some sort of cap/plug for the UBS opening where all the connections are, to protect it better when its on my keyring.

Greater than one weekI have used a few different capacities in this model flash drive and have yet to have a problem. Theyre faster than others I have used, they work reliably and they are the right size to feel good in the hand so you easily know which way they go and can insert or remove them easily. The little loop hole is great for attaching to a key chain or lanyard so you never lose your drive. These are a bit more pricey than other brands but you get what you pay for, Ive used some no-name ones and they end up breaking too soon or dont have the capacity they claim and are certainly slower than I want. Just get these good ones and youll not regret it.

> 3 dayUSB flash drives 3.0 or 3.1 are night and day compared to the original USB or USB 2.0 drives. I recently transferred nearly 200 gigs of data, files, movies, music, and pics from an old computer to a new one. It was effortless with this new USB 3.1 and took a relative few minutes compared to the hours the original USB drives would have taken. Ive ordered three more.

> 3 dayPros: * Durable metal casing, sealed; should be water-proof * Small footprint * Fast read speed; quick write speed (USB 3.1) * Has hole to put on keyring Cons: * Very slippery surface; it keeps squirting out of my hand * Very tight Socket; youll have to really work to get it in and out of USB ports * No cover; one has to be mindful of debris contaminating the socket. I knocked off a star for the tight socket issue; it has been very frustrating.

> 3 dayI received this drive less than 1 hour after ordering it. The drive was smaller than I had expected. I like the distinctive look to distinguish it from my other flash drives of less capacity. I used it to copy many of the files and photos (26.4 GB) from my old computer, and will transfer some of the files to my new computer, or to OneDrive. I was pleased by how quickly the information copied to the flash drive.

> 3 dayIn typical USB fashion, this drive easily hits 200MB/s, but only in its read speed. Which is to be expected, manufacturers have done this for years. What I didnt enjoy was the fact that the random write appears to be so abysmal, averaging about 20MB/s. If you can manage to write sequentially to the drive youll get better performance but chances are youre using File Explorer in Windows or Finder in Mac, both of which typically dont ever write sequentially. Still, its a fairly priced drive and I cant be upset at that, the $8 I paid is right in line with the speeds I would receive.

> 3 dayIve now purchased 5 of these Samsung flash drives, and have never had an issue with them. I have a flash drive input in my car, and Ive had issues with other brands, to where I cant access my music- even though I can see the files- but have never had that issue with these. Ive used them for music. video and for document storage with work ... always works great transferring from Mac to Mac and Mac to PC.
