> 3 dayLet me say that this has an amazing design. it is not clunky and gives a nice feel. this was pretty cheap (32g) and let myself transfer over 1k photos to the device. Sadly it dropped heavily and inconsistent for the next half of the transfer time . If you want top speed, look somewhere else. If you want a device that looks/feels great with mediocre speeds , go for this.

> 3 dayIm using a MacBook Pro on OS 10.12 Got the drive for $9 on Amazon. Write speeds when copying large (1GB+) files over is averaging right around 24 MB/s Read Speeds are about 175MB to 180MB/sec Didnt test with small files, but typically those speeds are worse. Given that its only 9 bucks, pretty good performance. Not thrilled with the slow write speeds, since that primary use case. (Store something quickly and go. )

> 3 dayI own a lot of these, havent ever ran into any trouble other than occupationally some of them overheat while doing large rights to them. I dont tend to stress them after I write things to them they tend to just sit around and get read after once in a while, which means read speed is the only thing that really matters to me, and they have pretty good read speed.

> 3 dayI previously had a bad batch that failed three times, however some time later I decided to take some chances and order some more, and I have not been disappointed. Ive had two for nearly a year and they havent failed me yet, despite installing countless OSes from them. Theyre fast, too, but they do get a bit warm.

> 3 dayGreat little flash drive. My only problem and it isnt really a problem is; its hard to hold. Its very small and slippery so putting it into a usb port at any angle is just frustrating. But other than that its a great little drive.

> 3 dayThis thing gets very hot within a couple minutes of being plugged in. I cant say how this will effect long term performance since Ive only had it a few days, but I do find it concerning.

> 3 dayThere are a lot of variables that affect the read/write speed of this flash drive in any particular PC. Drivers, internal USB firmware, etc., etc. Nevertheless, after several months, Ive found that the drive is consistently much faster than any 2.0 flash drive and, in the latest model PC/laptops with SSD drives, the transfer speed can be very impressive. According to the file transfer utilities, I consistently see read speeds of 200MB/s and, depending on file size, write speeds up to 30MB/s. However, we are becoming spoiled with high speed networks and SSDs in our systems so, even with its faster speed, you might not think the performance is all that impressive. Just keep in mind that, for the money, youre not going to find a drive that is larger, faster, tougher or better designed for plugging and unplugging.

> 3 dayI bought this usb drive (32 gb version) because I need one on my keyring in case if I dont have my external hard drive or laptop with me. And probably its a best flash drive for this purpose. It looks durable - just one solid piece of metal. Water, shock, magnet, temperature and x-ray proof with 5 years of warranty. I dont have usb 3.1 yet - but I tested it with 2.0 and 3.0 - see attached pictures. Im sure writing speed with 3.1 will be much faster.

Greater than one weekSamsung Bar Plus 32GB drive is a looker, theres no questions about it. It looks better than any USB drive I had. Its well made and compact (at the same time not being too tiny so its hard to plug-in/out or easy to lose) so that it wont obstruct any USB ports around it. Its great value. Then I compared it with my Lexar (L) S74 64GB drive (yes, usually the higher capacity drives will have higher speeds) to see if this uses USB 3.1 bandwidth properly. L drive in terms of looks is quite opposite of the Samsung Bar Plus. L is bulky, has brash colors, plasticy,... But speeds-wise, its a different story. Samsungs read speed is nearing twice as much as L (well, +60% to be more accurate) at ~224MB/s compared to ~140MB/s of Lexar. But, Ls writing speed is ~100MB/s, which is about three-times higher than Samsungs ~34MB/s. At least for me it does not make sense to have so high reading speed while sacrificing 3x writing speed. For regular work its better have balanced read & write speeds. TBH Samsungs 34MB/s is not bad for a cheap drive, and maybe fine for normal tasks (unless youre in a hurry :-D). Too bad Samsung didnt use the USB 3.1 bandwidth properly (probably due to cost factors). See the images for more detailed speed comparison. All tests were done on same PC, same port (and same conditions as much as possible).

> 3 dayUsed it for a windows 10 install, my girl accidentally threw it in the washer machine as it was in my shorts pockets. It survived and I was able to use it to complete the installation. Durable product and also was pretty fast, dont know what the other nerds are talking about.
