> 3 dayI used this SSD to uograde a 32gb emcc on my wifes hp notebook. It was a brand new laptop purchased in 2016. Windows needed to be upgraded but it wouldnt do it due to the lack of space. Removed the emcc, installed the SSD along with windowns 10 installed on a flash drive and it loaded right up. No problems since.

Greater than one weekIm running the Samsung 860 EVO 4TB SSD inside an OWC Mercury Pro Quad JBOD 4 bay enclosure along with a pair of WD 10TB drives attached to a Dell XPS 17 laptop. Im not doing a lot of heavy read / write activity from the SSD device but when I need to access my music and other less frequently used files not stored on NVME this performs well. Im getting 552MB read and 507MB write performance (see attached CrystalDiskMark test). Ive used other Samsung SSDs in the fast and they have always worked well for me.

> 3 dayExactly what expected. Easy to install and set up. The performance of my MacBook Pro Mid 2012 increased in a very significant way, just like new.

> 3 dayIf your motherboard is using the AMD SB950 chip to control SATA, you should avoid this drive. I ordered one for my wife (she runs a different chipset) and its fine. So I ordered another for my PC, which uses an ASUS M5A99X R2.0 motherboard with the SB950 controller. I was getting random hangs that would freeze the computer, and then come back a minute or so later. So I ordered a replacement and same problem. After countless hours of troubleshooting and research, I finally came across a thread on a forum talking about this drives compatibility issues with the SB950 controller. So to confirm, I tried using it with an ASUS M5A97 motherboard that uses the same SB950 chip, and wouldnt you know it, same problem with both drives.
