Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E1T0B/AM)

I have not found anything to dislike about this product. Installation was a snap. Hardest thing was getting to the hard drive in my laptop. But thats a manufacturers issue of the laptop, not the SSD drive. But with the help of Google it simplified the issue. The speed of Win 10 startup so so fast, I thought I was back using 7 again ! Are here less expensive SSD drives out there...sure, but why mess with success? This is my 3rd Samsung SSD drive. Now all my computers have SSD drives in them.

I put this in my ps4 pro and it was a big difference. The only hard thing was formatting it because sony website instructions are not that clear on the reinstall But eventually I figured it out and can complete with the big boys.

For the unknowning like myself, you have to format the drive after you install it. Then your computer will read it and see it.

Bought this after a hard drive crashed. The 860 EVO is not top performance, but it does the job consistently. SSDs are a great mid-tier way to improve gaming and graphic/video editing capability. This level of solid state hard drives are all pretty much similar in terms of speed and price per gigabyte. What makes this hard drive better is the Samsung data migration tool. It makes replicating the replacement drive super simple. You dont have to buy extra software or put your partitioning skills to the test. Just follow the instructions and youll be set.

I like free stuff Samsung. Thanks for making great drives.

Good quality memory good price

Only 4 stars because Samsung makes it notoriously difficult to to clone the drive. Youll need a SATA usb connector which will most likely prevent the Samsung migration software from recognizing the drive as a qualifying Samsung drive. Its absolutely frustrating. There are plenty other software available that will do the cloning effortlessly. Once its done. the drive is FAST! Laptop loads in 20-25 seconds and apps load in 2-5 secs. amazing!

I love Samsung products. As my opinion and experience Samsung SSD is the best in the market because it has 5 Years warranty and my older SSD 840 Pro is working more than 5 Years. I believe this newer model will work much longer.

Weve been nursing a recently purchased but failing Crucial 1T CT1000MX500SSD1 SSD until this Samsung EVO dropped in price. Happy Consumer Encouragement Day! The price dropped and the BUY IT!!! button got mashed. Now we can hopefully RMA the Crucial.

I was replacing the battery in my 2009 MacBook Pro when heard a grinding noise coming from my HD. After a little research I decided to upgrade from a mechanical HD to a SSD one. While it did cost about $50 more than a similar size mechanical one (500 GB), I thought it would be worth is. Nothing to wear out and less draw from the battery since there isnt a motor constantly spinning. I couldnt be more pleased with the results. I measured the speed of both HDs, and the SSD is 400% faster. It makes loading any program almost instantous. If I was on a budget I could have gone with a similar replacement for $22-25 but the $72.99 I paid in late 2018 is well worth it! Its so simple to replace it isnt even a concern. There are plenty of YouTube videos to walk you through it.
