> 3 dayI upgraded a used Dell from work with one of these, and installed Linux Mint without any issues. Its nice not hearing the HDD and even nicer not to have to worry about shocks during travel. I expect battery life to improve with this, too. Small but noticeable speed improvement as well.

16-11-2024This is my first time buying an SSD, Im really happy I purchased this item, Ive no problems as of yet but I see the big difference with my old HDD. Samsung SSD is very fast and reliable drive.

> 3 dayI use it for my operating system and storage. I can surely say my computer is running much faster than my previous mechanical drive. So far I havent experienced any problem or any data loss with the drive after using it for several months now so Im pretty satisfied with it.

> 3 dayComputer noob, this was really easy to install, Samsung Magician is easy to use as well. Copied my hd using Macrium Reflect. My computer boots 10x faster. From the moment I hit the power button to being on the internet has to be less than 20 seconds.

I only buy Samsung SSDs even when they cost slightly more, because only Samsung include disk cloning software that works reliably, and because Samsungs QA (quality assurance / testing) ensures that you never get a dud. The 860 is supposed to be very slightly faster than the 850 it supersedes, but with improved long-term reliability.
