> 3 dayReplaced HD with this Samsung SSD drive in a HP laptop. Did a speed RW test on original with a 57 result. New speed result is now a 557. WOW. Used NTI SSD & Hard Disk Drive Cloning Kit to clone original drive. No problems on 1st boot. Budget allowed me the 500 GB to install but, wish I got he 1 TB drive instead (movie lover).

> 3 dayI am using this to dual boot Ubuntu on my windows desktop. SSD prices have been dropping a lot and this was very worth it for 500GB. I have used the EVOs for many years and keep buying because of the performance. Highly recommended.

Greater than one weekThis SSD has made my laptop quicker than new. My laptop is about 6 years old (Samsung ATIV Book 8), and it was getting very slow with its HDD. At its worst, it would take 20 - 30 minutes to go from shutdown to normal responsiveness, and being able to reasonably do anything online.

> 3 daySamsung is known for making fast, reliable storage devices. The fact that you can get an SSD from a top tier manufacturer for this price is astonishing. If youre between this and the 970 QVO, get this as the QVO is a lower level, budget storage despite being next generation.

> 3 dayI updated my HP 2000 Notebook PC laptop HDD for this SSD for only $78! MUCH FASTER performance and gave the laptop a few more years of use! I would suggest to also maximize your RAM as well (I maxed out mine at 8GB RAM previously). Simple swap anyone can do following a few videos on YouTube. Remember to buy a SATA to USB Adapter to migrate data from your old HDD! I bought mine here on Amazon (cheap) that works perfectly :
