06-06-2025Pros: Speakers Ports on back of monitor (especially the headphone port) 75hz refresh rate 5ms response time Beautiful picture Sturdy feel Wall mountable Cons: Height is not adjustable I sometimes wish the screen could be tilted down just a tad further (I like to lay in bed and watch movies) Ive had this monitor for 2 weeks now and I am seriously loving it. I honestly dont think you could find a monitor with as many features as this one for the same price. I built myself a PC about 3 weeks ago, and I thought I would not need a monitor as I had both an old TV and an old monitor laying around the house. Unfortunately, after hooking everything up I hated them both! They really looked quite awful. So I went ahead and looked for a monitor. I really didnt want to have to buy speakers (because who wants ANOTHER added expense?) and I hate wearing headphones because they usually feel uncomfortable after about an hour (Ive tried loads of designs... I guess I just have sensitive ears). So, this monitor was the perfect solution. For just under 100$ (I believe I paid $88), you get a full HD monitor equipped with built-in speakers, 2 HDMI ports, a VGA port, an audio in port, an audio out port (so yes, you can plug headphones directly into the monitor if you like! A great feature considering most headphone cords arent long enough to reach the port on the actual PC tower), and of course, the DC-in port for the power. I actually bought this monitor FOR the speakers, something that many reviewers advised against. However, I am quite pleased. If youre an audiophile or you plan to listen to a lot of music, then perhaps you wont be happy with the speakers. However, I enjoy them for a myriad of activities. I do use them to listen to music, but also a lot for watching YouTube/Facebook videos and streaming TV shows and movies. I personally havent noticed any buzzing and the sound quality seems pretty good to me. Maybe Im not very picky, or maybe the other reviewers have been VERY picky, but the speakers are really nice to have in my opinion. This monitor is also capable of 75hz refresh rate rather than the basic 60 youll get on most budget monitors, so if you are a gamer, you can achieve a bit higher of fps than you would with other monitors of the same price. Ive not played games at more than like 30fps (until now), so I cant vouch for whether or not 75 noticeably better than 60 or not. Either way, the games I have played on this monitor so far (Tera and Revelation Online) have looked beautiful. The picture looks great and setup was incredibly easy. Just plug it in and thats pretty much it. The default settings looked good to me, so I just left it that way, but changes are made easily enough via the buttons on the back of the monitor. Some people were griping about this, especially the fact that the power button is on the back, but I dont really find this inconvenient. The power button actually feels different than all the others (it has a little bump) and it is furthest to the bottom, so its VERY easy to locate by touch. I would say this monitor is definitely worth the money!

> 3 dayThis Sceptre monitor has a clear, sharp picture and is just what I needed as a monitor for my desktop computer. However, the speakers are cheap, tinny, and barely usable. Full 100% volume is needed to hear anything at all from them, and any bass notes are nonexistent. If you need speakers with your monitor, get a different monitor. I have a laptop with stereo speakers, so I know good sound is possible in a small package. Sceptre just chose to put the cheapest speaker in this monitor. I will need to buy speakers for my computer now. One more note: the manual mentions off-line use to check out brightness and other monitor features by using the buttons on the back of the machine - but they do NOT work until the monitor is up and running with a computer. Hardly off-line. As a stand-alone, you have no way of checking to see if the monitor is working until you hook it up.

> 3 dayI bought this monitor to have a second monitor for my setup & its great for the price. The monitor itself is very nice, sleek & easy to use/set up. I own two monitors from Sceptre & my experience is that they make good quality & pretty strong monitors. The only downside they have is that the audio isnt amazing but for the price its not bad, definitely usable. I currently have it vertical or portrait if you will, and paired with my main monitor, it works really well & looks cool too. For gamers who havent gamed beyond 1080p & 60hz, it has a nice and clean screen and everything runs smooth, plus you get 75hz if using a system thatll allow over 60. Its a little lack luster for me personally since I have it next to a 1440p 165hz monitor but I didnt let that affect my rating or review, which is why I rated it very highly. Would recommend this monitor for any gamer, office or home worker, or parents/guardians looking for a gift for a gamer.

> 3 dayFor a budget monitor, this monitor packs a lot into a small box. The monitor is very light weight and can be easily mounted, though tweaking of the stand will be needed due to how light it is. The monitor came with the wall wart power supply as well as one HDMI cord, a #2 Philips screwdriver, a non height adjustable stand, and VESA mount standoffs. The monitor provides great IO for its base cost, 2 HDMI, Audio in and out, and VGA.

> 3 dayIm sending this back. It wasnt a horrible purchase in terms of screen quality. It definitely gets the job done and its lightweight for a great price. For me, however, I would have need to added a separate speaker because what is built in is so soft. If you have a separate speaker or dont use your computer to watch videos much, I think this would be a smart purchase.

> 3 dayI ordered this monitor expecting it to work very well as a second monitor however I ended up returning it. The first thing I did was plug in my Xbox to this monitor and the graphics along with colors greatly decreased in quality. Knowing this I then plugged in my Amazon fire stick and put on Netflix but the audio quality was horrible. It was very easy to set up only needing to hook in the stand but the stand itself is very cheap plastic. The price point of around $80 I was expecting much more in both the audio and graphics department and got neither. The description of this product also feels misleading although correct now have using the monitor. In conclusion I would not recommend this monitor and would suggest looking for a higher quality more expensive monitor or different cheap monitor.

> 3 daySince the first monitor (another brand) I purchased failed on the sixth day of use so far I am pleased with this one. However, customer service was not pleasing or helpful.
