This monitor works great, no complaints with the image quality. This monitor has the power supply/converter on the power plug, not inside the monitor- so it has the larger plug-in and the slimmer power cord that looks more like speaker wire than a POWER cord. Personally I would like the power converter to be a part of the monitor and to be designed for the standard power cord. The smaller power cord function FINE, but can quickly crowd your power strip and also seems to be more susceptible to damage due to the smaller wires.

Great price, easy setup.

I bought two of these so that I could work from home and they are great for just that. I’m not a gamer so I’m not sure about optics there but as an accountant working from home these do the trick. They are easy set up and lite. They don’t take up a lot of space and screen quality is great. For this price point, I can’t imagine you would get something better.

This Sceptre monitor has a clear, sharp picture and is just what I needed as a monitor for my desktop computer. However, the speakers are cheap, tinny, and barely usable. Full 100% volume is needed to hear anything at all from them, and any bass notes are nonexistent. If you need speakers with your monitor, get a different monitor. I have a laptop with stereo speakers, so I know good sound is possible in a small package. Sceptre just chose to put the cheapest speaker in this monitor. I will need to buy speakers for my computer now. One more note: the manual mentions off-line use to check out brightness and other monitor features by using the buttons on the back of the machine - but they do NOT work until the monitor is up and running with a computer. Hardly off-line. As a stand-alone, you have no way of checking to see if the monitor is working until you hook it up.
