> 3 dayGood news: Excellent support from Seagate and Amazon. Bad News: First one did not work, Seagate support was amazing and determined a bad device, Amazon quickly delivered a new one the next day. Second one worked but was also giving errors and made my husbands computer not work after a reboot. There is something wrong with the current batch of this device April 2023. We have the data on the harddrive but my husband does not want to connect it to his computer and neither one of us at this point want to use it to reformat and return!!!! Wasted money.

> 3 daySeagate offers great customer support. I needed advice before I bought the first Ultra Touch because I just bought an IMAC and need to transfer files from PC to MAC. No problem. No re-formatting. It speaks both languages. A bit later on I bought a second one specifically to run the IMAC TIME MACHINE. Highly recommended.

> 3 dayDetach the drive before you let computer go into sleep or hibernate, otherwise after wake up the encryption software will prevent access, system might not be able to identify the hardware thus telling you that the drive needs check and repair, and you cant safely remove

Greater than one weekI dont buy drives anymore unless they are from Seagate. Ive had great luck with them, and not so much with other brands such as Western Digital. Always dependable.
