> 3 dayThe hard drive itself works great, the only issue is that the included USB C adapter does not work.

> 3 dayI needed to transfer files from a PC to a Mac and this did it without trouble. No software to install or setup required for what I was doing. Dragged & dropped the files from the PC, unplugged it, connected it to the Mac, and dragged the files off. Easy.

Greater than one weekIve only had it a couple weeks. Found it very hard to get started and finally got it working and my data backed up via a Mirror file - had to move all my docs to a Mirror file on my PC (a Mac Pro). Then it somehow got locked and my password, which I meticulously saved, does not work - cannot access my data nor does it back up any more - says folder missing. I read on one of the reviews to do a factory reset which I will try. I do not want to return the product since it does have my data on it. I cant access it but fear someone else could. Update- I plugged it into a different USB port on my laptop and it works fine again.

> 3 dayI like that it is compact but holds a lot. Easy to use and now has all my home videos stored onto it.

> 3 dayBackup, backup, backup!!! You hear this all the time, but most people just dont copy their files as often as they should, or not at all. Then what do you do when your computer goes down and you lost all your pictures and important papers/files. Ring a bell? With this device, there is no more excuses. Its fairly fast to copy over your stuff to a safe location. Then keep those files backed up at least once a month. That way if something happens to your PC, then you will get back most of your stuff.

> 3 dayAfter using this product for 3 weeks I find the hardware to be okay (cant say much after 3 weeks) but the software is extremely poorly written. Very sparse user interface. Once you set up a backup plan theres apparently no way to edit it. Mine stopped backing up files 5 days ago, and theres no way to check to see whats wrong, no way to restart it, etc. This is supposed to be automatic but once Windows goes into sleep mode the software just stops working. Hard to believe this comes from a major hard drive vendor. I submitted a question to Seagate this morning. If I dont receive a workable, dependable solution within 2 days Ill return the product to Amazon as defective. A backup solution needs to be automatic. Too bad the company that made Click-Free years ago is no longer around. That product worked. Probably secondary to the geniuses at Microsoft putting too many hurdles in their way to keep the product useful from one version of Windows to the next.

> 3 dayWriting this immediately after taking the box out of the shipping package. You can see how the box looks. Cant tell if it was stepped on before or after it was put in the shipping package. The fit inside the box was tight and would have been even if the side wasnt smashed in. I can see any visual damage. Internal injuries? Will it work? Lets find out...

> 3 dayI just needed to free up space on my hard drive. The bundled backup software really slowed my machine down. Without it, the drives work fine as a place to put files I do not want on my own hard drive.
