09-06-2025Good news: Excellent support from Seagate and Amazon. Bad News: First one did not work, Seagate support was amazing and determined a bad device, Amazon quickly delivered a new one the next day. Second one worked but was also giving errors and made my husbands computer not work after a reboot. There is something wrong with the current batch of this device April 2023. We have the data on the harddrive but my husband does not want to connect it to his computer and neither one of us at this point want to use it to reformat and return!!!! Wasted money.

> 3 dayI am using this to back up photos and video clips to relieve brain space on my Mac. Of course, I have another of a different brand as well as extra backup. I had no problems formatting and was able to start dragging & dropping files immediately. Great price for 1TB and a good solution compared to the many, many flashdrives of every high-rated brand under the sun that has failed.

Greater than one weekIts a fine hard drive for the price, but I bought this because I thought it used a USB-C connection. instead, its a proprietary connection leading to a USB-A...with an A to C adapter. That means one more thing to remember every time I want to connect this hard drive to a modern computer.

Greater than one weekThe storage is immensely bigger than my previous drive and the program can help with my photography hobbies :)

> 3 dayThe quality is very good, exactly the same as the sellers description, very satisfied, really like it, completely exceeding expectations, and the packaging is very careful and strict. Very satisfied shopping, next time I need it, I will choose it again

> 3 dayI have a Mac. I got it in 2011. Shes plugging away working along just fine. Ive never had a problem with it. But its 9 years old. I had a Dell and then a Sony PC, and those lasted about five years. Maybe I could have dragged out a few more years. But 9 years. Thats a long time. I have so many pictures and videos of my loved ones. If I lost them, then Id feel bad. So I did some research looking in to ways to back up everything. Somehow I settled on this. I had hooked it up to my Mac, and it prompted Time Machine to launch. It guided me to set up the device. Now it just automatically backs up periodically. As its connected, an icon appears on my computer screen Backup Plus. I can click on it and view the files. Each backup is dated. Each backup has all my files, my tax data, my checkbook, my financial data, the file with all my passwords, all my pictures, all my videos and all my music. Its there. I can check it. I can click on it. So I know its backing up periodically, and if something happens to my old computer, then Ill still have all the data. And it wasnt even that expensive.

> 3 dayHi, it is a good product, nice ergonomics, good to hold, but: Toolkit is an awful application, with no help, very hard to find the settings there. The second flawback is the customer support, as Mylio and the Adobe Creative cloud come with this, I chose this over other products, but it did not work with instructions written, and the support was no help, they do not help at all... Useless to write. But the storage is 2TB, and I turned off the security, as it is not cross-platform, on one device it brings the modal to write password, on another it opens empty, with no field to fill to access. That is all, but I think I could have bought other drive with same capacity with less money and the better support, quality and programs.

> 3 dayI have a 2017 MacBook Pro with only a 256gb SSD. Ive been able to manage thus far, until my job has transitioned into more media and editing. Using primarily Photoshop & Adobe Illustrator has made this external hard drive a necessity. I formatted it to Mac OS Extended (journaled) using DIsk Utility and have it set up as my scratch disk for my Adobe Cloud and it has been perfect for my needs. Easy and fast and its quiet too. Small footprint makes it easy to throw in my bag and bring it with me. Im very pleased! *One important thing to note that can be seen in the stock photos, but not gleaned from the title: the unit itself is NOT usb c...but rather they include a usb 2 to usb 3 adapter. At 2TB...I should be good to go for a very long time!
