> 24 hourGreat headphones. Got them when they were on sale for $120 CAD or so, which is a ridiculous deal. (Black friday--dont hold your breath for this.) I have another pair of headphones that are higher quality than these, but the problem with those is that, while they sound phenomenal, they get super warm quite quickly. Thats why I picked up the HD 598s. (And also because of that sale, I couldnt help myself.) Theyre known for being some of the most comfortable headphones out there, and they do not disappoint in that respect. Like any full-sized over-ear headphone, they can get warm after some time if youre listening at high volumes, but if youre listening at medium to low volumes, you can wear these guys for hours and hours and just forget about them. This is exactly what I wanted. I use these HD 598s for when Im going to be in front of the computer for long hours doing things like video editing or playing games. When I (with my abnormally high standards) want to be totally blown away by some music or a movie or a show, I use my serious $450 headphones. Having said that, dont underestimate how good the HD 598s sound. By most normal peoples standards, they are EXCELLENT for all of the above. Especially if all youve ever used are cheap headphones or the earbuds that came with your phone, or Beats or Bose for that matter, you will find these astonishingly good. The sound is crystal clear, with an airy, natural character to it. Female vocalists especially like Adele or First Aid Kit sound just sublime. String instruments are glorious. In songs youve listened to a thousand times since you were a teenager youll hear details (in high quality recordings especially) that you never knew were there. The HD 598s dont focus on having bass presence, so if you love electronic or other bass-heavy music that really thumps your head, there are better headphones for you within this price range. Its not that bass-heavy music sounds *bad* with these--it just doesnt sound that bassy. So if youre only an occasional dubstep listener, these may still make you very happy. Also, the bass can modestly boosted on these when paired with a headphone amp. Bottom line on this: even though I have a better-sounding pair, I end up reaching for these more often because theyre so comfortable and still sound great in their own right. Here are a few more basic things for anyone whos relatively new to good headphones. And the other reviews probably say this too, but it bears repeating: these are open back headphones. That means, by design, sound leaks in and out of them. These arent headphones for drowning out the TV someone is watching in the same room as you. Youll still be able to hear the TV unless you crank the volume, at which point youll be bothering the other person since theyll be able to hear everything. Its like wearing little speakers on your head. Needless to say, these also arent meant to be your workout or commuting companions for the same reason. The point of headphones like these is to be used in a relatively quiet environment, like your apartment, to immerse yourself in cinematic, high quality, NATURAL-sounding audio in all your electronic media, without bothering the upstairs neighbours or your partner sleeping in the next room. Its far cheaper than surround sound and way friendlier to the people you live with. Happy listening! Miscellaneous. facts: -headphones come with 2 detachable auxiliary cables--1 is short and 3.5mm only, and the other is long and terminates with a 1/4 plug (for guitar amps, hifi stereo equipment, etc.) but also has a 3.5mm adapter. (3.5mm is the standard for all phones, tablets, computers, ipods, etc etc etc.) -build quality is, well, its plastic and creaks a little, but its solid. durable. will live a long life if decently looked after -earpads are cheaply user replaceable, although you shouldnt need to until after hundreds of hours of use

> 24 hourRien à dire de négatif sur ce casque : - Très confortable, on ne le sent pas sur les oreilles après des heures découte ; - Cest un casque ouvert, cest-à-dire quon entend les bruits extérieurs et que lextérieur entend notre musique ; - Les sons sont bien équilibrés ; - Le câble est amovible, néanmoins cest un câble spécial Sennheiser. Très bonne acquisition (pour 99 € car il sagissait dune vente flash) !

> 24 hourThe probably one of the best headphone i can afford, its open ear so there will be sound leak which will higher at higher sound level, so if are planning to use in office or around other people, you may have to compromise with volume. At 6.5k it beats everything hands down.
